Comment on ``Solution of Classical Stochastic One-Dimensional Many-Body Systems''
In a recent Letter, Bares and Mobilia proposed the method to find solutions
of the stochastic evolution operator with a
non-trivial quartic term . They claim, ``Because of the conservation of
probability, an analog of the Wick theorem applies and all multipoint
correlation functions can be computed.'' Using the Wick theorem, they expressed
the density correlation functions as solutions of a closed set of
integro-differential equations.
In this Comment, however, we show that applicability of Wick theorem is

VOLUNTARY ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL RISK TRADEOFFS IN CROP PROTECTION DECISIONS
An indirect utility model is employed for measuring farmers willingness to voluntarily accept yield losses for a reduction in environmental risk by decreasing pesticide use. Results support the hypothesis that farmers have self-described risk perceptions that enable them to make assessments of risk-yield tradeoffs. Statistical Mechanics of Three-dimensional Kerr-de Sitter Space
The statistical computation of the (2+1)-dimensional Kerr-de Sitter space in
the context of the {\it classical} Virasoro algebra for an asymptotic isometry
group has been a mystery since first, the degeneracy of the states has the
right value only at the infinite boundary which is casually disconnected from
our universe, second, the analyses were based on the unproven Cardy's formula
for complex central charge and conformal weight. In this paper, I consider the
entropy in Carlip's "would-be gauge" degrees of freedom approach instead. I
find that it agree with the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy but there are no the

Light mixed sneutrinos as thermal dark matter
In supersymmetric models with Dirac neutrino masses, a left-right mixed
sneutrino can be a viable dark matter candidate. We examine the
MSSM+ parameter space where this is the case with particular
emphasis on light sneutrinos with masses below 10 GeV. We discuss implications
for direct and indirect dark matter searches, including the relevant

Presure-Induced Superconducting State of Antiferromagnetic CaFeAs
The antiferromagnet CaFeAs does not become superconducting when
subject to ideal hydrostatic pressure conditions, where crystallographic and
magnetic states also are well defined. By measuring electrical resistivity and
magnetic susceptibility under quasi-hydrostatic pressure, however, we find that
a substantial volume fraction of the sample is superconducting in a narrow
pressure range where collapsed tetragonal and orthorhombic structures coexist.
At higher pressures, the collapsed tetragonal structure is stabilized, with the
boundary between this structure and the phase of coexisting structures strongly
dependent on pressure history. Fluctuations in magnetic degrees of freedom in
the phase of coexisting structures appear to be important for

Horava Gravity and Gravitons at a Conformal Point
Recently Horava proposed a renormalizable gravity theory with higher
derivatives by abandoning the Lorenz invariance in UV. Here, I study the Horava
model at , where an anisotropic Weyl symmetry exists in the UV
limit, in addition to the foliation-preserving diffeomorphism. By considering
linear perturbations around Minkowski vacuum, I show that the scalar graviton
mode is completely disappeared and only the usual tensor graviton modes remain
in the physical spectrum. The existence of the UV conformal symmetry is unique
to the theory with the detailed balance and it is quite probable that
be the UV fixed point. This situation is analogous to
, which is Lorentz invariant in the IR limit and is believed to be

Epitaxial Growth of an n-type Ferromagnetic Semiconductor CdCr2Se4 on GaAs(001) and GaP(001)
We report the epitaxial growth of CdCr2Se4, an n-type ferromagnetic
semiconductor, on both GaAs and GaP(001) substrates, and describe the
structural, magnetic and electronic properties. Magnetometry data confirm
ferromagnetic order with a Curie temperature of 130 K, as in the bulk material.
The magnetization exhibits hysteretic behavior with significant remanence, and
an in-plane easy axis with a coercive field of ~125 Oe. Temperature dependent
transport data show that the films are semiconducting in character and n-type
as grown, with room temperature carrier concentrations of n ~ 1 x 10^18 cm-3.Comment: 12 pages, 3 figure
