Gestado en los barrios negros de Kings- ton y Nueva York, el Remix es probable- mente uno de los fenómenos culturales más relevantes de las últimas décadas, presente en una parte considerable de las prácticas artísticas contemporáneas. Conectado histórica y socialmente con escenarios de tradición afroamericana, se trata de una estrategia creativa que permite a  muchos  artistas  marginales y emergentes desafiar los cercos cul- turales que se establecen desde las instituciones tradicionales de la cultura. Escribir el ruido: por una estética rock de una literatura colombiana destropicalizada

Más que un género musical o una industria cultural, el rock es también una estética, una práctica social significativa que permite a los seres humanos definir aquello que consideran bello o verdadero. Desde su nacimiento a mediados de los cincuenta, el rock en tanto estética ha ido expandiéndose por el mundo, transformándose y trazando diálogos con otras músicas y otras prácticas artísticas como la literatura. Partiendo de esa idea general, este trabajo se propone indagar sobre la presencia de una estética rock en el campo literario colombiano y cómo ha sido decisiva para el surgimiento de alternativas de creación que hagan frente al predominio de lo tropical como referente artístico dominante. Analizando una serie de novelas, poemas y manifiestos escritos desde los años cincuenta hasta los primeros años del siglo XXI, este recorrido literario, musical e histórico nos permite trazar un camino para abordar fenómenos complejos como la violencia urbana, la formación de identidades juveniles, la penetración de la cultura pop, los discursos de identidad nacional e incluso la transformación social y física de las ciudades colombianas.DoctoradoDoctor en Ciencias Sociale

Effect of remote ischaemic conditioning on clinical outcomes in patients with acute myocardial infarction (CONDI-2/ERIC-PPCI): a single-blind randomised controlled trial.

BACKGROUND: Remote ischaemic conditioning with transient ischaemia and reperfusion applied to the arm has been shown to reduce myocardial infarct size in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI). We investigated whether remote ischaemic conditioning could reduce the incidence of cardiac death and hospitalisation for heart failure at 12 months. METHODS: We did an international investigator-initiated, prospective, single-blind, randomised controlled trial (CONDI-2/ERIC-PPCI) at 33 centres across the UK, Denmark, Spain, and Serbia. Patients (age >18 years) with suspected STEMI and who were eligible for PPCI were randomly allocated (1:1, stratified by centre with a permuted block method) to receive standard treatment (including a sham simulated remote ischaemic conditioning intervention at UK sites only) or remote ischaemic conditioning treatment (intermittent ischaemia and reperfusion applied to the arm through four cycles of 5-min inflation and 5-min deflation of an automated cuff device) before PPCI. Investigators responsible for data collection and outcome assessment were masked to treatment allocation. The primary combined endpoint was cardiac death or hospitalisation for heart failure at 12 months in the intention-to-treat population. This trial is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT02342522) and is completed. FINDINGS: Between Nov 6, 2013, and March 31, 2018, 5401 patients were randomly allocated to either the control group (n=2701) or the remote ischaemic conditioning group (n=2700). After exclusion of patients upon hospital arrival or loss to follow-up, 2569 patients in the control group and 2546 in the intervention group were included in the intention-to-treat analysis. At 12 months post-PPCI, the Kaplan-Meier-estimated frequencies of cardiac death or hospitalisation for heart failure (the primary endpoint) were 220 (8·6%) patients in the control group and 239 (9·4%) in the remote ischaemic conditioning group (hazard ratio 1·10 [95% CI 0·91-1·32], p=0·32 for intervention versus control). No important unexpected adverse events or side effects of remote ischaemic conditioning were observed. INTERPRETATION: Remote ischaemic conditioning does not improve clinical outcomes (cardiac death or hospitalisation for heart failure) at 12 months in patients with STEMI undergoing PPCI. Este trabajo explora el concepto de Remix en las prácticas artísticas contemporáneas. A pesar de ser un concepto relacionado habitualmente con la música popular, el Remix como base de la creación artística ha tenido impacto en el cine y en la literatura ha planteado un desafío a ciertas concepciones sobre el autor y la originalidad, pues implica una forma de creación marginal que aprovecha el desarrollo de la tecnología para dar mayor autonomía. Estas transformaciones se hacen evidentes con especial fuerza en Brasil, un país que desde hace varias décadas viene defendiendo la libre apropiación y la remezcla como estrategias creativas.This work explores the concept of Remix in contemporary art practices. Despite being a concept usually associated with popular music, Remix as the basis of artistic creation has had an impact in cinema and literature. A change that has posed a challenge to certain conceptions about the author and originality, especially because Remix implies a form of marginal creation based on technology, given autonomy to the people. These changes are evident particularly in Brazil, a country that has been defended the free appropriation and remixing as creative strategies
