Observation of a -band based on two-quasiparticle configuration in Ge
The structure of Ge has been studied through in-beam gamma ray
spectroscopy. A new band structure is identified that leads to forking of the
ground-state band into two excited bands. Band structures have been
investigated using the microscopic triaxial projected shell model approach. The
observed forking is demonstrated to result from almost simultaneous band
crossing of the two neutron aligned and the \gamma-band built on this
two-quasiparticle configuration with the ground-state band.Comment: 9 pages, 13 figures, Accepted for publication as a Regular Article in

Research Issues in Cloud Computing
Cloud computing moved away from personal computers and the individual enterprise application server to services provided by the cloud of computers The emergence of cloud computing has made a tremendous impact on the Information Technology IT industry over the past few years Currently IT industry needs Cloud computing services to provide best opportunities to real world Cloud computing is in initial stages with many issues still to be addressed The objective of this paper is to explore the different issues of cloud computing and identify important research opportunities in this increasingly important area We present different design challenges categorized under security challenges Data Challenges Performance challenges and other Design Challenge
Mitigation of Insider Attacks through Multi-Cloud
The malicious insider can be an employees, user and/or third party business partner. In cloud environment, clients may store sensitive data about their organization in cloud data centers. The cloud service provider should ensure integrity, security, access control and confidentiality about the stored data at cloud data centers. The malicious insiders can perform stealing on sensitive data at cloud storage and at organizations. Most of the organizations ignoring the insider attack because it is harder to detect and mitigate. This is a major emerging problem at the cloud data centers as well as in organizations. In this paper, we proposed a method that ensures security, integrity, access control and confidentiality on sensitive data of cloud clients by employing multi cloud service providers. The organization should encrypt the sensitive data with their security policy and procedures and store the encrypted data in trusted cloud. The keys which are used during encryption process are again encrypted and stored in another cloud area. So that organization contains only keys for keys of encrypted data. The Administrator of organization also does not know what data kept in cloud area and if he accesses the data, easily caught during the auditing. Hence, the only authorized used can access the data and use it and we can mitigate insider attacks by providing restricted privileges
Clinical approach, diagnosis and medical management of acute pancreatitis among patients attending tertiary care hospital in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh, India
Background: There has been an increase in the incidence of acute pancreatitis reported globally and despite of improvements in access to care and interventional techniques, acute pancreatitis continues to be associated with significant morbidity and mortality. The present study was aimed to assess the clinical profile of acute pancreatitis and to assess the efficacy of various severity indices in view of outcome of patients.
Methods: A hospital based prospective cross-sectional study was conducted from October 2022-March 2023 in Gastro and Liver care center in Ongole, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh India. All consecutive 72 patients with a diagnosis of acute pancreatitis were included in this study.
Results: Out of total acute Pancreatitis cases 61 (84.7%) were males and 11 (15.3%) were females and acute abdominal pain (97.2%) and decreased appetite (95.8%) were the most common presenting complaints, 54.2% cases were due to Alcoholism, followed by hyperlipidemia with 20.8% and Gall stones 13.9%. All 72 (100%) received pancreatic supplements, 68 (94.4%) were given pain killers, and 65 (90.3%) were taken anti-ulcer agents. Twenty-three (31.9%) patients with 0 to 3 points as per CTSI Score and 4-6 range points were observed in 47 (65.3%) pancreatitis patients. Maximum (40.3%) were improved on 2nd day, 22 (30.6%) were on 3rd day. Positive correlation noticed between Amylase and in diagnosing acute Pancreatitis, it is significant at 0.05 level.
Conclusions: Early assessment of the clinical severity and identification of patients at risk is important for early intensive management and timely intervention and to improve quality of life. So, it is mandatory to assess the clinical severity using different scoring systems. and appropriate treatment based on guidelines
Combining ability for grain mold resistance in sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench)
In all sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) production systems, grain molds can reduce the yield and quality of short duration cultivars if they mature in wet and humid weather. This investigation was taken up to find out combining ability for grain mold resistance under 4 environmental conditions by studying 168 hybrids and their parents along with checks. The pooled analysis of variance for combining ability revealed significant differences due to environments, parents, hybrids and various interactions indicating the existence of wide variability in the material under study. The ratios of additive to dominance variances revealed that additive gene action was predominant for inheritance of grain mold resistance (Panicle Grain Mold Rating - PGMR). Among the parents, two A-lines ICSA 369 and ICSA 370 and six testers viz., IS 41675, ICSR 91011, ICSR 89058, PVK 801, GD 65028, GD 65055 in all the 4 environments were identified as a good general combiners for grain mold resistance. These parents can be utilized for the development of grain mold resistant hybrids
Genetics, genomics and breeding of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)
Groundnut is an important food and oil crop in the semiarid tropics, contributing to household food consumption and cash income. In Asia and Africa, yields are low attributed to various production constraints. This review paper highlights advances in genetics, genomics and breeding to improve the productivity of groundnut. Genetic studies concerning inheritance, genetic variability and heritability, combining ability and trait correlations have provided a better understanding of the crop's genetics to develop appropriate breeding strategies for target traits. Several improved lines and sources of variability have been identified or developed for various economically important traits through conventional breeding. Significant advances have also been made in groundnut genomics including genome sequencing, marker development and genetic and trait mapping. These advances have led to a better understanding of the groundnut genome, discovery of genes/variants for traits of interest and integration of marker‐assisted breeding for selected traits. The integration of genomic tools into the breeding process accompanied with increased precision of yield trialing and phenotyping will increase the efficiency and enhance the genetic gain for release of improved groundnut varieties
