    Satisfaction and Motivation as Determinants of Teacher Performance

    The goal of this research is to investigate the influence of satisfaction and motivation of teacher performance. The method of this research is explanatory survey. Data were collected by questionnaire rating scale 5 scale models. Respondent are teachers of state Vocational High School. Respondent are teachers of State Vocational High School in Cimahi. Data analysis technique using regression. The finding of this research indicated that satisfaction and motivation have a positive and significant influence on teacher performance, either partially or simultaneously. The research concluded that the teacher’s performance can be improved by improving the satisfaction and motivation

    University Student’s Experiences with Online Synchronous Learning during Covid-19

    This study delivers new insights on students' experiences who have studied their courses at least one semester during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We collected 199 respondents and analyzed the result of the questionnaire. The first finding is that students rather use discussions as a method to conduct online learning in classes. Students also would prefer both methods (asynchronous and synchronous) during online learning. We categorized students' learning experiences into intimacy and connection, supports, coordination and collaboration, technical difficulties, and traits. This study concludes that whole experiences about online synchronous learning did not change, except for the lack of personal support from lecturers when students face difficulties in certain subjects and hardware malfunction during classes. We recommend that lecturers pay more attention to students with less comprehension ability. We also recommend that lecturers run more creative ways other than lecturing in classes and limit lecturing time to decrease boredom

    Choice of optimum feedstock portfolio for a cellulosic ethanol plant – A dynamic linear programming solution

    When the lignocellulosic biofuels industry reaches maturity and many types of biomass sources become economically viable, management of multiple feedstock supplies – that vary in their yields, density (tons per unit area), harvest window, storage and seasonal costs, storage losses, transport distance to the production plant – will become increasingly important for the success of individual enterprises. The manager’s feedstock procurement problem is modeled as a multi-period sequence problem to account for dynamic management over time. The case is illustrated with a hypothetical 53 million annual US gallon cellulosic ethanol plant located in south west Kansas that requires approximately 700,000 metric dry tons of biomass. The problem is framed over 40 quarters (10 years), where the production manager minimizes cumulative costs by choosing the land acreage that has to be contracted with for corn stover collection, or dedicated energy production and the amount of biomass stored for off-season. The sensitivity of feedstock costs to changes in yield patterns, harvesting and transport costs, seasonal costs and the extent of area available for feedstock procurement are studied. The outputs of the model include expected feedstock cost and optimal mix of feedstocks used by the cellulosic ethanol plant every year. The problem is coded and solved using GAMS software.     Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh fasilitas kerja, pelatihan, dan kedisiplinan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT.Centrayasa Megatamacipta. Dalam mengatasi masalah Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) harus memperhatikan perkembangan maka kinerja yang dihasilkan agar menunjang kemajuan perusahaan. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah, observasi dan studi dokumentasi.Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 92 responden pada PT. Centrayasa Megatamacipta bagian teknisi dengan jumlah sampel ditetapkan menggunakan metode sampling jenuh. Analisis yang digunakan meliputi uji t,uji f, analisis regresi berganda linier dan Koefisien determinan (R2) dengan menggunakan Software SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil t-hitung fasilitas kerja 0.041 atau 4.1% mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan PT. Centrayasa Megatamacipta,sementara t-hitung pelatihan 3.183 atau 318% mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan PT. Centrayasa Megatamacipta dan t-hitung kedisiplinan 4.170 atau 417% mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan PT. Centrayasa Megatamacipta dengan nilai t-tabel sebesar 1,987 dan nilai koefisien determinasi R² sebesar 0.382 (38,3%) fasilitas kerja, pelatihan dan kedisiplinan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Centrayasa Megatamacipta secara simultan sebesar 38,2% dan sisanya sebesar 61,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang belum diteliti

    Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa melalui Model Contextual Teaching And Learning: Quasi-Eksperimen

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efek penggunaan model contextual teaching and learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dalam penelitian ini, dua kelas dari siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Ciracap tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dipilih sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan model CTL, sedangkan kelas lainnya menjadi kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan model konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest, serta dianalisis dengan metode statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen mencapai skor yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol, dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 5,76 yang menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang tinggi. Selain itu, nilai signifikansi data adalah 0,000, yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan dari penerapan model pengajaran dan pembelajaran kontekstual. Dalam kesimpulannya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model tersebut memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Penelitian ini tidak mengkaji hipotesis atau membuat prediksi, melainkan hanya menjelaskan situasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Sekolah SMP Negeri 7 sudah menggunakan dana BOS namun penggunaan BOS di SMP Negeri 7 Brebes belum efektif, masih melakukan penarikan iuran berupa SPP setiap bulannya kepada orang tua/ wali siswa melalui komite sekolah, walaupun dengan menamakan sumbangan sukarela. Kendala – kendalanya adalah masih kurangnya sosialisasi dan pendampingan yang diberikan tim manajemen BOS Kabupaten kepada tim manajemen BOS Sekolah , pengawasan oleh Dinas Pendidikan kepada sekolah yang dilakukan dalam hal penggunaan dana BOS belum maksimal, Minimnya dana BOS yang diperoleh oleh sekolah. Solusi yang dilakukan adalah peningkatan sosialisasi dan pendampingan yang dilakukan oleh tim manajemen BOS Kota/Kabupaten, pengawasan yang komprehensif dari pihak yang berwenang dan perlunya penambahan jumlah besaran dana BOS untuk mencukupi biaya operasional sekolah Kata kunci : Efektifitas, Bantuan Operasional Sekolah, Kebijaka

    Especially since 1990s when capital flows liberalization took their intensive course, also the literature on foreign direct investment and respectfully cross-border mergers and acquisitions grew. On the other hand, although it was accompanying these processes, foreign divestment attracted much less attention. Speculating about the reasons for such situation, one could stress that following the nature of the balance of payments logic foreign direct divestment was not expected. Nevertheless, these processes were present. This chapter addresses some of the most important impacts of foreign direct investment that had been a subject to inverse processes later. The authors try to confront the drivers of these processes and search for different patterns obviously often deriving outside economic rationale from the position of a developed market economy. Using their expertize the authors connected concrete findings of their study with possible drivers of divestment. According to the finding the common nominator was mixed success with the transition in transition countries
