The themes of Quality and Satisfaction are increasingly debated within organizations, as users become more demanding and seek services that meet. More recently, this trend has also reached the third sector, including the IPSS, who care about the welfare of their clients so need to innovate and ensure your satisfaction. Thus, this research aims to analyze the perception that users of the Community Center Gafanha do Carmo have the quality of services provided to them, as well as the most important dimensions. The empirical work was based on quantitative methodology, a questionnaire applied SERVPERF, 24 of the 43 present users of the Center. The main results show a clear user satisfaction in relation to the institution and staff, thus emphasizing the quality of services provided and explicitly denying the possibility of moving to another institution. With this work we can see the extreme importance that the certification process has the quality to organizations and its users, as well as to society, which thus gains institutions more effective and with better quality

Plasticity of stingless bee Melipona fuliginosa Lepeletier to obtain food resources in Amazonia

The stingless bee Melipona fuliginosa Lepeletier is described as being aggressive robber, but there is little information about its raids. Here, we describe two different raids of M. fuliginosa on other Melipona species: Melipona paraensis Ducke and Melipona fasciculata Smith. The robbing behavior was observed in the Volta Grande do Xingu region (Pará) and Carajás National Forest (Pará), and the attacks by M. fuliginosa occurred at the end of the dry season, shortly before the start of the rainy season, a time of flower scarcity. The raid on M. paraensis hive lasted five days and involved no deaths of worker bees of both species; the robbers collected honey and wax. During the pillaging, M. fuliginosa workers dedicated themselves exclusively to this task; their flight activity peaked between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. but lasted until 6:00 p.m, which is atypical for the species. The raid on M. fasciculata differed from the other event because it led to the extermination of all forager workers of fi ve colonies, however, the brood combs as well as the callow workers were preserved; the robbers collected honey and wax. M. fuliginosa attack defensive and non-defensive colonies, the events can cause severe damage and may lead to death of the victim colony in natural conditions. Flight activity varies from foraging on fl owers during dawn to all day long robbing, showing considerable plasticity to obtain food resources. Robbing behavior could be associated to fl ower scarcity and artificial feeding

Aggressive Neuroblastoma in a Pediatric Patient with Severe Hemophilia A

Despite the extensive information regarding hemophilia's hemorrhagic complications, the literature on cancer in hemophilia is scarce, especially in pediatric patients. Many uncertainties remain concerning diagnosis and workup. We report a rare case of two severe diseases (neuroblastoma and hemophilia A (HA)) concomitantly present in the same pediatric patient. We highlight that the diagnosis of severe HA did not have a negative impact on the patient's oncologic course. This case also illustrates the significance of the cooperation among different specialties and hospitals when caring for the same patient.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

StarHorse: A Bayesian tool for determining stellar masses, ages, distances, and extinctions for field stars

Understanding the formation and evolution of our Galaxy requires accurate distances, ages and chemistry for large populations of field stars. Here we present several updates to our spectro-photometric distance code, that can now also be used to estimate ages, masses, and extinctions for individual stars. Given a set of measured spectro-photometric parameters, we calculate the posterior probability distribution over a given grid of stellar evolutionary models, using flexible Galactic stellar-population priors. The code (called {\tt StarHorse}) can acommodate different observational datasets, prior options, partially missing data, and the inclusion of parallax information into the estimated probabilities. We validate the code using a variety of simulated stars as well as real stars with parameters determined from asteroseismology, eclipsing binaries, and isochrone fits to star clusters. Our main goal in this validation process is to test the applicability of the code to field stars with known {\it Gaia}-like parallaxes. The typical internal precision (obtained from realistic simulations of an APOGEE+Gaia-like sample) are 8%\simeq 8\% in distance, 20%\simeq 20\% in age,6 \simeq 6\ % in mass, and 0.04\simeq 0.04 mag in AVA_V. The median external precision (derived from comparisons with earlier work for real stars) varies with the sample used, but lies in the range of [0,2]%\simeq [0,2]\% for distances, [12,31]%\simeq [12,31]\% for ages, [4,12]%\simeq [4,12]\% for masses, and 0.07\simeq 0.07 mag for AVA_V. We provide StarHorse distances and extinctions for the APOGEE DR14, RAVE DR5, GES DR3 and GALAH DR1 catalogues.Comment: 21 pages, 12 figures, accepte

Use of microstructural characteristics of pollen and pistil to identify olive cultivars in Southern Brazil

    Get PDF
The olive crop has a large diversity in cultivars around the world, whose identification have been based on leaf, stem or fruit traits. However, these traits may be influenced by the environment, which has led to the misidentification of cultivars. The variability of the pistil and pollen structure under electron scanning and light microscopy were studied using the cultivars 'Arbequina', 'Arbosana', 'Frantoio', 'Koroneiki', 'Manzanilla de Sevilla' and 'Picual', cultivated in Southern Brazil. The aim was to find unique patterns for their identification. This type of study has not been carried out in the conditions of Southern Brazil, where the identification of commercial cultivars sometimes is complex and confusing. There were significant differences in the variables, showing uniformity within each cultivar in different locations. The principal component analysis indicated a separation of cultivars according to similarities or micromorphological differences in the pollen wall, area of the lumen and the structural elements of the tectum. For the analysis of the pistil, the separation was even clearer, each cultivar individually forming a cluster, using as characters the length of the style in contrast to the length, width and area of the stigma. This evidenced little variation among individuals within the same cultivar. The information provided can contribute to the individual identification of very close olive tree cultivars in the conditions of Southern Brazil

Studies in the organizational and work area are addressed in the light of the discourse of globalization and the process in the world of work and how much changes that have occurred in this context have influenced the worker's behavior. These conditions are not limited to the geographical and political context, but have shown interest on the part of researchers in studies on the effects that these changes can generate on the binomial worker-organization and development of strategies to remain competitive. This article aims to verify the influence of organizational support on knowledge management. The study included 208 workers, men and women, over 18 years of age, from public and private organizations in the city of Natal-RN, who answered a sociodemographic questionnaire, the organizational support scale and knowledge management. In addition to the identification that the scales are reliable, it was observed that organizational support was positively related, either in its total score of the scores among the constructs, or in the specificity of the factors of knowledge management; in a variance analysis, it is highlighted that the subjects who had higher scores in organizational support also scored higher in knowledge management. Thus, the results of this dissertation have not only been confirmed, but also have their importance not only to reflect practices for the human being (HR), but also of organizational policy of productivity and quality of life of the worker in his work environment.Los estudios en el área organizativa y de trabajo se abordan a la luz del discurso de la globalización y el proceso en el mundo del trabajo y la cantidad de cambios que se han producido en este contexto han influido en el comportamiento del trabajador.
