Contemporary Cartography at the International Map Exhibition Paris, 3-8 July 2011

The International Map Exhibition was organized at the 25th International Cartographic Conference (ICA), which was held from July 3 to July 8, 2011 in Paris in France. Countries members of the International Cartographic Association were invited to participate. Croatian cartography was successfully introduced at the previous conferences held in Cologne, Barcelona, Stockholm, Ottawa, Beijing, Durban, A Coruña, Moscow and Chile. Thus were photomap of Velika Gorica (Ottawa 1999) and photomap of Upper Town of Zagreb (Beijing 2001) awarded for excellence in the category of maps of towns and in category of maps for recreation and orientation, respectively

The 13th Annual Assembly of the Croatian Cartographic Society (CCS) was held in the hall of the Miroslav Krleža Lexicographic Institute, Prilaz Gj. Deželića 2 in Zagreb on March 20, 2015. The Assembly consisted of three parts and was opened and led by Prof. Dr. Miljenko Lapaine, president of CCS. In the first, unofficial part of the Assembly, there was a promotion of the monograph by Mirko Alilović titled Herzegovina on Maps and Plans. The book was presented by Prof. Dr. Božo Skoko, Prof. Dr. Miljenko Lapaine, Željko Obradović, graduate engineer of geodesy and the author.Trinaesta godišnja skupština Hrvatskoga kartografskog društva (HKD) održana je 20. ožujka 2015. u dvorani Leksikografskog zavoda Miroslav Krleža, prilaz Gj. Deželića 2, u Zagrebu. Skupštinu, koja se sastojala od tri dijela, otvorio je i vodio prof. dr. sc. Miljenko Lapaine, predsjednik HKD-a. First National Scientific Congress on Geographical Names, Zadar and Krapanj, October 23 and 24, 2009

For the first time in Croatia, the University of Zadar and the Croatian Geographic Society organized a national conference on geographical names. The conference had a series of scientific and professional lectures at the ceremonial hall of the University of Zadar on October 23, and it continued on October 24 with a round trip to the Island of Krapanj in the Šibenik Archipelago

The book Digital Terrain Modelling by Ante Šiljeg, Mirko Barada and Ivan Marić was created as synthesis of Dr. Ante Šiljeg’s PhD thesis titled DEM in the Analysis of Geomorphometric Parameters: Example of Vransko Lake Nature Park written at the Faculty of Science, Department of Geography, University of Zagreb, and the diploma thesis by Mirko Barada, Master of Geography titled The Impact of User-defined Parameters on the Accuracy of the EDM published at the Department of Geography, University of Zadar. The book was published by ALFA d.d., Zagreb and University of Zadar, the editor is Marko Labus. The book published in 2018 contains 264 pages with 181 pictures and 53 tables. The book is written in Croatian, B5 format, it is hardbound and is marked by ISBN 978-953-297-857-5. It was reviewed by Prof. Dr. Mirko Borisov, Prof. Dr. Mladen Jurišić, Assist. Arheološka karta otoka Paga

The Novalja branch of Matrix Croatica (Matica hrvatska) and the city of Novalja published the monography Archaeological Map of the Island of Pag by MSc. Ivo Oštarić and Dr. Anamarija Kurilić in 2003. The monography was edited by Aleksij Škunca and reviewed by Prof. Dr. Zdenko Brusić and Prof. Dr. Slobodan Čače.
