[Resumo] O naval e marítimo-pesqueiro é un dos ámbitos económicos máis importantes, en particular en Galicia, onde, dadas as dimensións deste sector, un bo número de traballadores desenvolve a súa actividade. En moitos aspectos, no devandito ámbito rexe a aplicación de regras especiais fronte ás comúns do dereito laboral e da Seguridade Social, que comunmente son obxecto de estudo específico en diversos manuais doutrinais e mesmo plans de estudo. Neste artigo preténdese ofrecer unha visión xeral do sector desde o punto de vista xurídico para facilitar unha aproximación –en grandes liñas– a esta materia desde a perspectiva da Seguridade Social[Abstract] The naval and the maritime-fishing sectors are some of the most important ones, particularly in Galicia, where a great number of workers carry out their activities due to the size of the sector.
