Dualism between Physical Frames and Time in Quantum Gravity
In this work we present a discussion of the existing links between the
procedures of endowing the quantum gravity with a real time and of including in
the theory a physical reference frame. More precisely, as first step, we
develop the canonical quantum dynamics, starting from the Einstein equations in
presence of a dust fluid and arrive to a Schroedinger evolution. Then, by
fixing the lapse function in the path integral of gravity, we get a
Schroedinger quantum dynamics, of which eigenvalues problem provides the
appearance of a dust fluid in the classical limit. The main issue of our
analysis is to claim that a theory, in which the time displacement invariance,
on a quantum level, is broken, is indistinguishable from a theory for which
this symmetry holds, but a real reference fluid is included.Comment: 9 pages, submitted to Mod. Phys. Lett. A, major replacements in

Legal medical consideration of alzheimerâs disease patientsâ dysgraphia and cognitive dysfunction: a 6 month follow up
Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the ability of Alzheimerâs disease
(AD) patients to express intentions and desires, and their decision-making capacity. This study
examines the findings from a 6-month follow-up of our previous results in which 30 patients
participated.
Materials and methods: The patientâs cognition was examined by conducting the tests of 14
questions and letter-writing ability over a period of 19 days, and it was repeated after 6 months.
The difference between these two cognitive measures (PQ1 beforeâPQ2 before), tested previously
and later the writing test, was designated DÎ before. The test was repeated after 6 months,
and PQ1 afterâPQ2 after was designated DÎ after.
Results: Several markedly strong relationships between dysgraphia and other measures of
cognitive performance in AD patients were observed. The most aged patients (over 86 years),
despite less frequency, maintain the cognitive capacity manifested in the graphic expressions.
A document, written by an AD patient presents an honest expression of the patientâs intention
if that document is legible, clear, and comprehensive.
Conclusion: The identification of impairment/deficits in writing and cognition during different
phases of AD may facilitate the understanding of disease progression and identify the occasions
during which the patient may be considered sufficiently lucid to make decisions.

Impact of COVID-19 on maxillofacial surgery practice: a worldwide survey
The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is rapidly changing our habits. To date, April 12, 2020, the virus has reached 209 nations, affecting 1.8 million people and causing more than 110,000 deaths. Maxillofacial surgery represents an example of a specialty that has had to adapt to this outbreak, because of the subspecialties of oncology and traumatology. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of this outbreak on the specialty of maxillofacial surgery and how the current situation is being managed on a worldwide scale. To achieve this goal, the authors developed an anonymous questionnaire which was posted on the internet and also sent to maxillofacial surgeons around the globe using membership lists from various subspecialty associations. The questionnaire asked for information about the COVID-19 situation in the respondent's country and in their workplace, and what changes they were facing in their practices in light of the outbreak. The objective was not only to collect and analyse data, but also to highlight what the specialty is facing and how it is handling the situation, in the hope that this information will be useful as a reference in the future, not only for this specialty, but also for others, should COVID-19 or a similar global threat arise again
Dark Matter Prediction from Canonical Quantum Gravity with Frame Fixing
We show how, in canonical quantum cosmology, the frame fixing induces a new
energy density contribution having features compatible with the (actual) cold
dark matter component of the Universe. First we quantize the closed
Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) model in a sinchronous reference and determine
the spectrum of the super-Hamiltonian in the presence of ultra-relativistic
matter and a perfect gas contribution. Then we include in this model small
inhomogeneous (spherical) perturbations in the spirit of the Lemaitre-Tolman
cosmology. The main issue of our analysis consists in outlining that, in the
classical limit, the non-zero eigenvalue of the super-Hamiltonian can make
account for the present value of the dark matter critical parameter.
Furthermore we obtain a direct correlation between the inhomogeneities in our
dark matter candidate and those one appearing in the ultra-relativistic matter.Comment: 5 pages, to appear on Modern Physics Letters
Explicit finite element implementation of a shape memory alloy constitutive model and associated analyses
Shape memory alloys (SMA) represent an important class of smart metallic materials employed in various innovative applications thanks to their unique thermomechanical behavior. Since the 1980s, several SMA constitutive models have been proposed and implemented into both commercial and academic ïŹnite element analysis software tools. Such models have demonstrated their reliability and robustness in the design and optimization of a wide variety of SMA-based components. However, most models are implemented using implicit integration schemes, thus limiting their applicability in highly nonlinear analyses. The objective of this work is to present a novel explicit integration scheme for the numerical implementation of the three-dimensional Souza-Auricchio model, a phenomenological model able to reproduce the primary SMA responses (i.e., pseudoelasticity and shape memory eïŹect). The model constitutive equations are formulated by adopting the continuum thermodynamic theory with internal variables, following a plasticity-like approach. An elastic predictor-inelastic corrector scheme is here used to solve the time-discrete non-linear constitutive equations in the explicit framework. The proposed algorithm is investigated through several benchmark boundary-value problems of increasing complexity, considering both pseudoelastic and shape memory response in quasi-static conditions; a comparison with an implicit integration scheme is also performed. Such numerical tests demonstrate the ability of the algorithm to reproduce key material behaviors with eïŹectiveness and robustness. Particularly, the analysis of SMA cables demonstrates the eïŹectiveness of the explicit algorithm to solve complex problems involving widespread nonlinear contact, which prevent the convergence of the implicit scheme. Details such as mass-scaling options are also discussed

Abstract: A shortcut review was carried out to see if the abbreviated mental test score was better than other cognitive screening tools to diagnose delirium in the ED. Fourteen papers were identified reporting on 10 separate ED studies. Only one small study used the abbreviated mental test score and did not compare the diagnostic performance to any other test. There is very little published research on the use of the abbreviated mental test score in the ED setting
A solution of the strong CP problem via the Peccei-Quinn mechanism through the Nieh-Yan modified gravity and cosmological implications
By identifying the recently introduced Barbero-Immirzi field with the QCD axion, the strong CP problem can be solved through the Peccei-Quinn mechanism. A specific energy scale for the Peccei-Quinn symmetry breaking is naturally predicted by this model. This provides a complete dynamical setting to evaluate the contribution of such an axion to the cold dark matter content of the Universe. Furthermore, a tight upper bound on the tensor-to-scalar ratio production of primordial gravitational waves can be fixed, representing a strong experimental test for this model
