The development of a mapping tool for the evaluation of building systems for future climate scenarios on European scale
The paper presents a tool for the mapping of the performance of building
systems on European scale for different (future) time periods. The tool is to
use for users and be applicable for different building systems. Users should
also be able to use a broad range of climate parameters to assess the influence
of climate change on these climatic parameters. Also should the calculation
time be reasonable short. The mapping tool is developed in MATLAB, which can be
used by other users for their own studies.Comment: 21 pages, 24 figures, pre-conferenc

Three-dimensional retinal image stability during visual tilt discrimination in the rabbit
Abstract
Rabbits trained to discriminate vertical vs. oblique striations are unable to discriminate angular differences of 5°. In the present study the instabilities around the roll axis of the eyes were measured during visual discrimination. The results indicate that these instabilities are one of the causes of the rabbit's inability to discriminate angular differences of 5°

Growth Hormone Treatment in SGA : More than meets the eye
Growth hormone (GH) treatment effectively induces catch-up growth and improves adult height in short children born small for gestational age (SGA). Besides this visual effect, GH treatment also has several other effects which occur inside the body.
This doctoral thesis presents the effects of GH treatment, with or without additional gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog (GnRHa) treatment, on metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors. The effects of GnRHa treatment, in addition to GH treatment, on pubertal development are described. Further, the long-term effects of discontinuation of GH treatment are assessed in young adults born SGA. Finally, a new genetic cause for persistent short stature after SGA birth is revealed.
The results presented in this thesis illustrate that there is more to GH treatment than meets the eye
