The new analysis of the KLOE data on the phi->eta pi0 gamma decay
In this paper we present the fit to the recent high-statistical KLOE data on
the phi -> eta pi^0 gamma decay. This decay mainly goes through the a_0 gamma
intermediate state. The obtained results differ from those of the previous
fits: data prefer a high a_0 mass and a considerably large a_0 coupling to the
K\bar K}.Comment: 11 pages, 2 figure
On nature of scalar a_0(980) and f_0(980)-mesons
It is presented a critical consideration of all unusual properties of the
scalar a_0(980) and f_0(980)-mesons in the four-quark, two-quark and molecular
models. The arguments are adduced that the four-quark model is more preferable.
It is discussed the complex of experiments that could finally resolve this
issue.Comment: 6 pages, LaTeX 2e, uses espcrc1.sty, Plenary Talk given at 8th

Meson model for f_0(980) production in peripheral pion-nucleon reactions
The Juelich model for pion-pion-scattering, based on an effective meson-meson
Lagrangian is applied to the analysis of the S-wave production amplitudes
derived from the BNL E852 experiment pi^- p -> pi^0 pi^0 n for a pion momentum
of 18.3 GeV. The unexpected strong dependence of the S-wave partial wave
amplitude on the momentum transfer between the proton and neutron in the
vicinity of the f_0(980) resonance is explained in our analysis as interference
effect between the correlated and uncorrelated pi^0 pi^0 pairs.Comment: 6 pages, 7 figures, formulas added, typos removed, new figure
Transverse Spin at PHENIX: Results and Prospects
The Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), as the world's first and only
polarized proton collider, offers a unique environment in which to study the
spin structure of the proton. In order to study the proton's transverse spin
structure, the PHENIX experiment at RHIC took data with transversely polarized
beams in 2001-02 and 2005, and it has plans for further running with transverse
polarization in 2006 and beyond. Results from early running as well as
prospective measurements for the future will be discussed.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures, presented at Transversity 2005, Como, Ital
Exotic state photoproduction
It is shown that the list of unusual mesons planned for a careful study in
photoproduction can be extended by the exotic states with which should be looked for in the decay
channels in the reactions and . The full classification of the states by their
quantum numbers is presented. A simple model for the spin structure of the , , and reaction amplitudes is formulated and the tentative estimates of the
corresponding cross sections at the incident photon energy
GeV are obtained: b, b, b, and b. The problem of the
signal extraction from the natural background due to the other production channels is discussed. In particular the estimates are
presented for the , , and reaction cross sections.
Our main conclusion is that the search for the exotic
states is quite feasible at JEFLAB facility. The expected yield of the events in a 30-day run at the 100% detection
efficiency approximates events.Comment: 19 pages, revtex, 1 figure in postscipt, some comments and references

f0(980) meson as a K bar K molecule in a phenomenological Lagrangian approach
We discuss a possible interpretation of the f0(980) meson as a hadronic
molecule - a bound state of K and bar K mesons. Using a phenomenological
Lagrangian approach we calculate the strong f0(980) to pi pi and
electromagnetic f0(980) to gamma gamma decays. The compositeness condition
provides a self-consistent method to determine the coupling constant between f0
and its constituents, K and bar K. Form factors governing the decays of the
f0(980) are calculated by evaluating the kaon loop integrals. The predicted
f0(980) to pi pi and f0(980) to gamma gamma decay widths are in good agreement
with available data and results of other theoretical approaches.Comment: 21 pages, 11 figures, revised version accepted for publication in

Energetics of the Einstein-Rosen spacetime
A study covering some aspects of the Einstein--Rosen metric is presented. The
electric and magnetic parts of the Weyl tensor are calculated. It is shown that
there are no purely magnetic E--R spacetimes, and also that a purely electric
E--R spacetime is necessarily static. The geodesics equations are found and
circular ones are analyzed in detail. The super--Poynting and the
``Lagrangian'' Poynting vectors are calculated and their expressions are found
for two specific examples. It is shown that for a pulse--type solution, both
expressions describe an inward radially directed flow of energy, far behind the
wave front. The physical significance of such an effect is discussed.Comment: 19 pages Latex.References added and updated. To appear in

N-body simulations of gravitational dynamics
We describe the astrophysical and numerical basis of N-body simulations, both
of collisional stellar systems (dense star clusters and galactic centres) and
collisionless stellar dynamics (galaxies and large-scale structure). We explain
and discuss the state-of-the-art algorithms used for these quite different
regimes, attempt to give a fair critique, and point out possible directions of
future improvement and development. We briefly touch upon the history of N-body
simulations and their most important results.Comment: invited review (28 pages), to appear in European Physics Journal Plu
Radiative decays of \phi-meson and nature of light scalar resonances
Based on gauge invariance, we show that the new threshold phenomenon is
discovered in the \phi radiative decays \phi\to\gamma a0\to\gamma\pi0\eta and
\phi\to\gamma f0\to\gamma\pi0\pi0.
This enables to conclude that production of the lightest scalar mesons
a0(980) and f0(980) in these decays is caused by the four-quark transitions,
resulting in strong restrictions on the large Nc expansions of the decay
amplitudes. The analysis shows that these constraints give new evidences in
favor of the four-quark nature of a0(980) and f0(980) mesons.Comment: 12 pages, 5 figures, revte
