Communication on Safe Caregiving between Community Nurse Case Managers and Family Caregivers
Dependent elderly individuals are usually cared for at home by untrained family members
who are unaware of the risks involved. In this setting, communication on safe caregiving is key.
The aim of this study is to describe the factors influencing the process followed by community
nurse case managers to provide communication on safe caregiving to family members caring for
dependent elderly individuals. A phenomenological study, by focus group, was done in urban
healthcare facilities. Key informants were seven community nurses, case managers with more than
12 years’ experience. We did a thematic analysis and we identified the units of meaning to which the
most relevant discourses were assigned. The concepts expressed were grouped until subcategories
were formed, which were then condensed into categories. Four categories of analysis emerged:
communication-related aspects; professional skills of nurse case managers; communication on safety and the caregiving role. To planner interventions, for the prevention of adverse events at home, is essential to consider these aspects: nurses’ professional communication skills, factors inherent to safe caregiving, the characteristics of the home where care is provided, the personal and family circumstances of the caregiver, and whether or not the caregiver’s role has been assumed by the family caregivers

The 2019-2023 Strategic Plan of the Spanish Society of Radiological Protection (SEPR)
The Spanish Society for Radiological Protection (SEPR) is a scientific and technical organization that aims to bring together all radioprotection professionals from all the sectors of activity where ionizing and non-ionizing radiation is produced. The development of the SEPR's Strategic Plan every 5 years is the cornerstone of all the different activities that the Society carries out. This document establishes the SEPR goals and objectives for that period, as well as the activities planned to achieve them. It is a living and open document that draws on past experiences while looking to the future. The Strategic Plan 2019–2023, approved on June 2019, is the Third Strategic Plan of the SEPR. In its preparation, account has been taken of the experience obtained in the application of the two previous Strategic Plans, as well as of the new demands of the general public and of professionals in the area of radiological protection that have become apparent during the previous period. This paper describes the development of the current Strategic Plan, as well as the Plan itself, and briefly analyzes its implementation in the Conclusion.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version
Prenatal pedagogy in the studies of Teaching Degree of Infant Education in the University of Huelva: study of the analysis of didactic guides and the perspective of the students
This study intends to offer a different vision of the concept of prenatal pedagogy, deeply linked to children’s sanitary need. We will try to find out its importance in the university scope through students’ opinions and the analysis of the didactic program of Early Childhood Education Degree./nIn order to achieve this, we have set ourselves the general objective of gathering information from university students of the Early Education Degree about the importance of training in prenatal education for their future work as teachers, considering that they are the most involved in the education of children in their early stages. Furthermore, we intend to reckon the relevance given to this content by the University of Huelva, one of the educational institutions responsible for teacher training./nThe data were collected through questionnaires applied to a sample of 58 3rd-4th level students of Early Childhood Education at the University of Huelva. This instrument was selected for the suitability of its application collectively. Moreover, an analysis of the didactic programs of the courses of this degree was carried out to verify the existence of contents of prenatal pedagogy within them./nFrom this research it is derived that certain notions of prenatal pedagogy are essential to become future nursery teachers, thus providing a greater amount of resources when facing our students’ learning process./nIn conclusion, we checked that the university students surveyed believe that it is necessary to have notions of prenatal pedagogy so as to become efficient teachers. The lack of this notion in the didactic programs represents a formative gap that will have negative repercussions on their initial formation and, consequently, on their educational practice. Therefore, the educational institutions in charge of the preparation of new teachers should consider including prenatal pedagogy within their didactic programs.

Powder Particle Size Effects on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Mechanically Alloyed ODS Ferritic Steels
Reduced activation ferritic (RAF) steels are expected to be widely used in challenging nuclear industrial applications under severe thermo-mechanical regimes and intense neutron loads. Therefore, actual research panorama is facing the strengthening strategies necessary to maximize both performance and endurance under these conditions. Oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) RAF steels are leader candidates as structural materials in fusion energy reactors thanks to the reinforcement obtained with a fine dispersion of nanosized oxides in their matrix. In this study, the influence of the initial powder particle size and the selected processing route on the final material has been investigated. Two RAF ODS steels coming from atomized pre-alloyed powders with nominal particle powder sizes of 70 and 30 µm and composition Fe-14Cr-2W-0.4Ti-0.3YO (wt. %) were manufactured by mechanical alloying. Alloyed powders were compacted by hot isostatic pressing, hot crossed rolled, and annealed at 1273 K. Initial powder particle size differences minimize after milling. Both steels present an almost completely recrystallized material and similar grain sizes. The same type and distributions of secondary phases, Cr-W-rich, Ti-rich, and Y-Ti oxide nanoparticles, have been also characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) in both alloy samples. The strengthening effect has been confirmed by tensile and Charpy impact tests. The two alloys present similar strength values with slightly better ductile brittle transition temperature (DBTT) and ductility for the steel produced with the smaller powder size
