-Groups for which each outer -automorphism centralizes only elements
An automorphism of a group is called outer if it is not an inner
automorphism.
Let be a finite -group. Then for every outer -automorphism
of the subgroup has order if and
only if is of order at most
Groups of Order 2048 with Three Generators and Three Relations
It is shown that there are exactly seventy-eight 3-generator 2- groups of
order 2^11 with trivial Schur multiplier. We then give 3-generator, 3-relation
presentations for forty-eight of them proving that these groups have deficiency
zero

All photonic analogue to digital and digital to analogue conversion techniques for digital radio over fibre system applications
Copyright @ 2011 IEEEWideband electronic analogue to digital conversion (ADC) systems have critical problems encountered in high-frequency broadband communication systems that the recent electronic ADCs (EADC) have experienced those such as uncertainty of sampling time. In this paper, an all photonic sampling and quantization ADC and photonic digital to analogue conversion system with six effective number of bits (ENOB) is designed. By using this photonic ADC (PADC), a novel digital radio over fibre link for wireless radio frequency (RF) signal transportation over 20 Km single mode fibre has been designed whose performance is investigated in this paper. In the digital radio over fibre, the dynamic range is independent of the fibre length
Anosmia and Ageusia as the Only Indicators of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
The patient is a 60-year-old woman with a history of vertigo and seasonal allergies who presented to the hospital with the chief complaint of headache. Radiological findings were negative for intracranial abnormalities. The headache was due to trigeminal neuralgia. She had concurrent complaints of anosmia and ageusia without fever, respiratory symptoms, or obvious risk factors. However, it was determined to test the patient for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection despite extremely low clinical suspicion. Unfortunately, she was found to be COVID-19 positive after she was discharged from the hospital while she remained asymptomatic. There is currently a lack of published case reports describing COVID-19 patients with the sole symptoms of anosmia and ageusia in the United States of America
Digital radio over fibre for future broadband wireless access network solution
Copyright @ 2010 IEEEDigital systems are more flexible and environment-process-tolerant than analogue systems. They are more reliable and robust against cross-talk, interference and channel noises, and are capable of covering higher dynamic range than analogue systems. Wideband electronic analogue to digital conversion (ADC) systems have critical problems encountered in high-frequency broadband communication systems that the recent electronic ADCs (EADC) have experienced those such as uncertainty of sampling time. In this paper, an 80Gigasample/s all photonic sampling and quantization ADC and photonic digital to analogue conversion system with six effective number of bits (ENOB) is designed. By using this Photonic ADC (PADC), a digital radio over fibre link for wireless radio frequency (RF) signal transportation over 50 km single mode fibre has been designed whose performance is investigated in this paper
Reliability analysis of bistable composite laminates
Bistable composite laminates are smart composites that have been employed for engineering structures due to their superlative offering of features like ability to change shape and low densities. Because of the embedded geometrical nonlinearity factor, a small variation of input parameters leads to significant changes in the response of the bistable composite laminates. In other words, Uncertainty Quantification (UQ) makes a change in the bistability characteristics. As a result, bistability behavior is extremely reliant on geometrical dimensions and elastic material properties as design parameters. Reliability analysis deals with the quantitative assessment of the occurrence probability due to UQ. In this regard, the reliability and sensitivity analysis of bistable composite plate are investigated through the Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) and multiple types of uncertain parameters, geometry and material properties, are assumed as random variables. The results indicate bistable composite plates have a high probability to be bistability behavior with the assumed statistical properties. Moreover, the sensitivity reliability analysis illustrates that the thickness and coefficient of thermal expansion have more effect on the bistability behavior in comparison to other input parameters. The results are confirmed by comparing them with those determined by the Finite Element Method (FEM)

Enhancement of Visual Field Predictions with Pointwise Exponential Regression (PER) and Pointwise Linear Regression (PLR).
PurposeThe study was conducted to evaluate threshold smoothing algorithms to enhance prediction of the rates of visual field (VF) worsening in glaucoma.MethodsWe studied 798 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma and 6 or more years of follow-up who underwent 8 or more VF examinations. Thresholds at each VF location for the first 4 years or first half of the follow-up time (whichever was greater) were smoothed with clusters defined by the nearest neighbor (NN), Garway-Heath, Glaucoma Hemifield Test (GHT), and weighting by the correlation of rates at all other VF locations. Thresholds were regressed with a pointwise exponential regression (PER) model and a pointwise linear regression (PLR) model. Smaller root mean square error (RMSE) values of the differences between the observed and the predicted thresholds at last two follow-ups indicated better model predictions.ResultsThe mean (SD) follow-up times for the smoothing and prediction phase were 5.3 (1.5) and 10.5 (3.9) years. The mean RMSE values for the PER and PLR models were unsmoothed data, 6.09 and 6.55; NN, 3.40 and 3.42; Garway-Heath, 3.47 and 3.48; GHT, 3.57 and 3.74; and correlation of rates, 3.59 and 3.64.ConclusionsSmoothed VF data predicted better than unsmoothed data. Nearest neighbor provided the best predictions; PER also predicted consistently more accurately than PLR. Smoothing algorithms should be used when forecasting VF results with PER or PLR.Translational relevanceThe application of smoothing algorithms on VF data can improve forecasting in VF points to assist in treatment decisions
