Information extraction
In this paper we present a new approach to extract relevant information by knowledge graphs from natural language text. We give a multiple level model based on knowledge graphs for describing template information, and investigate the concept of partial structural parsing. Moreover, we point out that expansion of concepts plays an important role in thinking, so we study the expansion of knowledge graphs to use context information for reasoning and merging of templates
Word graphs: The third set
This is the third paper in a series of natural language processing in term of knowledge graphs. A word is a basic unit in natural language processing. This is why we study word graphs. Word graphs were already built for prepositions and adwords (including adjectives, adverbs and Chinese quantity words) in two other papers. In this paper, we propose the concept of the logic word and classify logic words into groups in terms of semantics and the way they are used in describing reasoning processes. A start is made with the building of the lexicon of logic words in terms of knowledge graphs
Upper critical fields and superconducting anisotropy of K0.70Fe1.55Se1.01S0.99 and K0.76Fe1.61Se0.96S1.04 single crystals
We have investigated temperature and angular dependence of resistivity of
K0.70(7)Fe1.55(7)Se1.01(2)S0.99(2) and K0.76(5)Fe1.61(5)Se0.96(4)S1.04(5)
single crystals. The upper critical fields Hc2(T) for both field directions
decrease with the increase in S content. On the other hand, the angle-dependent
magnetoresistivity for both compounds can be scaled onto one curve using the
anisotropic Ginzburg-Landau theory. The obtained anisotropy of Hc2(T) increases
with S content, implying that S doping might decrease the dimensionality of
certain Fermi surface parts, leading to stronger two dimensional character.Comment: 5 pages, 6 figure
Structural parsing
Parsing is an essential part of natural language processing. In this paper, structural parsing, which is based on the theory of knowledge graphs, is introduced. Under consideration of the semantic and syntactic features of natural language, both semantic and syntactic word graphs are formed. Grammar rules are derived from the syntactic word graphs. Due to the distinctions between Chinese and English, the grammar rules are given for the Chinese version and the English version of syntactic word graphs respectively. By traditional parsing a parse tree can then be given for a sentence, that can be used to map the sentence on a sentence graph. This is called structural parsing. The relationship with utterance paths is discussed. As a result, chunk indicators are proposed to guide structural parsing
Vortex-like surface wave and its role in the transient phenomena of meta-material focusing
We show that a slab of meta-material (with )
possesses a vortex-like surface wave with no ability to transport energy, whose
nature is completely different from a localized mode or a standing wave.
Through computations based on a rigorous time-dependent Green's function
approach, we demonstrate that such a mode inevitably generates characteristic
image oscillations in two dimensional focusing with even a monochromatic
source, which were observed in many numerical simulations, but such
oscillations are weak in three dimensional focusing.Comment: To appear in the March 7th issue of Appl. Phys. Let
