2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: 35G35, 32A30, 30G35.In this paper is introduced the hyperbolic double-complex Laplace operator. The hyperbolic decomplexification of the hyperbolic doublecomplex Laplace operator and its characteristic set is found. The exponential eigenfunctions of the zero eigenvalue of the hyperbolic double-complex Laplace operator are found as well

MSC 2010: 30C10, 32A30, 30G35The algebra R(1; j; j2; j3), j4 = ¡1 of the fourth-R numbers, or in other words the algebra of the double-complex numbers C(1; j) and the corresponding functions, were studied in the papers of S. Dimiev and al. (see [1], [2], [3], [4]). The hyperbolic fourth-R numbers form other similar to C(1; j) algebra with zero divisors. In this note the square roots of hyperbolic fourth-R numbers and hyperbolic complex numbers are found. The quadratic equation with hyperbolic fourth-R coefficients and variables is solved. The Cauchy-Riemann system for holomorphicity of fourth-R functions is recalled. Holomorphic homogeneous polynomials of fourth-R variables are listed

Temperature dependent graphene suspension due to thermal Casimir interaction

Thermal effects contributing to the Casimir interaction between objects are usually small at room temperature and they are difficult to separate from quantum mechanical contributions at higher temperatures. We propose that the thermal Casimir force effect can be observed for a graphene flake suspended in a fluid between substrates at the room temperature regime. The properly chosen materials for the substrates and fluid induce a Casimir repulsion. The balance with the other forces, such as gravity and buoyancy, results in a stable temperature dependent equilibrium separation. The suspended graphene is a promising system due to its potential for observing thermal Casimir effects at room temperature.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures, in APL production 201

Kelangsungan Hidup Ikan Koi (Cyprinus Carpio Koi) Yang Terinfeksi KHV (Koi Herpesvirus) [the Survival of Koi Goldfish (Cyprinus Carpio Koi) Which Infected by KHV (Koi Herpesvirus) ]

The research aim to know the capability of survival life of the infected KHV koi fish that proved with PCR test. The research held from 2003 until 2008, with the methode took gill sample from the same fish every 4 months. Result of PCR showed positive KHV in each analysis during 4.5 years. According to the PCR test for KHV that conducted for 4.5 years showed that the result always positive in every test

O-linked oligosaccharides in yeast glycosyl phosphatidylinositol-anchored protein gp115 are clustered in a serine-rich region not essential for its function

Abstract The protein gp115 is an exocellular yeast glycoprotein modified by O- and N-glycosylation and attached to the plasma membrane through a glycosylphosphatidylinositol. The more remarkable structural feature in gp115 is the presence of a 36-amino acid serine-rich region. Similar sequences have been found in mammalian glycoproteins, such as the low density lipoprotein receptor, the decay-accelerating factor, and the mucins, where they are targets of multiple sites of O-glycosylation. The modification of these regions greatly influences their conformation and gives rise to "rodlike" structures. In this work, we have deleted or duplicated the Ser-rich region of gp115. The analysis of the size and glycosylation state of both mutant proteins indicates that about 52% of the total contribution of the O-glycosylation to the mass of the protein is concentrated in this region. The phenotype of ggp1 null mutant expressing the mutant proteins was also analyzed to understand if this region is important for gp115 function. The defects of slow growth rate and resistance to zymolyase of the ggp1 cells are completely complemented by both mutant proteins, suggesting that this region could be dispensable for gp115 function. A tentative model of gp115 structure is presented on the basis of the obtained data

    Get PDF
Purpose – The purpose of the article is to develop recommendations for overcoming threats and effective use of possibilities of development of small innovational enterprise in the process of its management under the conditions of global competition. Design/methodology/approach – The authors use the method of systemic and problem analysis, opposite tack, method of SWOT-analysis, and method of economic modeling. Findings – The authors determine the place and role of small innovational entrepreneurship in development of global markets and conduct SWOT-analysis of management of small innovational enterprise under the conditions of global competition. As a result of the research, the authors come to the conclusion that globalization of international markets is an objective process that takes place regardless of wish and realization of its importance and consequences by entrepreneurship. That’s why small innovational business would be under the threat of disappearance without adequate reaction to change of global markets. Originality/value – In order to restructure the process of management of small innovational enterprise for the conditions of global competition, this work offers proprietary recommendations for increase of effectiveness of management of small innovational enterprise under the conditions of global competition and develop the authors’ model of increase of effectiveness of management of small innovational enterprise under the conditions of global competition.peer-reviewe

Syphilitic Coronary Artery Ostial Stenosis Resulting in Acute Myocardial Infarction Treated by Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

    Get PDF
Cardiovascular abnormalities are well-known manifestations of tertiary syphilis infections which although not frequent, are still causes of morbidity and mortality. A less common manifestation of syphilitic aortitis is coronary artery ostial narrowing related to aortic wall thickening. We report a case of a 46-year-old male admitted due to acute anterior ST elevation myocardial infarction submitted to primary percutaneous coronary intervention successfully. Coronary angiography showed a suboccluded ostial lesion of left main coronary artery. VDRL was titrated to 1/512. The patient was discharged with treatment including benzathine penicillin. Previous case reports of acute myocardial infarction in association with syphilitic coronary artery ostial stenosis have been reported, but the fact that the patient was treated by percutaneous coronary intervention is unique in this case

Z2_2 topology and superconductivity from symmetry lowering of a 3D Dirac Metal Au2_2Pb

3D Dirac semi-metals (DSMs) are materials that have massless Dirac electrons and exhibit exotic physical properties It has been suggested that structurally distorting a DSM can create a Topological Insulator (TI), but this has not yet been experimentally verified. Furthermore, quasiparticle excitations known as Majorana Fermions have been theoretically proposed to exist in materials that exhibit superconductivity and topological surface states. Here we show that the cubic Laves phase Au2_2Pb has a bulk Dirac cone above 100 K that gaps out upon cooling at a structural phase transition to create a topologically non trivial phase that superconducts below 1.2 K. The nontrivial Z2_2 = -1 invariant in the low temperature phase indicates that Au2_2Pb in its superconducting state must have topological surface states. These characteristics make Au2_2Pb a unique platform for studying the transition between bulk Dirac electrons and topological surface states as well as studying the interaction of superconductivity with topological surface states

Self-force of a point charge in the space-time of a massive wormhole

We consider the self-potential and the self-force for an electrically charged particle at rest in the massive wormhole space-time. We develop general approach for the renormalization of electromagnetic field of such particle in the static space-times and apply it to the space-time of the wormhole with parameter of the mass, mm. The self-force is found in manifest form; it is an attractive force. We discus the peculiarities due to massive parameter of the wormhole.Comment: 10 pages, 1 figure text correcte
