QUANDO A ARTE SE TORNA POESIA

This article aims to demonstrate some mechanisms of the Interarts exercise, in several inflexions, which are necessarily guides of the poetic creation, that is, when a work of art engenders another work of art. The corpus of analysis consists of poems of Brazilian contemporary literature which maintains a relation with the visual arts, whether by means of an artist's name mere quotation or the reference of a specific work of art, as well as the works of Brazilian contemporary artists who appropriate poems as a necessary elements for its configuration.O artigo pretende demonstrar alguns mecanismos do exercício interartes, em várias flexões, que são necessariamente orientadores do fazer poético, isto é, quando uma obra de arte engendra outra obra de arte. O corpus de análise é constituído de poemas da literatura brasileira contemporânea, que mantêm uma relação com as artes visuais, seja por meio de citação simples do nome de um artista ou da referencia a uma obra de arte específica, bem como de obras de artistas brasileiros contemporâneos que se apropriam de poemas como elemento necessário para sua configuração

Linhas imaginárias: desenho e memória na obra de Rosana Palazyan

The purpose of this paper is to direct a look on the video installation of Rosana Palazyan, “Uma história que eu nunca mais esqueci” (A story I never forgot), considering the drawing and to show how, through it, she faces the other’s discourse since this is memory of her own history. Using the concept of “ethnographer artist” of Hal Foster, it is intended to read the work of Palazyan as parallax, inasmuch as it makes the past memory lines converge with those ones from the present in which it is located, in a permanent exchange. The boat is understood as a metaphor of Armenian diaspora, but also as an aggressive expressive mean to talk about histories, intimacy, niceties and, especially, memories.O objetivo deste ensaio é voltar sobre a videoinstalação de Rosana Palazyan Uma história que eu nunca mais esqueci, um olhar a partir do desenho e demonstrar como, por meio dele, realiza o enfrentamento do discurso do outro enquanto memória de sua própria história.  Utilizando o conceito de “artista etnógrafo” de Hal Foster pretende-se ler a obra de Palazyan como paraláctica, na medida em que faz convergir as linhas da memória do passado com aquelas do presente em que se localiza, numa constante troca. O barco é compreendido como metáfora da diáspora armênia, mas também como um meio expressivo contundente para falar de histórias, intimidades, delicadezas e, principalmente, memórias

METAPOESIA E EROTISMO EM MARGEM DE MANOBRA, DE CLÁUDIA ROQUETE- PINTO

This paper aims at discussing metapoetical constructions in the book Margem de Manobra by Cláudia Roquette-Pinto. Through the diverse representations of the word ‘body’, the poet builds a network of meanings, which comprehend the body of the poet, who enunciates, the body of the world, which is subject matter to poetry, the body of another person and its sensuality. All these bodies converge upon the body of the poem that recovers classic concepts of the poetic process writing, problematizing them and trying to find a place in the contemporary Brazilian literature scenario.É objetivo deste artigo discutir as construções metapoéticas presentes na obra Margem de Manobra de Cláudia Roquette-Pinto. Por meio de diversas acepções da palavra corpo, a poeta tece uma rede de significações que compreendem o corpo do poeta, que enuncia, o corpo do mundo, como matéria de poesia, o corpo do outro e sua sensualidade, até que, por fim, todos esses corpos convergem no corpo do poema, que retoma conceitos clássicos do fazer poético, problematiza-os, e posiciona-se no cenário da literatura brasileira contemporânea

Still life: a poetic and photographic reflection

Born as a gender of the Dutch painting of the 16th century, still life served to both a merely decorative taste and the need of deep reflections about the ephemerality of the human presence in the world. While vanitas had as a function to recollect that pleasures and appearances are ephemeral; while memento mori induced to reflection about life and death, reaching in both the forms and the allegorical character. Since the early days of photography, the model is the painting, and the theme of still life appears both in classics like Talbot and Bayard, and in modern Rodchenko and Cartier-Bresson. In the Brazilian modernist poetry, the reading of “Maçã”, by Manuel Bandeira, has already become classical as a cubist still life. Our work aims to investigate settings that the theme finds in the contemporary poetry of Paulo Henriques Brito and Ana Martins Marques, as well as in photographs of Robert Frank and Francesca Woodmann and in a video of Sam Taylor Wood, enhancing its indexical, allegorical and narrative character

The article aims to show how the landscape description in the novel Sylvie by Gérard de Nerval, whose pictorial reference is present in Watteau’s works, much more than a mere scenery, is the resource on which the narrative interweaves itself and it is the one that allows the expansion of time games. It finds in the definition of icon text, by Liliane Louvel, and the hypertext, by Genette, the key concepts for the analysis of descriptive procedures.O artigo procura demonstrar como a descrição da paisagem na novela Sylvie, de Gérard de Nerval, cujo referencial pictórico está nas obras de Watteau, muito mais do que mero cenário, é o recurso no qual a narrativa se entretece e que permite a ampliação dos jogos temporais. Encontra na definição de iconotexto, de Liliane Louvel, e de hipertexto de Genette, conceitos chave para a análise dos procedimentos descritivos

Madame Bovary e o realismo moderno de Flaubert

The objective of this paper is to read and analyze Flaubert’s novel, Madame Bovary, focusing on the innovations related to the spatial form that later are to be found in the modern novel. The theoretical support used in the discussion are Auerbach’s and Joseph Frank’s analysis and the realist paintings of the second half of the 19th century. Keywords: Flaubert. Realism. Impressionism.
