Charismatic Christianity and Pentecostal churches in Estonia from a historical perspective

Ringo Ringvee, University of Tartu. Ringo Ringvee is a historian of religion with the special interest in contemporary society. He holds the post of Professor extraordinarius in Comparative Religion at the Theological Institute of the Estonian Evangelical Church, and is also affiliated with the University of Tartu as a member of a research group for religious studies at the Centre of Excellence in Cultural Theory. He has published several articles on the relations between the state and religious associations in contemporary Estonia.This article focuses on the history of Pentecostal and charismatic Christianity in Estonia from the early twentieth century to the early twenty-first century. From the 1870s onwards a series of religious revivals in Estonia created the context for the emergence of the Pentecostal movement in the early twentieth century. Proto-Pentecostalism at the beginning of the century transformed into a fully-fledged Pentecostalism in the 1920s with the involvement of foreign missionaries from Sweden as well as from Finland. The Finnish connection became important in the late 1960s with the emergence of a charismatic Pentecostal revival in the evangelical Christian churches, as well as amongst the Baptists in Tallinn. By the late 1970s the prayer revival had transformed into a healing ministry and this had an impact on the charismatic movement in the Soviet Union. The foreign impact on Pentecostal and charismatic movements in Estonia has also been important from the late 1980s onwards. There has been considerable diversification of the charismatic and Pentecostal traditions in Estonia since the 1990s, and the trends have reflected general changes in charismatic Christianity. Although internally diverse the charismatic Christianity (including the Pentecostals) may well be by now the second largest Protestant tradition in Estonia

A interpretação médica para surdos: a atuação de intérpretes de LIBRAS/Português em contextos da saúde

TCC - Letras LibrasEste trabalho de conclusão de curso tem por finalidade, através de uma pesquisa de campo, de cunho exploratório, descrever a atuação de intérpretes de LIBRAS/Português em contextos médicos. Nesse sentido, os dados foram obtidos através da aplicação de questionários e entrevistas em vídeo, buscando informações de como se efetiva a interpretação para surdos na área da saúde. A interpretação em contextos médicos é um dos ramos da grande área emergente dos estudos da interpretação comunitária que merece uma atenção especial dos pesquisadores, visto a grande importância e o papel desempenhado na saúde pública dos cidadãos. No Brasil, estudos em interpretação médica em contextos de línguas orais também carecem de mais atenção, da mesma forma os contextos de línguas de sinais estão invisibilizadas, visto que a politica de acessibilidade destinada as ditas “pessoas com necessidades especiais”, é uma política mundial de respeito às diferenças e à pluralidade. Contudo, tanto a atenção dispensada à formação destes profissionais como também o desconhecimento das realidades de atuação por parte dos profissionais da saúde apresentam uma lacuna deficitária, e isto se percebe quando se examina a atuação dos intérpretes na área médica

Governing Low Profile Issues: A Frame Analysis of Drug Addiction in a Local Setting

Frame analysis was developed by Erving Goffman as a sociological concept, used for understanding how individual actors relate themselves to the world, creating coherent frames out of individual social experiences. We apply frame analysis in the emergent field of sociology of governance, using the example of low profile public issue of drug addiction in a specific local social and political context of a municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to understand the roles of governance actors and their social interactions in the attribution of meaning. We focus on mental organization of governance experiences related to drug addiction and the strategic involvement of different governance actors which use given frames. Ranch agribisnis is all business activities related to livestock farming activities, the farm is able to improve the rural economy and increase rural incomes ( Sutawi, 2012). The aims of the study : (1) identify the system of chicken management ranch business by plasma partnership system with PT.Gemilang Unggas Prima.(2) analyze feasibility financial of chicken ranch business by plasma partnership system with PT. Gemilang Unggas Prima.(3) analyze the sensitivity of the chicken farm in the district race Rambah Hilir to the possibility of an increase in operating expenses and adecrease in selling prices together. This research was conducted from october 2015 until february 2016. Data collection methods used are surveys and direct interviews with respondents. Broiler breeding business through a partnership with the company's core ( PT.gemilang Unggas Prima) started based on a cooperation agreement that governs all the scope of the partnership includes the benefit and risks of each party effort that must be borne. To meet the obligation of duty as the core enterprise of the plasma business, in this partnership , PT.Gemilang unggas Prima provide a means of livestock production (DOC, fodder, and medicines), equipment enclosures, technology guidance, marketing and payment of the rest of the plasma business. Based on the results of a financial analysis broiler breeding business with a partnership with the scale maintenance 20.000, 13.000, 12.000, 8.000 and 7.000, deserves to be developed , because all the qualified investment feasibility analysis of the five farmers with loan capital from Bank with interest rate of 16%.
