Background: Urinary tract infections (UTI) are a common and important clinical problem in childhood. Upper urinary tract infections (i.e., acute pyelonephritis) may lead to renal scarring, hypertension, and end-stage renal disease. Despite the presence of simple and reliable methods of preliminary screening of children's urine, urinary tract infection continues to be under diagnosed. Objectives: The aim of this study was to establish prevalence rates of significant bacteriuria in asymptomatic school children by simple urine tests in comparison to standard urine culture techniques in Giza, Egypt.Patients and methods: A total of 1000 apparently healthy school going children (6-12) years, 552 boys (55.2%) and 448 girls (44.8%), were enrolled in this cross-sectional prevalence survey. Results: Overall prevalence of significant bacteriuria was 6%. Higher prevalence occurred in girls (11.4%) than boys (1.6%). Escherichia coli was isolated in 35(58%) cases (3 boys and 32 girls), Staph. aureus in 13 (22%) cases (3 boys and 10 girls), Enterobacter in 6 girls (10%), Kelbsiella pneumoniae in 3 boys (5%) and Proteus vulgaris in 3 girls (5%)Conclusion: Asymptomatic bacteriurea could be detected by urine screening program at school age. Overall prevalence of significant bacteriuria was 6%, with predominance in girls than boys. Keywords: Bacteriuria, asymptomatic, prevalence, children, school, male, female, simple urine test

Deep learning based Arabic short answer grading in serious games

Automatic short answer grading (ASAG) has become part of natural language processing problems. Modern ASAG systems start with natural language preprocessing and end with grading. Researchers started experimenting with machine learning in the preprocessing stage and deep learning techniques in automatic grading for English. However, little research is available on automatic grading for Arabic. Datasets are important to ASAG, and limited datasets are available in Arabic. In this research, we have collected a set of questions, answers, and associated grades in Arabic. We have made this dataset publicly available. We have extended to Arabic the solutions used for English ASAG. We have tested how automatic grading works on answers in Arabic provided by schoolchildren in 6th grade in the context of serious games. We found out those schoolchildren providing answers that are 5.6 words long on average. On such answers, deep learning-based grading has achieved high accuracy even with limited training data. We have tested three different recurrent neural networks for grading. With a transformer, we have achieved an accuracy of 95.67%. ASAG for school children will help detect children with learning problems early. When detected early, teachers can solve learning problems easily. This is the main purpose of this research

Key words: Schwannome, neurinome, péni

5G uplink interference simulations, analysis and solutions: The case of pico cells dense deployment

The launch of the new mobile network technology has paved the way for advanced and more productive industrial applications based on high-speed and low latency services offered by 5G. One of the key success points of the 5G network is the available diversity of cell deployment modes and the flexibility in radio resources allocation based on user’s needs. The concept of Pico cells will become the future of 5G as they increase the capacity and improve the network coverage at a low deployment cost. In addition, the short-range wireless transmission of this type of cells uses little energy and will allow dense applications for the internet of things. In this contribution, we present the advantages of using Pico cells and the characteristics of this type of cells in 5G networks. Then, we will do a simulation study of the interferences impact in uplink transmission in the case of PICO cells densified deployment. Finally, we will propose a solution for interference avoidance between pico cells that also allows flexible management of bands allocated to the users in uplink according to user’s density and bandwidth demand

Preparation, spectroscopic and thermal studies on the zinc(II), cadmium(II), tin(II), lead(II) and antimony(III) creatinine complexes

ABSTRACT. Zinc(II), cadmium(II), tin(II), lead(II) and antimony(III) complexes of creatinine with the composition of [M(creat)2Xn].xH2O, (X = Cl or NO3; n = 2-6) were prepared. The complexes were characterized by analytical and spectral methods. The analysis of FT-IR and Raman spectra helps to understand the coordination properties of the creatinine ligand and to determine the probable structure of the complexes. The shift in the resonances of cyclic NH proton in the 1H NMR when compared to the ligand indicated that cyclic nitrogen coordinates. Conductivity measurements in DMSO suggested that the complexes are non-electrolytes. Thermal decomposition behavior of the complexes was also discussed.   KEY WORDS: Creatinine, TGA/DTA, Metal complexation, Raman spectroscopy   Bull. Chem. Soc. oai:ojs.africanscientificjournal.com:article/1The introduction of new information technologies in the hospital sector is validated as a tool forimproving the quality of care. In Morocco, the awareness of adoption of these new technologies isgrowing significantly, but these innovations are not always accepted by end-users who are healthprofessionals, this mitigates their success and limits their impacts. In this context, we seek, on thebasis of a literature review, to propose a theoretical model of the acceptance of new informationtechnologies in the hospital sector in Morocco – in the case of CHU-. To this end, we adopt a modelbased approach to the unified theory of technology acceptance and use (UTAUT) to build ourresearch model.
