    On the Comparative Study of Some Mathematical Tools for Specific Sequences Design

    In modern communication system, cryptography and automatic test patterns, some specific sequences with strictly defined properties are required to meet the application demands. [1,2,3,4
] These requirements are: Good pseudorandom (PN) properties (large period length, uniform distrbution
). Low periodic correlation property. Low aperiodic correlation property. Large linear complexity. Large cardinality (number of sequences in the set). Unfortunately, there is not any set of sequence satisfying all these requirements, despite the fact that a lot of efforts have been given for design such sequences. For this purpose, different mathematical tools have been widely used such as: matrix, d-transform and trace function representations. However, to the best of our knowledge, there has been no any comparative study on these mathematicals tools carried out so far! In this contribution, we try to fill some parts of this gap by considering some typical applications of these tools. The paper is constructed as below: In the introduction, the basic concepts and definitions of matrix, d-transform and trace are given (briefly). In section II, some typical applications (for demonstration) will be shown. In this regard, we will give some discussions and suggestions for choosing the appropriate mathematical tools for each application.     A Hardware Oriented Method to Generate and Evaluate Nonlinear Interleaved Sequences with Desired properties

    It is well known that the combinatorial structure, algebraic structure and D-transform based method render the nonlinear sequences with good autocorrelation function (ACF) and great linear complexity (LC). However, “all sequences” are not equal even if they are “born” by the same method! In this paper the big inequalities regarding LC of these sequences are shown based on a hardware oriented method (D-transform).     DEVELOPING A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR THE FISSION YEAST CELL CYCLE: SIMULATING MUTANTS OVEREXPRESSING EITHER CDC25 OR WEE1

    During the last decade several mathematical models were constructed to describe the fission yeast cell cycle. In these models, fluctuations of MPF activity were responsible for cell cycle transitions, and they successfully explained the behaviour of wild-type fission yeast cells and many cell division cycle mutants as well. However, the mutants involved in these models were mainly loss-of-function mutants (either temperature-sensitive point mutants or gene deletion ones). By contrast, the phenotypes of several gene overproducing (op) mutants have been published during the last twenty years, like those of cdc25op and wee1op cells (in the case of the latter one, even the effects of different overexpression levels are known). Since Wee1 and Cdc25 is a kinase-phosphatase pair, regulating MPF activity and as a consequence, timing mitotic onset in fission yeast, a detailed mathematical model of the fission yeast cell cycle should be able to simulate these overexpression mutants. Within the framework of this paper, a formerly published model was tested for these mutants. In order to describe properly the behaviour of cdc25op and wee1op mutants, some alterations had to be made in the original model, both in the parameter values and in the equations. If these corrections have been involved, the newly developed model also maintained its capability to explain the phenotypes of all those mutants, for which the original model was made. Furthermore, the model predicts the phenotypes of two mutants not yet constructed by geneticists

    Design and Analysis of Ternary m-sequences with Interleaved Structure by d-Transform

    Multilevel sequences find more and more applications in modern modulation schemes [4QPSK, 8QPSK,16QAM..]  for the 3G ,4G system air interface [1,2].Furthermore, in modern cryptography they are also widerly used. It is also interesting to point out that the length L of these sequences are composite numbers( L=NS),that means the sequence can be easily implemented by interleaving S subsequences, each of length S.Therefore, the methods to develop multilevel sequence with interleaved structure draw a lot of attentions [3, 4]. In this contribution, a method for design and analysis of ternary m-sequences with interleaved structure is presented, based on the d-transform, Which turns out to be a very effective and versal tool for this purpose. Simulations have been made to verify the theory. We first introduce d-transform and its properties and then work out the procedure to design an interleaving sequence in d-transform.     Interaction between triphenylphosphine or 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane with some complexes K[PtCl3(olefin)] (olefin: methyleugenol, safrole, isopropyl eugenoxyacetate)

