WATER DISPENSER: A UNIQUE INNOVATIVE DESIGN THAT MATTERS
Any individual is basically moved to do a particular task when in need or when challenged by the environment (Amabile, 2013). Cebu Technological University had been experiencing scarcity of instructional equipment for the last decade due to budget constraint. To enhance its instruction for the students in refrigeration and air conditioning majors both for industrial technology and mechanical engineering, the study was conducted making use of stock scrap water dispenser. Innovative design, construction and function were validated and results revealed that the design of water dispenser was Highly Acceptable implying that the design meets the required competency (Friedman, 2003). It increases the students’ performances during pre-test (moderately satisfactory and effective) to very satisfactory and highly effective in the post test after having a practical application on the use of the innovative water dispenser. Thus, an innovative design is recommended to be utilized and duplicated for similar use

REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING (RAC) TECHNOLOGY: UNRAVELLING ITS STATUS AT WORK
Being the frontline state university in Central Visayas, Cebu Technological University (CTU) adheres to the 16 theories of Tech-voc training to make the school a replica of the industry. This study determined the status of material resource in refrigeration and air conditioning technology at CTU systems. There were fifty-five (55) respondents randomly selected from different campuses of the university to elicit responses on availability, adequacy and usability of such resources. The material resources of the refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) technology of CTU are insufficient. Further, it can be inferred that insufficiency is paralleled with the need to upgrade the non-serviceable resources due to obsolescence, propel to produce qualified 21st century technology graduates, who are technologically savvy and globally competitive. And it is strongly recommended that the top management may consider enough budget allocation, to buy new RAC technology sets of equipment, for instructional improvement to boost quality technical and vocational education

Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Technology Course: Sustainable Growth of Professional Competency
This study was conducted to explore a practical discussion on helping the students' professional competency. More specifically, this study conducted two studies developing a competency analysis profile on refrigeration and air conditioning technology, and examining the essential core competencies for training undergraduate students in Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology specializing Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology at Cebu Technological University. The qualitative and quantitative data were collected through observations, interviews, document analysis, and developing a curriculum job analysis process from six (6) training instructors from Cebu Technological University, two (2) training instructors from Technical Education Skills and Development Authority and three (3) service technicians from wellknownRefrigeration and Air Conditioning Service Centers in Metro Cebu. Moreover, the importance of core competencies as rated by respondents and the mean rating were calculated for each competency. The quality of the results had to be applied for a systematic curriculum and instructional development to effective implementation guidelines. Thus, enhance the competencies in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technolog
Managing cooling comfort at homes and offices
People today experience coolness through the use technology (air conditioners) that produces cooling comfort at homes, at offices and even in cars and buses. More importantly, a simple homeowner needs to select an air conditioner that matches the size of a room to install it in, in order to make full use of its capacity or choose to pay more without following the intention of learning the basics of care and maintenance of the unit. The study is then conducted to assess setting up the cooling capacity needed for a particular room size, where to place the unit and what must be done in order to maintain the unit in good operating condition. The study gathers such idea from the office personnel, homeowners (includes lodgers, bed spacers, and transients) taken purposively at random (non-probability sampling procedure using quota). Customarily, people experiencing cooling comfort has the inner motive to work productively and efficiently. The study finds that for most homeowners learned the cooling capacity of a space through a friend and placing it on window line upper part is the common sight for most window type package air conditioners with at most five (5) occupants. The office personnel, on the other hand, stated that the units were provided by the owner of the building when moving in seeing it mounted on floors, walls or ceiling. The prevailing conditions on people’s awareness on the practices are limited to what was usually heard from the store attendant upon buying the air conditioners. Information contained on the sheet provided upon receipt of the unit were left unscanned and unattended to. These practices form the basis for recommendations leading to the attainment of experiencing cooling comfort at lower cost
Stimulative Work Valuation Among Real Estate Practitioners in Asia
Real estate or property production has been recognized as one of Asia's key industries. Based on this significance, the authors assessed the work centrality and working values of real estate practitioners in established Asian countries. Based on the findings, in terms of work centrality, Japan was rated high on work centrality as very important in six life aspects among the five countries, followed by Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Findings on work values were all significant among the five countries, headed by Japan, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines. There is a substantial difference in the perception of work centrality among respondents in five countries, as revealed by Indonesia and Myanmar and Myanmar and Japan. Some countries differ in work values as manifested by Malaysia and Japan, highly significant, like Myanmar and Japan, and the Philippines. Enablers for success in the real estate profession include enterprising and conventional interests and various work values listed by experts in the field. Based on the study's findings, it can be seen that work centrality and work values among the five Asian countries differ from each other. Capability Building Index is now recommended for adoption by the real estate practitioners
