Analytical device model for graphene bilayer field-effect transistors using weak nonlocality approximation
We develop an analytical device model for graphene bilayer field-effect
transistors (GBL-FETs) with the back and top gates. The model is based on the
Boltzmann equation for the electron transport and the Poisson equation in the
weak nonlocality approximation for the potential in the GBL-FET channel. The
potential distributions in the GBL-FET channel are found analytically. The
source-drain current in GBL-FETs and their transconductance are expressed in
terms of the geometrical parameters and applied voltages by analytical formulas
in the most important limiting cases. These formulas explicitly account for the
short-gate effect and the effect of drain-induced barrier lowering. The
parameters characterizing the strength of these effects are derived. It is
shown that the GBL-FET transconductance exhibits a pronounced maximum as a
function of the top-gate voltage swing. The interplay of the short-gate effect
and the electron collisions results in a nonmonotonic dependence of the
transconductance on the top-gate length.Comment: 12 pages, 7 figure
Using neural nets for reducing gas concentrations by the data of trass gas analyzer at CO2-laser
Aspects of neutral network construction and its learning for increasing accuracy of gas concentration reduction by measuring data of CO2-laser trass gas analyzer have been considered. Accuracy of reducing atmospheric gas (Н2О, СО2 и О3) concentration by neural network method in comparison with traditionally used method of least square is give
Experimental grounding of the efficiency of the use of elastic operating elements in the devices for pre-sowing seed treatments
The article is devoted to the experimental studies of the effect of elastic operating elements of a mixer-dresser on seeds. Conducted experimental studies have shown the effectiveness of using the elastic operating elements for pre-sowing seed treatments. The proposed device is intended for the intensification of the process of mixing and dressing, excluding the traumatizing of seeds, and the harmful effect of protectant preparations on maintenance workers, while simplifying and reducing the cost of construction without additional power inputs. Experimental studies have confirmed the hypothesis, that the use ofshells, made of elastic materials,in the function of mixing devices, significantly reduces the time of preparation of homogeneous mixtures, due to the ability to accumulate the potential energy and to transfer it to the granular material,in the form of kinetic energy of mixed particles motion. Based on the performed researches, 3D model of the device for pre-sowing seed treatments has been developed. Hybrid elastic mixer-dressers can be used in agricultural enterprises, dealing with the issues of obtaining multicomponent granular mixtures and seed dressing.Web of Science97S74273
Fuzzy interpretation for temporal-difference learning in anomaly detection problems
Nowadays, information control systems based on databases develop dynamically worldwide. These systems are extensively implemented
into dispatching control systems for railways, intrusion detection systems for computer security and other domains centered on big data
analysis. Here, one of the main tasks is the detection and prediction of temporal anomalies, which could be a signal leading to significant (and often critical) actionable information. This paper proposes the new anomaly prevent detection technique, which allows for determining the predictive temporal structures. Presented approach is based on a hybridization of stochastic Markov reward model by using fuzzy production rules, which allow to correct Markov information based on expert knowledge about the process dynamics as well as Markov’s intuition about the probable anomaly occurring. The paper provides experiments showing the efficacy of detection and prediction. In addition, the analogy between new framework and temporal-difference learning for sequence anomaly detection is graphically illustrated.Web of Science64363262
Establishment of State Military Horse Breeding in Russia in 18th-19th Centuries: Pochinkovsky Stud Farm
The article is devoted to the study of the formation of the state military horse breeding in Russia in the 18th-19th centuries on the example of Pochinkovsky stud farm. Data on history of origin in this region of horse-breeding activity are presented. The authors dwell on the characteristics of the architectural complex of the stud farm, infrastructure developed in its territory, provide data on the quantitative composition of factory employees and the administration, indicating their rights and obligations. Special attention is paid to the analysis of methods of selection work, breeds of horses, quality of their service. It is proved that high performance of Pochinkovsky stud farm was determined by the favorable climatic conditions, a century of experience in equine activities, significant funding from the state, as well as a high degree of operation of peasants assigned to it. It is emphasized that the creation of a network of military stud farms like Pochinkovsky was one of the government’s measures to strengthen the military power of the Russian Empire. The novelty of the research is due to its contribution to the development of scientific ideas about the role of the Pochinkovsky stud farm in Russian life during the 18th-19th centuries and its influence on the economic structure of the Pochinkovsky County and Nizhny Novgorod province as a whole
Architectural Complex of the Pochinok State Stud Farm in the 17th-20th Centuries
The article is devoted to the study of the problem of monuments of regional importance restoration by the example of the architectural complex of the Pochinkovskiy state stud farm. The information on the stages of the ensemble formation of the stud farm is presented. The authors pay special attention to the analysis of planning and stylistic features of the production and residential parts of the complex, the characteristics of the infrastructure developed on its territory. Examples of structural transformation of individual structures are given, as a result of which their original functional purpose has changed. It is proved that the architectural ensemble of the Pochinkovsky stud farm played a town-forming role in the structure of the same-named settlement. The authors emphasize the high level of development of Russian architectural thought in the XIX century, in which even provincial production complexes turned into monumental monuments, characterized by functional clarity and regularity of forms in combination with artistic expressiveness and non-standard architectural solutions. The novelty of the study is due to the use of an integrated approach to recreating the original appearance of the historical and architectural monument. The article continues the development of scientific ideas about the role of the stud farm in the process of forming planning and stylistic features in the structure of the settlement of Pochinki
