FlexAuc: Serving Dynamic Demands in a Spectrum Trading Market with Flexible Auction
In secondary spectrum trading markets, auctions are widely used by spectrum
holders (SHs) to redistribute their unused channels to secondary wireless
service providers (WSPs). As sellers, the SHs design proper auction schemes to
stimulate more participants and maximize the revenue from the auction. As
buyers, the WSPs determine the bidding strategies in the auction to better
serve their end users.
In this paper, we consider a three-layered spectrum trading market consisting
of the SH, the WSPs and the end users. We jointly study the strategies of the
three parties. The SH determines the auction scheme and spectrum supplies to
optimize its revenue. The WSPs have flexible bidding strategies in terms of
both demands and valuations considering the strategies of the end users. We
design FlexAuc, a novel auction mechanism for this market to enable dynamic
supplies and demands in the auction. We prove theoretically that FlexAuc not
only maximizes the social welfare but also preserves other nice properties such
as truthfulness and computational tractability.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figures, Preliminary version accepted in INFOCOM 201
Cascaded Entanglement Enhancement
We present a cascaded system consisting of three non-degenerate optical
parametric amplifiers (NOPAs) for the generation and the enhancement of quantum
entanglement of continuous variables. The entanglement of optical fields
produced by the first NOPA is successively enhanced by the second and the third
NOPAs from -5.3 to -8.1 below the quantum noise limit. The dependence
of the enhanced entanglement on the physical parameters of the NOPAs and the
reachable entanglement limitation for a given cascaded NOPA system are
calculated. The calculation results are in good agreement with the experimental
measurements.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
CEP Calculation Based on Weighted Bayesian Mixture Model
CEP is an important accuracy index in the test evaluation for guidance weapon systems. As for the samples origin from diverse populations, which is a general case in the practice, traditional method with one population is inaccurate to give estimate directly. A weighted method considering the credibility of the prior information is proposed for Bayesian estimation algorithm and the weighted estimation of normal distribution parameters is provided. And the statistical diversity between the weighted and classical methods is quantified, and upper bound of the calculation errors caused by prior distortion is deduced for mixture of finite normal distributions. Taking the estimation of the dispersion of the guided weapon impact points as an example, the conclusion is drawn that our method is credible
Experimental Demonstration of Unconditional Entanglement Swapping for Continuous Variables
The unconditional entanglement swapping for continuous variables is
experimentally demonstrated. Two initial entangled states are produced from two
nondegenerate optical parametric amplifiers operating at deamplification.
Through implementing the direct measurement of Bell-state between two optical
beams from each amplifier the remaining two optical beams, which have never
directly interacted with each other, are entangled. The quantum correlation
degrees of 1.23dB and 1.12dB below the shot noise limit for the amplitude and
phase quadratures resulting from the entanglement swapping are straightly
measured.Comment: new versio
