Agriculture balances food requirements for mankind, and the supply of essential raw materials for many industries is the fundamental occupation in India. Smart farming allows analyzing the growth of crops and the parameters which influence crop growth and supports farmers in their activities, it is more profitable and reduces irrigation wastages. The proposed model is a smart farming system that analyzes the influence of parameters on crop growth and predicts the soil condition using a machine learning algorithm. Temperature, Ph, humidity, gas, and water level are the few most essential parameters to determine the quantity of water required and to find hazardous gas in any agriculture field. This system comprises temperature, pH, humidity, smoke detector, and water level sensor, deployed in an agricultural field, sends data through a microprocessor, developing an IoT device with cloud. In this study, we present a model that predicts soil series with regard to land type and, in accordance with the prediction, suggests appropriate crops. For soil land classification and crop prediction application is developed using KNN algorithms. Three steps are necessary for its implementation: the first is data collecting using sensors placed in an agricultural field, the second is data cleaning and storage, and the third is predictive processing utilizing the ML technique. The results obtained through the algorithms are sent to the cloud, which helps in decision-making in advance

In the modern world, everything has become online and work gets completed in a quick span of time. The flexibility of credit and debit card transactions has led to increase in number of users and also has cautioned us on security risks. The prevailing complications associated with blocking and unblocking of ATM cards involves a tedious interactive processes. In order to overcome the blocking intricacies and transaction liabilities, a three level authentication scheme involving IMEI, One-time password and Graphical pattern is used with the help of RFID (Radio Frequency Authentication). Here OTP is transmitted from mobile to ATM system which is achieved by Bluetooth. The implementation of this takes the help of RFID card, RFID reader housed in ATM, Microcontroller and Bluetooth. The proposed system is thus cost effective which also ensures faster transactions and blocking/unblocking along with tight security

    Get PDF
ABSTRACT The present study was undertaken to observe efficacy of vestibular stimulation in diabetes care. Diabetes was induced in the rats by injecting alloxan intraperitonially (I.P) in a single dose of 150mg/kg of body weight. Vestibular stimulation was performed for 60 days by caloric vestibular stimulation, by instilling warm (40 o c) and cold water (30 o c) into the external auditory meatus for group 3 and 4 respectively. The temperature difference sets up convection currents in the endolymph, with consequent motion of the cupula. Blood glucose estimation was performed by using one touch glucometer. In our pilot study we didn't observe significant effect of hot water vestibular stimulation on blood glucose levels . However cold water vestibular stimulation significantly decreased blood glucose levels on 30 th and 40 th day in alloxan induced diabetes rats. Cold water vestibular stimulation may be effective for diabetic patients. Major limitation of our study was low sample size. Hence we suggest further detailed study with more parameters to explode the effectiveness of vestibular stimulation in diabetic care

Undernutrition is a major public health problem for under 5 years of age children in India. Approximately 41% and 21% of under 5 years of age children are stunted and wasted respectively. Despite the known importance of age appropriate infant and young child feeding practices for child nutrition, the rates of these practices remain poor in India. The major determinants for inappropriate IYCF practices are beliefs and knowledge of parents and caregivers. These can be effectively addressed through counselling by mobile Health technology as mobile phones are widely available and have a high penetration across the country. This formative research explored the perceptions of caregivers regarding infant feeding practices, feasibility of mobile phone for counselling and targeted messaging to mothers on appropriate infant feeding. We conducted in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and key informant interviews. The data were translated, transcribed and analysed using a thematic approach. We found that rural households have at least one mobile phone with good network connectivity. Utilizing mobile phones for counselling was found to be acceptable in the community, provided that the advice given is affordable, tailored to their cultural beliefs and socio-economic status
