    Get PDF
Blockchain, well-known as the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) behind cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, has attracted plenty of attention from both practitioners and academics and has begun to revolutionize the way businesses handle their day-to-day operations. DLT leads to many interesting new research topics in different business fields. In this study, we applied the systematic mapping method to review existing articles related to blockchain applications and research in different business areas (accounting, finance and banking, information systems, marketing and supply chain). Our goal is to understand the current applications and research status related to blockchain, so that we can identify research gaps and better directions for future research. Following the recommended steps of the systematic mapping method, we extracted fifty primary papers from several scientific databases. Our findings suggest that despite the attention received, blockchain research still has a long way to go. Several future research directions are discussed

Design and Modelling of PWM Based Interleaved Boost Converter for PEMFC(Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell)

    Get PDF
Fuel cells are a family of technologies that generate electricity through electrochemical process rather than combustion. Fuel cell is continuously produce electricity as along as fuel is supplied and the catalyst remains active. Fuel cells provide major environmental, energy and economic benefits that advance critical national goals. Proton Exchange Membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is one of the promising technologies for the distributed power generation. For designing high efficiency fuel cell power systems, a suitable DC-DC converter is required. Interleaved boost converter (IBC) is a better solution for fuel cell systems, due to improved electrical performance, reduced weight and size. Due to low temperature and use of precious metal based electrodes PEMFC cell must operate on pure hydrogen. In this paper, the electrochemical modelling of a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) has been carried out. The type of the conversion structure is a boost, increasing the voltage delivered by the fuel cell and controlled by a PWM signal. After modelling the converter, it is connected to the fuel cell

This study aims to describe the increase in learning activeness in economic learning as well as to describe the increase in learning outcomes through the Direct Instruction Method in class XI IPS at the Primagama Tutoring Institute, Ponorogo. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two stages of the cycle. The subjects in this study were the teachers and students of class XI tutoring, totaling 7 students. The data collection methods used were observation, tests, field notes, and documents. The results showed that student activity and student learning outcomes had increased. Before the action was taken, the students' economic learning outcomes who completed were 28.57%,%, in the first cycle the economic learning outcomes of students who completed increased to 57.14%, in the second cycle the economic learning outcomes increased to 85.71%. Based on the research data, it can be concluded that the Direct Instruction learning method can increase student activity and economic learning outcomes in class XII IPS at the Primagama Tutoring Institute, Ponorogo. Many Asian countries use the bark of the Magnolia for medicinal purposes. Magnolia has many medical uses, including regulating GI motility, treating cough and asthma, preventing cardiovascular disease, and treating mental illness and brain disorders. To date, 118 magnolia species have been discovered. However, the International Union for Conservation of Nature has designated 231 species as vulnerable and critically endangered. Magnolia leaves yielded 20 isolated chemicals, including 16 lignans with 6 distinct structural types, such as honokiol, veraguensin, sitosterol, and magliflonenone. Magnolia species show pharmacological activities like Neuroprotective, anti-cancer, Anti-microbial, Antiplatelets, Anti-asthmatic, Gastrointestinal, and Hormone regulation. Magnolia bark extracts such as honokiol 2',6-di-(5-propenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-2,2'-diol, have been demonstrated to benefit health. In recent in vitro and preclinical research, honokiol was found to have anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic, anti-oxidative, and anti-cancer activities. Honokiol and magnolol prevented the thromboxane B2 synthesis in response to thrombin, arachidonic acid, and collagen. So, soon, if we cultivate and save the endangered magnolia species through biotechnological means, it will be a boon for mankind

A cystic non-Wilms renal tumor in a Nepalese boy: A rare case of clear cell sarcoma.

INTRODUCTION: Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney (CCSK) is an uncommon childhood malignancy known for its aggressive behavior and tendency to recur and metastasize to the brain and bones. CASE PRESENTATION: We report a four-year-old boy evaluated for non-specific abdominal pain with an incidental radiological finding of a right lower pole cystic renal mass initially thought to be cystic Wilms\u27 tumor. A pretherapy core biopsy of the mass suggested a clear cell tumor. An open transperitoneal radical nephroureterectomy with aortocaval lymph node sampling was done. Based on histopathological findings and immunohistochemical analysis, CCSK was diagnosed. Appropriate chemotherapy and radiotherapy were instituted postoperatively. At six years follow-up, he was tumor-free and doing well. CLINICAL DISCUSSION: The workup for CCSK includes diagnostic and metastatic imaging, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry analysis. Diagnostic segregation of CCSK and Wilms\u27 tumor is imperative to institute optimal oncological management and improve overall treatment outcomes. CONCLUSION: Considering the age of presentation and clinico-radiological appearance, CCSK can be mistaken for Wilms\u27 tumor, which is much more common in occurrence despite the distinguishable histopathological features, treatment modalities, and prognosis

    Spigelian Hernia: A Case report

A Spigelian hernia is a hernia through the Spigelian fascia which are difficult to diagnose as they do not present with a subcutaneous swelling and can be dangerous as there is a high risk of incarceration. We report a case of a 51-year-old female who presented to our surgical unit with epigastric pain for 5 days. She was diagnosed with Spigelian hernia with esophagitis and antral gastritis with the help of a computed tomography scan and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. The diagnosis was confirmed on diagnostic laparoscopy and transabdominal preperitoneal repair of the defect was performed using prolene mesh. Her post-operative period was uneventful. Spigelian hernias are rare and patients can present with atypical symptoms as in this case. Thus, imaging plays a vital role in diagnosis. Management is surgical and has good outcomes
