INFLACIÓN Y PRECIOS RELATIVOS EN COLOMBIA

Este trabajo analiza la relación que existe entre las características de la distribución de precios relativos (resumidas en su varianza y su asimetría) y la inflación al consumidor en Colombia. Una vez se constata la presencia de una relación contemporánea positiva y significativa entre estas variables, se analizan las relaciones de causalidad entre ellas y se procede a verificar en qué medida las características de la distribución de precios relativos contribuyen a mejorar los pronósticos de corto plazo de la inflación.Inflación, Precios relativos, Pronósticos de inflación. Overexpression and purification of the CSFV-E2 recombinant protein for diagnostics from biofactories using biotechnological methods

The production and purification of the E2 protein for develop of a diagnostic tool for detection of classical swine fever virus (CSFV) has raised interest by the current impossibility to distinguish between vaccinated and infected animals. The production of the recombinant E2 protein is important for the development of a diagnostic kit that allows the early detection of animals infected with the swine fever virus.Bionaturis is developing a recombinant E2 molecule using the FlyLife platform. For the production, the E2 protein was cloned in recombinant baculovirus, which were used for protein overexpression by infecting Trichoplusia ni larvae. The addition of a histidine tail to the original protein is also a key question to facilitate E2 protein purification. By using SDS-PAGE and anti-CSFV-V8 Wester blot analyzes, a 44kDa size band of the E2 protein was observed as expected. The results indicated that overexpression efficiently took place, yielding a large amounts of the desired protein.In conclusion, a protein extraction and purification protocol has been developed using affinity chromatography and denaturing conditions and a yield of 0.30 mg/larvae and 86% purity has been obtained. The use of a histidine tail to facilitate purification has allowed an increase in purity. Finally, a step of refolding the denatured protein has been carried out and its activity has been validated by an in vitro potency test by specific antibody recognition (ELISA)

Pedagogies against dispossession: Principles for a transformative eco/demopedagogy as a vehicle for social and environmental justice

Se analiza el contenido pedagógico de las luchas que las comunidades Zapatistas y las comunidades purépechas en México llevan a cabo contra del despojo y por la defensa de los territorios y el entorno ecológico. Se plantea que tales luchas de resistencia de los pueblos indígenas, en la medida que se orientan a la defensa del territorio y toda forma de vida que habita sobre éste, producen saberes y prácticas pedagógicas sobre los cuáles es posible construir, en los países del norte del mundo, una pedagogía transformativa que busque la protección de la vida a partir de formas de democracia densa y contra-hegemónica. El artículo discute una serie de principios que pueden orientar la práctica de una pedagogía crítica de corte ambientalista, democrática y emancipatoria, que aquí denominaremos eco/demopedagogía transformativa. Este artículo construye sobre los postulados teóricos de la pedagogía de la liberación latinoamericana y la pedagogía crítica norteamericana. Su base metodológica es la investigación documental y la observación etnográfica directa en las comunidades indígenas mencionadasThis paper discusses the pedagogical implications of the struggles that the Zapatistas in Chiapas and the Purépecha communities in Mexico have been carrying out against dispossession and for the defense of the territories and the ecological environment. Such struggles, insofar as they focus on the defense of territories and all forms of life that dwell on it produce forms of pedagogical praxis from which we can learn and build, in the Global North, a form of transformative pedagogy aimed at stimulating the conscientization about and protection of all forms of life based on counter-hegemonic and transformative forms of democracy. The article discusses a set of principles that are meant to guide the development and practice of an environmental/ecological, democratic and emancipatory critical pedagogy, which we have labelled herein transformative eco/demopedagogy. This article builds upon the theoretical tradition developed by the Latin American liberation pedagogy and the North American critical pedagogy. Combination of PCR targeting the VD2 of omp1 and reverse line blot analysis for typing of urogenital Chlamydia trachomatis serovars in cervical scrape specimens.

The nested VD2 PCR-RLB developed is a simple, fast, and specific method for the identification of individual urogenital C. trachomatis serovars previously detected by using plasmid PCR. Se describe una nueva especie del género Scybalocanthon (Martínez 1948), Scybalocanthon magnus sp. nov., de los bosques de alta montaña en los Andes orientales de Colombia. La morfología externa, así como el órgano genital masculino y femenino de especímenes adultos son ilustrados y comparados con la especie cercanamente relacionada: Scybalocanthon arcabuquensis Molano & Medina 2010.A new species of the genus Scybalocanthon Martínez 1948, Scybalocanthon magnus sp. nov. is described from high elevation forest in the Eastern Andes of Colombia. The external morphology as well as male and female genitalia of adult specimens are illustrated and compared with the most closely related species: Scybalocanthon arcabuquensis Molano & Medina 2010
