: Two regioisomers of spirocyclohexenedienone g-lactams 1a and 1b were synthesized from a xanthate precursor 4 via free radical reaction, obtaining different ratios to reaction temperature (-45 °C to 150 °C), maximum regioisomeric ratio was 1:2 at 110-125 °C. Regioselectivity study suggest that products are a result of the stability of their radical precursors. Intermediate precursor of regioisomer 1b is a double a,b-unsaturated carbonyl radical which is thermodynamically stable, whereas precursor of regioisomer 1a is a,b,g,d-unsaturated carbonyl which is kinetically favoured. Spirocyclohexenedienone g-lactams were characterized by 1H and 13C RMN and x-ray diffraction crystals 1a (CCDC: 1050852) and 1b (CCDC: 1050853).</p

Novel tetrahydroindeno[1,2-b]pyrrolidines were conveniently prepared in moderate to good yields via a sequential Ugi multicomponent reaction or Staudinger/aza-Wittig/Ugi combination, followed by the palladium-catalyzed aerobic oxidative cyclization of the resulting Ugi adducts.</p

A facile and rapid synthesis of a family of new hybrid system 1,5-disusbtituted 1H-tetrazol-5yl 4,5-dihydro [1,2,3]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrazin-6-ones in moderate yields is described. Compounds were synthetized by a high-order multicomponent reaction (MCR) to give N-acylated 1,5-disubstituted tetrazoles followed, without chromatographic purification, by an SN2/intramolecular [3 + 2] cycloaddition sequence. The target molecules could be useful in drug discovery processes because they contain two very important pharmacophoric moieties: 1,5-disubstituted tetrazole and 1,2,3- triazole. </p
