Several New Metrics for Evaluation of Expert Systems Based on Service-Oriented Architecture
Modern expert systems have some limitations such as vulnerabilities, the unity of solution strategy, development problems, repair and maintenance. These limitations could be covered by Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), due to the advantages and various applications of this architecture and its combination to expert systems. The main purpose of this paper is to survey service-oriented architecture to provide solutions for using this style in order to eliminate the short comings and optimize services in expert systems. In this paper, several metrics for evaluating expert systems based on service-oriented architecture are presented. These metrics are in six branches: agility, integrity, usability and reusability, business objectives, accessibility, offering new and applied services. For each metric some properties are presented which the expert systems show more powerful in evaluation.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v3i5.403
Biography and Services of Seyyed Abdollah Entezam Vaziri
Seyyed Abdollah Entezam Vaziri is one of the political and social figures in the Pahlavi period in Iran (1895-1983). He is originally from the city of Tafresh, one of the cities of Markazi province, and his lineage goes back to Imam Zin al-Abedin AS, one of the Shiite Imams. He has held senior executive positions as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil Company of Iran, and has represented Iran in international organizations. Executive works did not hinder Seyyed Abdollah’s scientific activities, and he was able to write and translate several books. Introducing and Reviewing the Book of Human Fraternity
The book Human Fraternity discusses peace and tranquility among different societies and strengthening them. The author of the book, the late Seyyed Abdollah Entezam Vaziri (1895-1983), is one of the officials of the second Pahlavi period. He wrote the book after the outbreak of two world wars. The devastation and tragedy of the two world wars led to the writing of the book. The book was first published non-scientifically during the life of Entezam (before 1983) and then in April 2021 the publications of Miras-e Farhikhteganby Mansour Rashidi and Ali Ghanbarian published it scientifically and coherently in Iran. Entezam Vaziri was a culture-lover figure and has several books and articles. In the present article, the book Human Fraternity in 2 parts (part one: the structure of the book and part two: the study of the text of the book) is introduced, described, and reviewed
Evaluating Mobility Impacts of Construction Work Zones on Utah Transportation System Using Machine Learning Techniques
Construction work zones are inevitable parts of daily operations at roadway systems. They have a significant impact on traffic conditions and the mobility of roadway systems. The traffic impacts of work zones could significantly vary due to several interacting factors such as work zone factors (work zone location and layout, length of the closure, work zone speed, intensity, and daily active hours); traffic factors (percentage of heavy vehicles, highway speed limit, capacity, mobility, flow, density, congestion, and occupancy); road factors (number of total lanes, number of open lanes, and pavement grade and condition); temporal factors (e.g., year, season, month, weekday, daytime, and darkness); weather conditions (rainy, sunny, and snowy); and spatial factors (road lane width, proximity, and number of ramps). Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is continuously collecting and storing project-related data. Due to the significant impact of work zones on traffic conditions, they are interested in evaluating the impacts of work zone attributes on mobility and traffic conditions of roadway systems within the state of Utah. Such an analysis will help the UDOT personnel better understand and plan for more efficient work zone operations, select the most effective traffic management systems for work zones, and assess the hidden costs of construction operations at work zones. To help UDOT address this problem, we propose a robust, deep neural network (DNN) model capable of evaluating the impacts of the factors mentioned earlier on the mobility conditions of Utah roadway systems. DNNs can capture all the relationships between input variables and output compared to traditional machine learning algorithms. The results of this project show that work zone features have an important effect on the traffic condition. In the end, the performance of the model is evaluated using three different measures, including R2 score, RMSE, and MAE. Comparing the measurement to previously conducted research, it is the first study that has attempted to investigate the effect of work zone features on hourly traffic volume
An empirical investigation on factors influencing choice of foreign market by media firms
This study examines a number of factors suggested in the literature as important determinants of the foreign market selection. Key strategic factors are determined as four groups: host-country characteristics, firm-specific factors, competitive situation and content adaptation. In this study, multiple regression and path analysis are used. To test the model with modeling techniques, the necessary data from 29 media firms were used. It is based on a questionnaire, which has provided several insights into market selection elements. Our findings indicate that all components of the host country, exporting companies, competitive situation and the content adaptation could influence positively the selection of foreign market. The results also indicate that the adaptation of content was the most effective in choosing a foreign market. In addition, cross-cultural adaptation is an important component in selection of foreign markets. The results also suggest that the causal relationships between the independent variables are positive and significant, while the relationship between the content adaptation and the competitive situation has not been confirmed
Prediction of users’ future requests using neural network
With the rapid growth of the World Wide Web, finding useful information from the Internet has become a critical issue. Automatic classification of user navigation patterns provides a useful tool to solve these problems. In this paper, we propose an approach for classification of users’ navigation patterns and prediction of users’ future requests. Users’ profiles are constructed based on Web log server files and one of clustering methods is implemented to users’ profiles for assigning navigation patterns. Finally, using neural network, recommender engine produces a relevant recommendation list of web pages to the active user. The preliminary results indicate that the proposed approach has high accuracy and coverage in prediction of users’ future requests
Self-report demands of patients referred to social workers in Taleghani hospital, Tehran

Examining the jurisprudential ruling on "Astrology and its teaching and learning" from the perspective of contemporary jurisprudence
"Tanjim" means "belief in the effect of the state of the constellations and the movement of stars in human life and terrestrial events" is one of the topics that have long been of interest to humans, including Muslims. The existence of some narrations, for or against this issue, has caused the jurists of Islamic religions to disagree about its permission or sanctity. As far as it is mentioned in Shiite jurisprudential books as one of the forbidden achievements. The issues related to the jurisprudential ruling of Tanjim can be examined in four areas; The principle of entering the discussion of stars and astronomy; Teaching and learning it; Practice it; and acquire it. In this research, in a descriptive-analytical manner, with the information obtained from the library method, and by analyzing the narrations, we examine the arguments of the jurists of the two sects in the second area. Research findings show that; The teaching of astrology is permissible and sometimes recommended if it means astronomy and cosmology. However, it is forbidden if it requires other prohibitions, such as believing in the independent influence of the stars in terrestrial events, or their association with God, lying, or foretelling suspicious matters
