Development of Modified CNN Algorithm for Agriculture Product: A Research Review

    Get PDF
Now a day, with the increase in world population, the demand for agricultural products is also increased. Modern days electronic technologies combined with machine vision techniques have become a good resource for precise weed and crop detection in the field. It is becoming prominent in precision agriculture and also supporting site-specific weed management. By reviewing as there are so many different kinds of weed detection algorithms that were already used in the weed removal process or in agriculture. By the comparative study of research papers on weed detection. In this paper, we have suggested advanced and improved algorithms which take care of most of the limitations of previous work. The main goal of this review is to study the different types of algorithms used to detect weeds present in crops for automated systems in agriculture. This paper used a method that is based on a convolutional neural network model, VGG16, to identify images of weeds. As the basic network, VGG16 has very good classification performance, and it is relatively easy to modify. Download the weed dataset. This image dataset has 15336 segments, being 3249 of soil, 7376 soybeans, 3520 grass, and 1191 broadleaf weeds. Our model fixes the first 16 layers of  VGG16 parameters for layer-by-layer automatic extraction of features, adding an average pooling layer, convolution layer, Dropout layer, fully connected layer, and softmax for classifiers. The results show that the final model performs well in the classification effect of 4 classes. The accuracy is 97.76 %. We will compare our result with the CNN model. It provides an accurate and reliable judgment basis for quantitative chemical pesticide spraying. The results of this study can provide an overview of the use of CNN-based techniques for weed detection

Development of an Advanced Technique for Historical Document Preservation

In this paper, technique used for historical document preservation is explored. In this paper a noise estimation technique is applied to know noise standard deviation. We first estimate or detect level of noise present in noisy images by selecting weak textured patches in image on the basis of gradient matrix and its statistical properties, then eliminate that noise through non local means(NLM) denoising technique that will use estimated noise level as filtering parameter for eliminating noise from the image. This technique is based on weighted average of the similar pixels in historical image. Non local means techniques removes noise from images without taking care of noise level ,it is mandatory to take care of noise level for best preserving Historical document images

Design and Implementation of Fuzzy Logic Based Image Fusion Technique

The quality of image holds importance for both humans and machines. To fulfill the requirement of good quality images, image enhancement is needed. Application of a single contrast enhancement technique often does not produce desirable result and may lead to over enhanced images. To overcome this problem image fusion is performed so that better results with desired enhancement can be achieved. In the present paper an amalgamation of image enhancement, fusion and sharpening have been carried out in the candidate algorithm. The algorithm makes use of fuzzy logic for weight calculation. The results are compared with DACE/LIF approach and it is observed that the proposed algorithm improves the result in terms of quality parameters like PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio), AMBE (Absolute Mean Brightness Error) and SSIM (Structural Similarity Index) by 0.5 dB, 3 and 0.1 respectively from the existing technique

Democracy in Diabetes Care: Acting Upon the Three A’s – Accessibility, Affordability and Awareness

Diabetes care is the right of every individual living with diabetes. In this communication, we describe the epidemiology of diabetes in India, draw parallels between democracy and diabetes, and call for the democratization of diabetes care. We highlight the three A’s – Accessibility, Affordability and Awareness—that are essential for democratic diabetes care and share best practices towards this end

Motivating Persons Living with Diabetes for Insulin/Injectable Therapy

Motivating patients to initiate or intensify insulin is a challenging aspect of diabetes practice. This paper reviews certain motivational strategies and methods used for insulin initiation/intensification. It places various domains of motivational interviewing in perspective, under a single umbrella, making it easier for practitioners to understand the art and science of insulin motivation

Diabetes in India presents unique challenges, which merit bespoke solutions. The early onset and rapid progression of diabetes, along with late presentation to the healthcare system, call for more proactive management strategies. At the same time, persons living with diabetes ask for convenient, uncomplicated treatment regimens, which offer comprehensive control with minimal dose frequency. The original research published in this issue highlights the relevance of fixed-dose combinations (FDCs) of sulfonylurea and metformin, as well as fixed-ratio combinations (FRCs) of rapid-acting and long-acting insulin analogs, in diabetes care. In this editorial, we highlight the similar preferences of oral and insulin medication, and explore the rationale behind this. We hope that this insight will encourage further discussion and research on ethnocentric pharmacotherapy in diabetology
