Jharkhand is properly known as the land of forests. It consists of full of hills rivers; valley and green forests .This state has its own charm. So for as matter of pollution causing health point of view the Jharkhand is good place.Scientific method has been used for this study. The four villages of Namkom of Ranchi District are a areas of study. Purposive sampling method was applied for selection of 100 hundred respondents among the Uraon, Lohra, Munda, Chik Baraik and Mahli tribal?s women and data has been collected through Interview and observation method. Descriptive Research Design has been used for conducting the present study. After survey its is prevailed that there is contradiction between perception and the realization. The study finds that the most of the tribal?s women are being benefited from above efforts. Unfortunately a number of Govt. health activist are not in position to undertake a requirement of tribal people as a whole. The Indian Govt. spent a lot of money for the health care of tribal women but unfortunately they are being affected from the Anemia, Vitamin A deficiency T.B. Filaria, Blindness, Iodine deficiency Mal- nutrition and several diseases.

Hematite Suspension based Absorbent Pad Inclined Slider Influenced by Slip and Squeeze Velocity with Altering Film Ratio

The effects of various entities like slip and squeeze velocities, inlet-outlet film ratio, and the material parameter have been fairly explored in a hematite suspension based absorbent (porous) pad inclined slider. Mathematical expressions for pressure, load capacity (lifting force), friction, friction coefficient, and position of centre of pressure (COP) in terms of the above physical parameters have been acquired. Jenkins model has been employed as a mathematical set of governing equations. It has been found that an increase in the squeeze velocity has enhanced the load capacity and diminished the friction coefficient whereas the escalating values of slip velocity and material properties have reversed the trends. Besides, the optimum value of the inlet-outlet film ratio for maximum load capacity has reduced with a rise in the squeeze velocity. Improvement in material parameters shifted the position of COP slightly towards the inlet while an enhancement in the squeeze velocity and film ratio shifted the same slightly towards the outlet. The results acquired in the present paper will be helpful in designing and modifying the various types of fluid dynamic slider bearings

Ablation of Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 Prevents Cardiomyocytes Contractile Dysfunction in Diabetics

Elevated expression and activity of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9) and decreased contractility of cardiomyocytes are documented in diabetic hearts. However, it is unclear whether MMP is involved in the regulation of contractility of cardiomyocytes in diabetic hearts. In the present study, we tested the hypothesis that MMP9 regulates contractility of cardiomyocytes in diabetic hearts, and ablation of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9) prevents impaired contractility of cardiomyocytes in diabetic hearts. To determine the specific role of MMP9 in cardiomyocyte contractility, we used twelve - fourteen week male WT (normoglycemic sibling of Akita), Akita, and Ins2+/- /MMP9-/- (DKO) mice. DKO mice were generated by cross-breeding male Ins2+/- Akita (T1D) with female MMP9 knockout (MMP9-/-) mice. We isolated cardiomyocytes from the heart of the above three groups of mice and measured their contractility and calcium transients. Moreover, we determined mRNA and protein levels of sarco-endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase-2a (SERCA-2a), which is involved in calcium handling during contractility of cardiomyocytes, in WT, Akita, and DKO hearts using qPCR, Western blotting and immunoprecipitation, respectively. Our results revealed that in Akita hearts where increased expression and activity of MMP9 is reported, the rates of shortening and re-lengthening (± dL/dt) of cardiomyocytes were decreased, time to 90% peak height and baseline during contractility was increased, rate of calcium decay was increased, and calcium transient was decreased as compared to WT cardiomyocytes. However, these changes in Akita were blunted in DKO cardiomyocytes. The molecular analyses of SERCA-2a in the hearts showed that it was downregulated in Akita as compared to WT but was comparatively upregulated in DKO. These results suggest that abrogation of MMP9 gene prevents contractility of cardiomyocytes, possibly by increasing SERCA-2a and calcium transients. We conclude that MMP9 plays crucial role in the regulation of contractility of cardiomyocytes in diabetic hearts

