Electronic Structures of Antiperovskite Superconductor MgCNi and Related Compounds
Electronic structure of a newly discovered antiperovskite superconductor
MgCNi is investigated by using the LMTO band method. The main contribution
to the density of states (DOS) at the Fermi energy comes from Ni
3 states which are hybridized with C 2 states. The DOS at is
varied substantially by the hole or electron doping due to the very high and
narrow DOS peak located just below . We have also explored
electronic structures of C-site and Mg-site doped MgCNi systems, and

Electronic structures of antiperovskite superconductors: MgXNi (X=B,C,N)
We have investigated electronic structures of a newly discovered
antiperovskite superconductor MgCNi and related compounds MgBNi and
MgNNi. In MgCNi, a peak of very narrow and high density of states is
located just below , which corresponds to the antibonding
state of Ni-3d and C- but with the predominant Ni-3d character. The
prominent nesting feature is observed in the -centered electron Fermi
surface of an octahedron-cage-like shape that originates from the 19th band.
The estimated superconducting parameters based on the simple rigid-ion
approximation are in reasonable agreement with experiment, suggesting that the
superconductivity in MgCNi is described well by the conventional phonon

Initial-boundary value problems for conservation laws with source terms and the Degasperis-Procesi equation
We consider conservation laws with source terms in a bounded domain with
Dirichlet boundary conditions. We first prove the existence of a strong trace
at the boundary in order to provide a simple formulation of the entropy
boundary condition. Equipped with this formulation, we go on to establish the
well-posedness of entropy solutions to the initial-boundary value problem. The
proof utilizes the kinetic formulation and the compensated compactness method.
Finally, we make use of these results to demonstrate the well-posedness in a
class of discontinuous solutions to the initial-boundary value problem for the
Degasperis-Procesi shallow water equation, which is a third order nonlinear
dispersive equation that can be rewritten in the form of a nonlinear
conservation law with a nonlocal source term.Comment: 24 page
Towards Distributed Convoy Pattern Mining
Mining movement data to reveal interesting behavioral patterns has gained
attention in recent years. One such pattern is the convoy pattern which
consists of at least m objects moving together for at least k consecutive time
instants where m and k are user-defined parameters. Existing algorithms for
detecting convoy patterns, however do not scale to real-life dataset sizes.
Therefore a distributed algorithm for convoy mining is inevitable. In this
paper, we discuss the problem of convoy mining and analyze different data
partitioning strategies to pave the way for a generic distributed convoy

Electronic structure of metallic antiperovskite compound GaCMn
We have investigated electronic structures of antiperovskite GaCMn and
related Mn compounds SnCMn, ZnCMn, and ZnNMn. In the paramagnetic
state of GaCMn, the Fermi surface nesting feature along the
direction is observed, which induces the antiferromagnetic (AFM) spin ordering
with the nesting vector {\bf Q} . Calculated
susceptibilities confirm the nesting scenario for GaCMn and also explain
various magnetic structures of other antiperovskite compounds. Through the band
folding effect, the AFM phase of GaCMn is stabilized. Nearly equal
densities of states at the Fermi level in the ferromagnetic and AFM phases of
GaCMn indicate that two phases are competing in the ground state.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
Relation between Kitaev magnetism and structure in -RuCl
Raman scattering has been employed to investigate lattice and magnetic
excitations of the honeycomb Kitaev material -RuCl and its
Heisenberg counterpart CrCl. Our phonon Raman spectra give evidence for a
first-order structural transition from a monoclinic to a rhombohedral structure
for both compounds. Significantly, only -RuCl features a large
thermal hysteresis, consistent with the formation of a wide phase of
coexistence. In the related temperature interval of K, we observe a
hysteretic behavior of magnetic excitations as well. The stronger magnetic
response in the rhombohedral compared to the monoclinic phase evidences a
coupling between the crystallographic structure and low-energy magnetic
response. Our results demonstrate that the Kitaev magnetism concomitant with
fractionalized excitations is susceptible to small variations of bonding

Influence of aesthetic design elements on residential satisfaction in apartment Based on Seoul apartment complex
This study aimed to examine the influence of aesthetic design elements on residential satisfaction in urban
apartment complexes, focusing on elements that are generally considered less important. A total of 65 apartment
complexes in Seoul, a city predominantly characterized by middle-class apartment living, were surveyed to
assess residential satisfaction. Using multiple regression analysis, the relationships between the dependent
variable (post-occupancy evaluation) and 28 independent variables were analyzed. The results revealed
significant correlations between residential satisfaction and various independent variables. Specifically, three
out of eight aesthetic design factors, namely the main complex entrance design, exterior mass design, and
landscape design, were found to have a significant impact on residential satisfaction, collectively accounting for
17.16% of the total satisfaction variance. This finding suggests that aesthetic design elements play an
increasingly important role in metro cities. The practical implications of this study are twofold. Firstly, it
provides housing providers with strategic guidelines, emphasizing the significance of incorporating aesthetically
pleasing design elements to enhance residential satisfaction. Secondly, the study offers potential customers
valuable information regarding the importance of aesthetic design in their decision-making process when
choosing residential properties. Overall, this research contributes to a better understanding of the relationship
between aesthetic design elements and residential satisfaction in urban apartment complexes, shedding light on
the growing importance of aesthetics in the housing market
