    Representações sociais de enfermeiros sobre a religiosidade ao cuidar de pacientes em processo de morte

    Estudo qualitativo, ancorado na Teoria das Representações Sociais a partir do pensamento de Jodelet, realizado em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva e Oncologia de um hospital universitário. Objetivou-se compreender as representações sociais dos enfermeiros acerca da religiosidade ao cuidar de pacientes em processo de morte. Os dados foram coletados de maio a agosto de 2010, utilizando a técnica de Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin. As representações da religiosidade inseridas na prática do cuidar de pacientes em processo de morte valorizam as crenças dos profissionais sobre a morte, seu significado permitindo elaborar mecanismos de enfrentamento. Considera-se que a tomada de consciência se dará através da compreensão da realidade e da inserção da temática na discussão da qualidade da saúde e da capacitação dos profissionais

    This clinical guideline supported by the Brazilian Sleep Association comprises a brief history of the development of Brazilian sleep physiotherapy, outlines the role of the physiotherapist as part of a sleep health team, and describes the clinical guidelines in respect of the management of some sleep disorders by the physiotherapist (including sleep breathing disorders, i.e., obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, upper airway resistance syndrome, hypoventilation syndromes and overlap syndrome, and pediatric sleep breathing disorders; sleep bruxism; circadian rhythms disturbances; insomnia; and Willis-Ekbom disease/periodic limb movement disorder. This clinical practice guideline reflects the state of the art at the time of publication and will be reviewed and updated as new information becomes available

    Sustainability Agenda for the Pantanal Wetland: Perspectives on a Collaborative Interface for Science, Policy, and Decision-Making

    International audienceBuilding bridges between environmental and political agendas is essential nowadays in face of the increasing human pressure on natural environments, including wetlands. Wetlands provide critical ecosystem services for humanity and can generate a considerable direct or indirect income to the local communities. To meet many of the sustainable development goals, we need to move our trajectory from the current environmental destructive development to a wiser wetland use. The current article contain a proposed agenda for the Pantanal aiming the improvement of public policy for conservation in the Pantanal, one of the largest, most diverse, and continuous inland wetland in the world. We suggest and discuss a list of 11 essential interfaces between science, policy, and development in region linked to the proposed agenda. We believe that a functional science network can booster the collaborative capability to generate creative ideas and solutions to address the big challenges faced by the Pantanal wetland