    Novel study on the interaction between K[PtCl3(olefin)] (olefin: methyleugenol, safrole and isopropyl eugenoxyacetate) with TPP and DPPE shows that TPP and DPPE readily replace the olefins to form complexes [PtCl2(TPP)2] (P4), [PtCl2(DPPE)] (P5) and [Pt(DPPE)2]Cl2 (P6). P4 possesses trans configuration when the molar ratio of the mono olefin and TPP of 1:1. When the ratio is 1:2, P4 is a mixture of trans and cis isomers of which trans one is prevailing. The cis isomer trends to convert to trans one in chloroform solvent. P5 and P6 were formed when the molar ratio of mono isopropyl eugenoxyacetate and DPPE of 1:1 and 1:2, respectively. The structures of P4Ă·P6 were elucidated by Pt analysis, ESI-MS, IR and 1H NMR spectra studies. Keywords. Pt(II) complexes, olefins, phosphine derivatives

    Factors Influencing Intention to Use Social Insurance Application (VssID) in Vietnam Through Technology Acceptance Model

    Technology is becoming more and more popular in public services in general and social insurance in particular in Vietnam. Although the social insurance software has been used since November 2020, the number of users is still limited so far. Therefore, this study aims at investigating determinants of the intention to use social insurance management applications of Vietnamese people. Applying a combination of three models (TAM, TRA and TPB), the study identifies five determinants of technology acceptance of users in their intention to use this application in Vietnam’s Social Insurance, including Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Subjective norm, Perceived behavioral control, and Attitude towards usage. Data for the study were collected through a survey in three big Vietnamese cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang. Research results show that users' technology acceptance intention in social insurance in Vietnam is positively influenced by all five factors. From the analysis results, the study proposes recommendations related to improving the performance of the application, propagandizing the high applicability of VssID to the public. Policies and guidelines for the government to promote user's habit of using the application are also recommended.     Effects of leukemia inhibitory factor on transcript expression of pluripotent genes in bovine embryonic stem like cells

    Leukemia inhibitory factor (Lif) is very important for embryonic stem cell establishment. In this study, we investigated effects of Lif on transcript expression of pluripotent genes of bovine embryonic stem like cells in passage 1, passage 3 and passage 6. The results showed that Lif supplementation of medium could improve transcript expression of pluripotent gene including nanog, oct4, sox2 and c-myc. Three Lif concentrations were applied for cell culture medium. We found that pluripotent gene transcripts were highest expressed in 103 IU/ml Lif supplemented medium, especially nanog and oct4 transcript expression could be maintained until 6th passage . The transcript expression was decreased in 104 IU/ml Lif suppmented medium, suggesting that high concentration of Lif could inhibit pluripotent gene expression. Thus, 103 IU/ml Lif was the most efficient concentration to improve transcript expression of pluripotent genes. There was a relationship in nanog expression and c-myc and sox2 expression. C-myc and sox2 expression were up-regulated when nanog was down-regulated. We also accessed nanog or oct4 which were key factors for the maintenace of pluripotency and renewal of bovine embryonic stem like cell. The result demonstrated that nanog could be the key factor for pluripotency of bovine embryonic stem like cells.

    Survey on Vietnamese teachers’ perspectives and perceived support during COVID-19

    The COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented damage to the educational system worldwide. Besides the measurable economic impacts in the short-term and long-term, there is intangible destruction within educational institutions. In particular, teachers – the most critical intellectual resources of any schools – have to face various types of financial, physical, and mental struggles due to COVID-19. To capture the current context of more than one million Vietnamese teachers during COVID-19, we distributed an e- survey to more than 2,500 randomly selected teachers from two major teacher communities on Facebook from 6th to 11th April 2020. From over 373 responses, we excluded the observations which violated our cross-check questions and retained 294 observations for further analysis. This dataset includes: (i) Demographics of participants; (ii) Teachers' perspectives regarding the operation of teaching activities during the pandemic; (iii) Teachers' received support from their schools, government bodies, other stakeholders such as teacher unions, and parents' associations; and (iv) teachers' evaluation of school readiness toward digital transformation. Further, the dataset was supplemented with an additional question on the teachers' primary source of professional development activities during the pandemic
