STUDY OF THE HEALTH RELATED PHYSICAL FITNESS IN UNIVERSITY TEACHERS AND STUDENTS OF CHINA
INTRODUCTION: The purpose of the study was to determine the actual constitution or physical characteristics of moderate and highly qualified Chinese intellectuals. Suggestions for their improvements in sports are proposed in accordance with their level of physical fitness
ESTABLISHMENT OF NATIONAL STANDARD FOR INERTIAL PARAMETERS OF CHINESE ADULTS
Utilizing the database of human body measurement of Chinese adults, 128 regression equations of inertial parameters of adult human body segments were established in the study on the base of research on inertial parameters of young human body segments using the CT method. These equations includes: the binary and plural regression equations that calculate segmental mass and center of mass of adult male or a female; the binary and plural regression equations that calculate segmental and the whole body inertial moments of adult male or female. A measuring system consisting of a three-wire pendulum instrument and center of gravity plank is also devised in the study. After measuring the selected Chinese adults (80 males and 40 females), the regression equations of inertial parameters of Chinese adults are verified. A national standard was subsequently established
Free vibration analysis for wind turbine structure by component mode synthesis method
Based on free interface component modal synthesis method, the free vibration behavior of wind turbine structures is investigated. The wind turbine structure is divided into three parts including tower, wheel hub-cabin and rotor. The tower is modeled as an isotropic metal cantilever beam, the blade as thin-walled composite beam and the wheel hub-cabin as a rigid body due to its large extensional stiffness, bending stiffness and torsion stiffness compared with tower and blades. The displacements of the blades are described by thin-walled composite beam theory. Galerkin’s method is used to discretize blades and tower. Employing Lagrange method, the motion equations of blades are derived and then stiffness and mass matrices are obtained. The natural frequencies and mode shapes of the wind turbine structure are predicted by numerical simulations. Numerical results using the present model are validated by ANSYS software results
Germplasm and conservation of rare and endangered tree species endemic to east China
There are plenty of native tree species in east China, including 16 rare and endangered tree species belonging to 11 genera in 10 families. Because of narrow distribution area, weak qualitative competitiveness and reduced natural regeneration, the number of these tree species are decreasing substantially. Thus, it is necessary to protect endangered species endemic to the region. In this paper the basic data on germplasm, geographical distribution, biological characters, endangered status and current conservation strategies of rare and endangered species endemic to east China are presented. The gap areas were identified and accordingly implications were made on the future work on the native rare and endangered tree species in east China should focus on the basic research of conservation biology, establishment of the information system, solution of problems in reproductive biology and more emphasis on the key regions for protecting biodiversity
Vaccination in the childhood and awareness of basic public health services program among internal migrants: a nationwide cross-sectional study
BACKGROUND: Vaccination is proved to be one of the most effective and efficient way to prevent illness and reduce health inequality. Studies about association between vaccination inequalities in the childhood and awareness of basic public health services program among internal migrants in China are lacking. In this study, we aimed to explore the association between migrants' vaccination status between 0 and 6 years old and their awareness of the National Basic Public Health Services (BPHSs) project in China. METHODS: We included 10,013 respondents aged 15 years old or above of eight provinces from 2017 Migrant Population Dynamic Monitoring Survey in China, a nationwide cross-sectional study. Univariate and multivariable logistic regressions were used to assess vaccination inequalities and the awareness of public health information. RESULTS: Only 64.8% migrants were vaccinated in their childhood, which is far below the goal of national requirement of 100% vaccination. This also indicated the vaccination inequalities among migrants. Female, the middle-aged, married or having a relationship, the highly educated and the healthy population had higher awareness of this project than others. Both univariate and multivariate logistic regressions showed greatly significant association between vaccination status and some vaccines. Specifically, after adding convariates, the results showed that there were significant associations between the vaccination rates of eight recommended vaccines in the childhood and their awareness of BPHSs project (all p values < 0.001), including HepB vaccine (OR: 1.28; 95%CI: 1.19, 1.37), HepA vaccine (OR: 1.27; 95%CI: 1.15, 1.41), FIn vaccine (OR: 1.28; 95%CI: 1.16, 1.45), JE vaccine (OR: 1.14; 95%CI: 1.04, 1.27), TIG vaccine (OR: 1.27; 95%CI: 1.05, 1.47), DTaP vaccine (OR: 1.30; 95%CI: 1.11-1.53), MPSV vaccine (OR: 1.26; 95%CI: 1.07-1.49), HF vaccine (OR: 1.32; 95%CI: 1.11, 1.53), except for RaB vaccine (OR: 1.07; 95%CI: 0.89, 1.53). CONCLUSIONS: The vaccination inequalities exist among migrants. There is a strong relationship between the vaccination status in the childhood and the awareness rate of BPHSs project among migrants. From our findings we could know that the promotion of vaccination rates of the disadvantaged population such as the internal migrants or other minority population can help them increase the awareness of free public health services, which was proved to be beneficial for health equity and effectiveness and could promote public health in the future
NEW METHODS TO DETERMINE 3-D ROTATIONAL INERTIA
Due to the different stature of the various nationalities and the limitation of the sample or the divergent research methods, the results on human-body inertia parameters of occidentals are not suitable to be applied to oriental adults. In this study, the 3-D principal inertia of each segment and of the entire body of Chinese adults was determined and the mathematical models for calculating their parameters were constructed. The results from this study can aid in the development of the prosthetic limbs for invalids, and analysis of the movements of astronauts, etc. In addition, the regression equations for calculating 3-D principal inertia of human standard postures and for each segment were derived. Their reliability are tested and verified by threestring pendulum method