Prakriti (Constitution) of a person are seven different types based on the dominancy of Doshas. The Prakriti of a person is determined by the predominance of a particular Doshas at the time of conception and also influenced by the environmental factors. Prakriti has direct influence on the academic performance of the children as the memory and intelligence is governed by dominance of Doshas in our body. For identification of Prakriti we depend upon certain criterias which are mostly based on physiological, anatomical and psychological factors. By knowing Prakriti of children we can apply useful guidelines on them which may help them to make a right judgment and attitude towards life. It will also help to form a useful frame work for future of children. With this preview present study was conducted to assess the correlation between academic performance and Prakriti childhood period. Healthy volunteers were selected randomly from the survey done and OPD of NIA, Jaipur. 140 children were selected for the study after taking informed consent. There Prakriti was assessed and digit span test was done to retest impact of Prakriti on memory of the children. The comparison between the memory counted from proformas and digit span test was done. It was found that out of seven types of Prakriti that the subjects which include Vata and Pitta dominancy have good short term memory and subjects with Vata dominancy have good short term memory

Experimental investigations of a single cylinder genset engine with common rail fuel injection system

Performance and emissions characteristics of compression ignition (CI) engines are strongly dependent on quality of fuel injection. In an attempt to improve engine combustion, engine performance and reduce the exhaust emissions from a single cylinder constant speed genset engine, a common rail direct injection (CRDI) fuel injection system was deployed and its injection timings were optimized. Results showed that 34°CA BTDC start of injection (SOI) timings result in lowest brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) and smoke opacity. Advanced injection timings showed higher cylinder peak pressure, pressure rise rate, and heat release rate due to relatively longer ignition delay experienced

Exercise ameliorates high fat diet induced cardiac dysfunction by increasing interleukin 10.

Increasing evidence suggests that a sedentary lifestyle and a high fat diet (HFD) leads to cardiomyopathy. Moderate exercise ameliorates cardiac dysfunction, however underlying molecular mechanisms are poorly understood. Increased inflammation due to induction of pro-inflammatory cytokine such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and attenuation of anti-inflammatory cytokine such as interleukin 10 (IL-10) contributes to cardiac dysfunction in obese and diabetics. We hypothesized that exercise training ameliorates HFD- induced cardiac dysfunction by mitigating obesity and inflammation through upregulation of IL-10 and downregulation of TNF-α. To test this hypothesis, 8 week old, female C57BL/6J mice were fed with HFD and exercised (swimming 1 h/day for 5 days/week for 8 weeks). The four treatment groups: normal diet (ND), HFD, HFD + exercise (HFD + Ex) and ND + Ex were analyzed for mean body weight, blood glucose level, TNF-α, IL-10, cardiac fibrosis by Masson Trichrome, and cardiac dysfunction by echocardiography. Mean body weights were increased in HFD but comparatively less in HFD + Ex. The level of TNF-α was elevated and IL-10 was downregulated in HFD but ameliorated in HFD + Ex. Cardiac fibrosis increased in HFD and was attenuated by exercise in the HFD + Ex group. The percentage ejection fraction and fractional shortening were decreased in HFD but comparatively increased in HFD + Ex. There was no difference between ND and ND + Ex for the above parameters except an increase in IL-10 level following exercise. Based on these results, we conclude that exercise mitigates HFD- induced cardiomyopathy by decreasing obesity, inducing IL-10, and reducing TNF-α in mice

Background: Supracondylar humerus fractures are one of the commonest fractures encountered in children. This fracture has been managed both conservatively with a long arm plaster and operatively by fixing with Kirschner wires. Debate still remains regarding the pin configuration to be used for fracture stabilisation. This study analyses the clinical and radiological parameters following fixation of supracondylar humerus fractures in paediatric patients with three lateral pins. Methods: It is a prospective study with 30 patients conducted between April 2016 and September 2016 conducted in Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. All the said patients underwent closed reduction and percutaneous pinning with three laterally placed divergent kirschner wires. Results: Most of the patients in this study had clinicoradiological parameters well within normal limits, barring a few. The baumann’s angle was well within normal limits in these cases as found in subsequent follow-ups.Conclusions: In this study, it was found that lateral pinning can be safely employed for fixing supracondylar humerus fractures in children with lesser chances of iatrogenic ulnar nerve palsy which was encountered with crossed pin configuration.
