Broadband RCS Reduction of Microstrip Patch Antenna Using Bandstop Frequency Selective Surface
In this article, a simple and effective approach is presented to reduce the Radar Cross Section (RCS) of microstrip patch antenna in ultra broad frequency band. This approach substitutes a metallic ground plane of a conventional patch antenna with a hybrid ground consisting of bandstop Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) cells with partial metallic plane. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach, the influence of different ground planes on antenna’s performance is investigated. Thus, a patch antenna with miniaturized FSS cells is proposed. The results suggest that this antenna shows 3dB RCS reduction almost in the whole out-of operating band within 1-20GHz for wide incident angles when compared to conventional antenna, while its radiation characteristics are sustained simultaneously. The reasonable agreement between the measured and the simulated results verifies the efficiency of the proposed approach. Moreover, this approach doesn’t alter the lightweight, low-profile, easy conformal and easy manufacturing nature of the original antenna and can be extended to obtain low-RCS antennas with metallic planes in broadband that are quite suitable for the applications which are sensitive to the variation of frequencies
Analyticity and the counting rule of matrix poles
By studying scattering amplitudes in the large limit, we
clarify the dependence of the matrix pole position. It is
demonstrated that analyticity and the counting rule exclude the existence
of matrix poles with . Especially the properties
of and with respect to the expansion are discussed.
We point out that in general tetra-quark resonances do not exist.Comment: This paper replaces hep-ph/0412175. The latter is withdraw
Remote coronal dimmings related to a circular-ribbon flare
In this paper, multiwavelength observations of remote coronal dimmings
related to an M1.1 circular-ribbon flare (CRF) in active region (AR) 12434 are
reported. The confined flare without a CME was observed by AIA and HMI on board
SDO on 2015 October 16. Global three-dimensional (3D) magnetic fields before
flare were obtained using the potential field source surface modeling. A few
minutes before the flare hard X-ray peak time (06:13:48 UT), small-scale, weak
dimming appeared 240\arcsec away from the flare site, which can be
observed by AIA only in 131 and 171 {\AA}. Afterwards, long and narrow dimmings
became evident in all AIA EUV passbands except 304 {\AA}, while localized core
dimming was not clearly observed near the flare site. The large-area dimmings
extended southeastward and the areas increased gradually. The total area of
dimmings reaches (1.2)10 Mm in 193 {\AA}. The maximal
relative intensity decreases in 171 and 193 {\AA} reach 90\% and 80\%,
respectively. Subsequently, the dimmings began to replenish and the area
decreased slowly, lasting for 3 hr. The remote dimmings and AR 12434 were
connected by large-scale coronal loops. The remote dimmings were associated
with the southwest footpoints of coronal loops with weak negative polarities.
Possible origins of remote dimmings are discussed.Comment: 4 pages, 6 figures, accepted for publication in A&
A Dispersive Analysis on the and Resonances in Processes
We estimate the di-photon coupling of , and
resonances in a coupled channel dispersive approach. The di-photon
coupling is also reinvestigated using a single channel matrix for
scattering with better analyticity property, and it is found to be
significantly smaller than that of a state. Especially we also
estimate the di-photon coupling of the third sheet pole located near
threshold, denoted as .
It is argued that this third sheet pole may be originated from a coupled
channel Breit-Wigner description of the resonance.Comment: 24 pages and 13 eps figures. A nuerical bug in previous version is

Optical properties of in the normal state
We present the optical reflectance and conductivity spectra for non-oxide
antiperovskite superconductor at different temperatures. The
reflectance drops gradually over a large energy scale up to 33,000 cm,
with the presence of several wiggles. The reflectance has slight temperature
dependence at low frequency but becomes temperature independent at high
frequency. The optical conductivity shows a Drude response at low frequencies
and four broad absorption features in the frequency range from 600 to
33,000 . We illustrate that those features can be well understood from
the intra- and interband transitions between different components of Ni 3d
bands which are hybridized with C 2p bands. There is a good agreement between
our experimental data and the first-principle band structure calculations.Comment: 4 pages, to be published in Phys. Rev.
Magnetic control of the pair creation in spatially localized supercritical fields
We examine the impact of a perpendicular magnetic field on the creation mechanism of electron-positron pairs in a supercritical static electric field, where both fields are localized along the direction of the electric field. In the case where the spatial extent of the magnetic field exceeds that of the electric field, quantum field theoretical simulations based on the Dirac equation predict a suppression of pair creation even if the electric field is supercritical. Furthermore, an arbitrarily small magnetic field outside the interaction zone can bring the creation process even to a complete halt, if it is sufficiently extended. The mechanism for this magnetically induced complete shutoff can be associated with a reopening of the mass gap and the emergence of electrically dressed Landau levels
