    Formalization of OLAP-cubes and relational databases with the algebra of sets

    Mathematical formalization of OLAP-cubes is developed. Dimensions of cube and Cartesian products are supplied with an algebra of sets and measure. These sets are involved in queries. Operations projection and cross section are consistent with the algebra of dimension. Relational connections between dimensions realized with the help of index maps on the works of these dimensions. We introduce three types of index maps to the dimension corresponding to the three types of relational ties. It is shown that the relational database is an OLAP-cube with the corresponding index maps, and can be written by one formula. As an example the analytical processing of the questionnairesПредлагается математическая формализация OLAP-кубов, в которой размерности куба и их декартовые произведения снабжаются алгеброй подмножеств и мерой. Эти множества участвуют в запросах. Операции проекции и сечения согласуются с алгебрами размерностей. Реляционные связи между размерностями реализуются с помощью индексных отображений на произведениях этих размерностей. Вводятся три типа индексных отображений на размерности, соответствующие трем типам реляционных связей. Показано, что реляционная база данных является OLAP-кубом с соответствующими индексными отображениями и может быть записана одной формулой.     On the features of Hurst Exponent estimates of the Fractional Brownian motion calculated by the R/S-analysis

    The article presents the analysis results of the dependence of the accuracy in estimating Hurst exponent of the Fractional Brownian motion by the R/S-analysis towards the method parameters Lmin, Lmax . It is found that the estimation of the Hurst exponent coinciding with its corresponding value is used to generate Fractional Brownian Hmod motion only when L max, L. Otherwise, Hurst Exponent Estimate H depending on the value Lmax varies in the span [0.25; 1.12]. The result obtained points out that it is necessary to critically revise the results of a number of studies where in order to analyze and forecast the dynamics of complex systems of different nature (for example, in economic ones) the authors employed the R/S-evaluation exponents of the Hurst exponent H of the time series (TS), composed of the exponents characterizing the state of the given system at a certain point. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

    The development of a heterogeneous MP data model based on the ontological approach

    The article discusses the approaches providing symmetric access of all industrial production services to the data of business processes of the enterprise by building a single warehouse of heterogeneous data of a metallurgical production. The warehouse is a part of an automated statistic quality control system for the products of a metallurgical enterprise. The article describes an ontological storage model of data coming from various sources of information in the production process. The concept of “a unit of production of metallurgical production” is introduced that is the connecting component of the entire production life cycle of a metallurgical production. The authors propose an ontological model of the production process, in terms of information flows which are formed in an enterprise at each stage of production. Based on the constructed ontological model, the structure of recording an array of information in the heterogeneous data warehouse is justified and formed. Heterogeneous data warehouse forms a single information space of the enterprise, which serves as the basis for analytical analysis throughout the production and decision—making process. For example, timely response to the deviation reasons from the given physical and chemical properties of the finished product. © 2021 by the authors.     The article discusses the data preparation module of the automated metallurgical production system, which provides data to obtain from heterogeneous sources (ASS, CIS, MES, ERP systems ), convert heterogeneous data into a convenient form for subsequent storing, configure the converting rules and output heterogeneous data relevant to the query. Proposed components of the data preparation module: logical structure of data preparation module, algorithm of data preparation module operation, the link with simulation modeling and other modules, the list of technical equipment.     Систематичність самостійної роботи студентів у хмарному навчальному середовищі

    The paper deals with the problem of out-of-class students’ independent work in information and communication learning environment based on cloud technologies. Results of appropriate survey among students of pedagogical university are discussed. The students answered the questions about systematicity of their learning activity and propositions for its improving. It is determined that the leading problems are needs in more careful instruction according to features of the task completing, insufficient experience in self-management, the lack of internal motivation. Most of all, students recommend to provide the tasks with detail instruction (oral or written) and to pay attention to careful planning the time that is necessary for full completion of the task. It is pointed that such complicated requirements can be satisfied only by complex use of information and communication technologies as well as the automated system of pedagogical diagnostics. Some requirements for management of students’ out-of-classroom independent work are formulated as a result of this discussion.В статті розглядається проблема самостійної роботи позакласних студентів в інформаційно-комунікаційному середовищі навчання на основі хмарних технологій. Обговорюються результати відповідного опитування серед студентів педагогічного університету. Студенти відповіли на питання про системність навчальної діяльності та пропозиції щодо її вдосконалення. Встановлено, що провідними проблемами є потреби в більш ретельному навчанні відповідно до особливостей виконання завдання, недостатнім досвідом самоврядування, відсутністю внутрішньої мотивації. Перш за все, студенти рекомендують надати завдання з докладними інструкціями (усними або письмовими) і звернути увагу на ретельне планування часу, необхідного для повного виконання завдання. Відзначено, що такі складні вимоги можуть бути задоволені тільки за рахунок комплексного використання інформаційних та комунікаційних технологій, а також автоматизованої системи педагогічної діагностики. В результаті цього обговорення сформульовані деякі вимоги до управління самостійною роботою студентів поза класом

    This paper is devoted to problems of a gradual transfer to renewable energy sources and decarbonization of power systems. It presents the analysis of the structure and the trend in global power consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and target values of decreased emissions by the largest greenhouse gas emitters. A trend in renewable energy sources in total global power consumption is analyzed. The authors study a potential for carbon capture and storage as an instrument of CO2 emission neutralization in power and industrial processes.
