(The article deals with the study of young people’s language subcode as one of the urgent issues in modern Germanistics. The author analyses the works of foreign and domestic scientists to determine the main features of this linguistic phenomenon and relevance of designating it as «language», «jargon», «social dialect» and «slang». Scientific papers of different years demonstrate the existence of different viewpoints and approaches in the given research field. Young people’s language subcode is not a separate language, but a component of the German language system. Its peculiarities are represented primarily on lexical-semantic level and in violation of phonological and syntactical rules of standard German. An important determinant for existence of young communicants’ specific vocabulary is their need for protest. Young people use their language subcode in informal communication, outside the sphere of official activities or education. Equal status of communication partners, their belongingness to a group play an important role. There are many varieties of young people’s language subcode because of heterogeneity of the given social and age group. Youth words are used in the life spheres, which are the most relevant for young people. These lexical units are results of secondary nomination, substituting standard German vocabulary. They are formed by metaphorizing, word-building or borrowing, their main feature is expressive colouring. Many researchers emphasize pejorative character of youth vocabulary, a lot of rude words and expressions. The most relevant terms to describe young people’s language subcode are «jargon» and «slang». It is also correct to determine this linguistic phenomenon as social dialect.

Measurement of the Polarized Structure Function σLT\sigma_{LT^\prime} for p(e,eπ+)np(\vec{e},e'\pi^+)n in the Δ(1232)\Delta(1232) Resonance Region

The polarized longitudinal-transverse structure function σLT\sigma_{LT^\prime} has been measured using the p(e,eπ+)np(\vec e,e'\pi^+)n reaction in the Δ(1232)\Delta(1232) resonance region at Q2=0.40Q^2=0.40 and 0.65 GeV2^2. No previous σLT\sigma_{LT^\prime} data exist for this reaction channel. The kinematically complete experiment was performed at Jefferson Lab with the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) using longitudinally polarized electrons at an energy of 1.515 GeV. A partial wave analysis of the data shows generally better agreement with recent phenomenological models of pion electroproduction compared to the previously measured π0p\pi^0 p channel. A fit to both π0p\pi^0 p and π+n\pi^+ n channels using a unitary isobar model suggests the unitarized Born terms provide a consistent description of the non-resonant background. The tt-channel pion pole term is important in the π0p\pi^0 p channel through a rescattering correction, which could be model-dependent.Comment: 6 pages, LaTex, 5 eps figures: Submitted to PRC/Brief Reports v2: Updated referenc

Q^2 Dependence of the S_{11}(1535) Photocoupling and Evidence for a P-wave resonance in eta electroproduction

New cross sections for the reaction epeηpep \to e'\eta p are reported for total center of mass energy WW=1.5--2.3 GeV and invariant squared momentum transfer Q2Q^2=0.13--3.3 GeV2^2. This large kinematic range allows extraction of new information about response functions, photocouplings, and ηN\eta N coupling strengths of baryon resonances. A sharp structure is seen at WW\sim 1.7 GeV. The shape of the differential cross section is indicative of the presence of a PP-wave resonance that persists to high Q2Q^2. Improved values are derived for the photon coupling amplitude for the S11S_{11}(1535) resonance. The new data greatly expands the Q2Q^2 range covered and an interpretation of all data with a consistent parameterization is provided.Comment: 31 pages, 9 figure

Near-threshold Photoproduction of Phi Mesons from Deuterium

We report the first measurement of the differential cross section on ϕ\phi-meson photoproduction from deuterium near the production threshold for a proton using the CLAS detector and a tagged-photon beam in Hall B at Jefferson Lab. The measurement was carried out by a triple coincidence detection of a proton, K+K^+ and KK^- near the theoretical production threshold of 1.57 GeV. The extracted differential cross sections dσdt\frac{d\sigma}{dt} for the initial photon energy from 1.65-1.75 GeV are consistent with predictions based on a quasifree mechanism. This experiment establishes a baseline for a future experimental search for an exotic ϕ\phi-N bound state from heavier nuclear targets utilizing subthreshold/near-threshold production of ϕ\phi mesons

First measurement of coherent ϕ\phi-meson photoproduction on deuteron at low energies

The cross section and decay angular distributions for the coherent \phi meson photoproduction on the deuteron have been measured for the first time up to a squared four-momentum transfer t =(p_{\gamma}-p_{\phi})^2 =-2 GeV^2/c^2, using the CLAS detector at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. The cross sections are compared with predictions from a re-scattering model. In a framework of vector meson dominance, the data are consistent with the total \phi-N cross section \sigma_{\phi N} at about 10 mb. If vector meson dominance is violated, a larger \sigma_{\phi N} is possible by introducing larger t-slope for the \phi N \to \phi N process than that for the \gamma N \to \phi N process. The decay angular distributions of the \phi are consistent with helicity conservation.Comment: 6 page

Differential cross sections and recoil polarizations for the reaction gamma p -> K+ Sigma0

High-statistics measurements of differential cross sections and recoil polarizations for the reaction γpK+Σ0\gamma p \rightarrow K^+ \Sigma^0 have been obtained using the CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab. We cover center-of-mass energies (s\sqrt{s}) from 1.69 to 2.84 GeV, with an extensive coverage in the K+K^+ production angle. Independent measurements were made using the K+pπK^{+}p\pi^{-}(γ\gamma) and K+pK^{+}p(π,γ\pi^-, \gamma) final-state topologies, and were found to exhibit good agreement. Our differential cross sections show good agreement with earlier CLAS, SAPHIR and LEPS results, while offering better statistical precision and a 300-MeV increase in s\sqrt{s} coverage. Above s2.5\sqrt{s} \approx 2.5 GeV, tt- and uu-channel Regge scaling behavior can be seen at forward- and backward-angles, respectively. Our recoil polarization (PΣP_\Sigma) measurements represent a substantial increase in kinematic coverage and enhanced precision over previous world data. At forward angles we find that PΣP_\Sigma is of the same magnitude but opposite sign as PΛP_\Lambda, in agreement with the static SU(6) quark model prediction of PΣPΛP_\Sigma \approx -P_\Lambda. This expectation is violated in some mid- and backward-angle kinematic regimes, where PΣP_\Sigma and PΛP_\Lambda are of similar magnitudes but also have the same signs. In conjunction with several other meson photoproduction results recently published by CLAS, the present data will help constrain the partial wave analyses being performed to search for missing baryon resonances.Comment: 23 pages, 17 figure

Electroproduction of ϕ(1020)\phi(1020) mesons at 1.4Q21.4\leq Q^2\leq GeV2^2 measured with the CLAS spectrometer

    Get PDF
Electroproduction of exclusive ϕ\phi vector mesons has been studied with the CLAS detector in the kinematical range 1.4Q23.81.4\leq Q^2\leq 3.8 GeV2^{2}, 0.0t3.60.0\leq t^{\prime}\leq 3.6 GeV2^{2}, and 2.0W3.02.0\leq W\leq 3.0 GeV. The scaling exponent for the total cross section as 1/(Q2+Mϕ2)n1/(Q^2+M_{\phi}^2)^n was determined to be n=2.49±0.33n=2.49\pm 0.33. The slope of the four-momentum transfer tt' distribution is bϕ=0.98±0.17b_{\phi}=0.98 \pm 0.17 GeV2^{-2}. Under the assumption of s-channel helicity conservation (SCHC), we determine the ratio of longitudinal to transverse cross sections to be R=0.86±0.24R=0.86 \pm 0.24. A 2-gluon exchange model is able to reproduce the main features of the data.Comment: Phys Rev C, 15 pages, 18 figure
