On Stress of a Vertex in a Graph
The stress of a vertex in a graph is the number of geodesics passing through
it (A. Shimbel, 1953). A graph is -stress regular if stress of each of its
vertices is . In this paper, we investigate some results and compute stress
of vertices in some standard graphs and give a characterization of graphs with
all vertices of zero stress except for one. Also we compute stress of vertices
in graphs of diameter 2 and in the corona product . Further we
prove that any strongly regular graph is stress regular and characterize
-stress regular graphs for .Comment: 11 pages, 12 figures, accepted for publication in Palestine Journal

Depth Recovery of Complex Surfaces from Texture-less Pairs of Stereo Images
In this paper, a novel framework is presented to recover the 3D shape information of a complex surface using its texture-less stereo images. First a linear and generalized Lambertian model is proposed to obtain the depth information by shape from shading (SfS) using an image from stereo pair. Then this depth data is corrected by integrating scale invariant features (SIFT) indexes. These SIFT indexes are defined by means of disparity between the matching invariant features in rectified stereo images. The integration process is based on correcting the 3D visible surfaces obtained from SfS using these SIFT indexes. The SIFT indexes based improvement of depth values which are obtained from generalized Lambertian reflectance model is performed by a feed-forward neural network. The experiments are performed to demonstrate the usability and accuracy of the proposed framework
Chemistry of Metal (Benzylidene) Picramate-Part III Benzylidene Picramates of Zinc Cadmium and Mercury
Benzylidene picramates of zinc, cadmium and mercury have been prepared by treating the corresponding aqueous sulphate and chloride solutions with sodium salt of 4'-dimethylaminobenzylidence-2-hydroxy-3, 5-dinitroaniline. A metal: ligand ratio of 1:2 has been established in all these cases. I.R. spectral studies of metal benzylidene picramates show N-M coordination (where M is zinc, cadmium or mercury). Explosive properties of these benzylidene picramates have also been studied and it was found that the thermal stability increases as the atomic radius decreases or ionization potential increases
