Β© 2017 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. This work is devoted to studying the possibility of producing bitumen for road construction by using vacuum residue > 420Β°C of heavy oil of the Ashal'chinskoe field in and natural asphaltite Spiridonovskoe field from Permian deposits in Tatarstan. The effect of natural asphaltite as a solid disperse phase element on the structural and group composition of the residual heavy oil product and its malacometrical qualities (penetration, extensibility, softening point, resistance to aging and adhesion) are revealed. Samples, compounded bitumen production, were carried out by introducing the required amount of the shredded asphaltite to deasphaltizat vacuum residue of heavy oil and heating their mixture to 220Β°Π‘ with vigorous stirring. Changes in the composition and physical and chemical properties of deasphalting the residual heavy oil product, associated with the amount of injected asphaltite, showed the possibility of production of modified bitumen with better adhesion properties that correspond to road bitumen

Power spectrum features of the near-Earth atmospheric electric field in Kamchatka

    Get PDF
Power spectrum of the diurnal variations of the quasi-electrostatic field Ez in the near-Earth atmosphere have been presented for the first time. The Ez power spectrum variations in the period of fine weather have been shown to exhibit two bands of the periods of natural atmospheric oscillations with T = 1-5 and 6-24 h. These oscillations are the modes of the internal gravity and tidal waves in the lower atmosphere. On the days under atmospheric precipitation, the spectral power of Ez increases by an order of magnitude. During the pre-earthquake period, when the diurnal Ez variation had an anomaly, the intensity of harmonics with T = 1.8, 2.2, and 3.8 h increased by an order of magnitude or more in comparison with the Ez spectra in fine weather. Two additional spectral bands with T = 0.6 and 1 h have appeared simultaneously

Past distribution of Tilia-feeding Phyllonorycter micromoth (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) in the Russian Far East based on survey of historical herbarium

Distribution data of Tilia-feeding Phyllonorycter in the Russian Far East have been retrieved from a century-old Tilia herbarium stored in Vladivostok. Overall, 280 typical mines of Phyllonorycter, some with larvae and pupae, were found on 61 out of 799 herbarized specimens of Tilia spp. collected in Khabarovskii krai and Primorskii krai. For the first time, the presence of Tilia-feeding Phyllonorycter has been documented in Amurskaya oblast and Jewish Autonomous oblast. High densities of the leafminer have been recorded on Tilia amurensis sampled in Khabarovskii krai and Primorskii krai between 1937 and 2005 suggesting a population dynamics with recurrent outbreaks. Our results confirm the importance of historical herbarium collections in studying trophic interactions and invasion ecology of folivore organisms

The research of uranium monoxide-oxide dissolution process in nitric acid

    Get PDF
The kinetics of concentrates of uranium monoxide-oxide dissolution process by nitric acid solutions of 5...9 mole/l in the range of 11...90 Β°C has been studied. It is stated that initial nitric acid concentration increasing results in some uranium dissolution degree increasing only at the first process stage. Temperature increasing significantly raises uranium dissolution degree at the first stage as well. Uranium dissolution degree increases for all studied temperatures with increasing of the process period. The main feature of the studied process is that while dissolving uranium monoxide-oxide the behavior of iron, molybdenum, silicon additives is adequate to that of uranium. The equation of the reducing sphere describes the uranium leaching process from its nitric acid concentrate

Effect of additions of zinc stearate on the properties of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets

Zinc stearate additions have been used to increase the remanence of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets produced by the powder metallurgy without powder pressing. Zinc stearate acts as an internal lubricant, i.e., it decreases the friction forces between the particles and favors an increase in the degree of texture of the powders, which is induced by the magnetic field. It is shown that the density and the magnetic hysteresis characteristics of sintered magnets produced using additions of 0.15 wt % zinc stearate exceeds the corresponding values obtained for magnets produced without this addition at a filling density of powders in containers of more than 2.9 and 3.0 g/cm3 in dry and wet states, respectively. Using additions of zinc stearate in the amount of 0.15% with respect to the weight of the powder, magnets with a density of 7.55 g/cm3, B r = 14.02 kG, H c = 7.91 kOe, and (BH)max = 46.1 MG Oe have been produced. A CLUSTERING APPROACH IN THE UrQMD TRANSPORT MODEL FOR NUCLEAR COLLISIONS AT RELATIVISTIC ENERGIES

    Get PDF
A method for cluster recognition from nucleon distributions generated in calculations of relativistic collisions of light particles (protons, Ξ±-particles) with nuclei in the framework of the UrQMD model is proposed. The excitation energy of the clusters which is necessary to take into account for the de-excitation of the calculated fragments was estimated from empirical considerations. The approach was applied to calculate mass distributions of fragments in p + Fe collisions for different proton energies and showed a good correspondence to experimental results. The software implementation of the clustering method and a visualization of cluster formation substantially facilitate applications of the proposed method

Projectile fragmentation at Fermi energies with transport simulations

    Get PDF
Projectile fragmentation at Fermi energies is an important method to produce radioactive beams for the study of isospin asymmetric nuclear matter. Fragmentation is usually parametrized successfully by empirical phase space models. In this contribution we apply a microscopical method, semiclassical transport theory, to study in detail the reaction mechanism of the fragmentation process. We apply it to experimental data of 18O on 181Ta at E/A = 35 MeV measured in Dubna. We calculate consistently the excitation energy of the primary fragments and take into account their decay by a statistical model. It is found that the dissipative part of the fragment spectra is well described by transport theory. However, there are in addition important direct and collective contributions
