Solder dross removal apparatus
An automatic dross removal apparatus is disclosed for removing dross from the surface of a solder bath in an automated electric component handling system. A rotatable wiper blade is positioned adjacent the solder bath which skims the dross off of the surface prior to the dipping of a robot conveyed component into the bath. An electronic control circuit causes a motor to rotate the wiper arm one full rotational cycle each time a pulse is received from a robot controller as a component approaches the solder bath
A Novel Bis(phosphido)pyridine [PNP]^(2−) Pincer Ligand and Its Potassium and Bis(dimethylamido)zirconium(IV) Complexes
A novel PNP bis(secondary phosphine)pyridine pincer ligand, 2,6-bis(2-(phenylphosphino)phenyl)pyridine, has been prepared in high yield, and the properties of the doubly deprotonated form as a ligand in K_4(PNP)_2(THF)_6 and (PNP)Zr(NMe_2)_2 have been investigated. The neutral PNP ligand has been isolated as a mixture of noninterconverting diastereomers, due to the presence of two chirogenic phosphorus atoms of the secondary phopshines, but coordination of the dianionic form to potassium and zirconium allows for isolation of a single diastereomer in near-quantitative yield. The structure of a bis(dimethylamido)zirconium(IV) derivative of the bis(phosphido)pyridine ligand and DFT calculations suggest that the phosphides do not π-bond to early transition metals, likely due to geometric strain and possibly orbital size mismatch between phosphorus and zirconium. As a result, the soft phosphides are prone to formation of insoluble oligomers with substantial bridging of the phosphido lone pairs to other zirconium centers
Does Maturity Signals High Risk and High Return?
The objective of this study is to examine the interaction between firm maturity and firm growth opportunities over risk and its impact on returns. This study uses 135 firms listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2010 to 2016 as sample which gives 945 as total observed data. This study conducts path analysis in term for hypothesis testing and finds that firm maturity has significant role to increase the risk which gives impact on increasing the returns. In context of Indonesian firms, the findings imply that mature firms will have higher risk and higher returns

Robot gripper
An electronic force-detecting robot gripper for gripping objects and attaching to an external robot arm is disclosed. The gripper comprises motor apparatus, gripper jaws, and electrical circuits for driving the gripper motor and sensing the amount of force applied by the jaws. The force applied by the jaws is proportional to a threshold value of the motor current. When the motor current exceeds the threshold value, the electrical circuits supply a feedback signal to the electrical control circuit which, in turn, stops the gripper motor

Spitzer observations of Bow Shocks and Outflows in RCW 38
We report Spitzer observations of five newly identified bow shocks in the
massive star-forming region RCW 38. Four are visible at IRAC wavelengths, the
fifth is visible only at 24 microns. Chandra X-ray emission indicates that
winds from the central O5.5 binary, IRS~2, have caused an outflow to the NE and
SW of the central subcluster. The southern lobe of hot ionised gas is detected
in X-rays; shocked gas and heated dust from the shock-front are detected with
Spitzer at 4.5 and 24 microns. The northern outflow may have initiated the
present generation of star formation, based on the filamentary distribution of
the protostars in the central subcluster. Further, the bow-shock driving star,
YSO 129, is photo-evaporating a pillar of gas and dust. No point sources are
identified within this pillar at near- to mid-IR wavelengths.
We also report on IRAC 3.6 & 5.8 micron observations of the cluster
DBS2003-124, NE of RCW 38, where 33 candidate YSOs are identified. One star
associated with the cluster drives a parsec-scale jet. Two candidate HH objects
associated with the jet are visible at IRAC and MIPS wavelengths. The jet
extends over a distance of ~3 pc. Assuming a velocity of 100 km/s for the jet
material gives an age of about 30,000 years, indicating that the star (and
cluster) are likely to be very young, with a similar or possibly younger age
than RCW 38, and that star formation is ongoing in the extended RCW 38 region.Comment: 27 pages, 6 figures, accepted to Ap
