Diagnóstico comunicativo, en torno al área deportiva: una oportunidad de visibilidad, participación y reconocimiento a profesores y estudiantes de secundaria en el Colegio Gran Bretaña.

Generar un diagnóstico comunicacional del área deportiva, para lograr una lista de sugerencias y recomendaciones que aporten al proceso comunicativo institucional y ayuden a incrementar la participación de estudiantes de secundaria y sus profesores.Este proyecto nace desde una inquietud como comunicadora social al identificar una falencia comunicativa interna entre el área deportiva y el área de comunicaciones del Colegio Gran Bretaña de la ciudad de Bogotá D.C., basada en la falta de visibilidad de los procesos deportivos en el ejercicio formativo. Para entender el problema se usó una metodología mixta que a través de encuestas, entrevistas y el seguimiento de redes pudo generar un diagnóstico comunicacional del área deportiva, desarrollando una lista de sugerencias y recomendaciones que aporten al proceso comunicativo institucional y ayuden a incrementar la participación de estudiantes de secundaria y sus profesores. Para lograr esto, fue necesario el sustento de varias teorías comunicativas. Por medio de las teorías de Laswell, McLuhan y La Escuela de Palo Alto, se pudo comprender la importancia de la estructura comunicativa, la participación de los individuos involucrados en la problemática comunicativa y la influencia de las herramientas tecnológicas buscando integrar el proceso de aprendizaje con el desarrollo de las habilidades motoras que el deporte imprime en los estudiantes. La importancia del deporte en la educación se ha convertido en una visión global. Cómo conclusión a esta investigación se pudo evidenciar que hay un vacío comunicacional entre el área de deportes y el área de comunicaciones.This project was created as a query from the social communicator when an internal communication deficit was found between the sports and communication departments of Gran Bretaña School; moreover, it was based on the lack of visibility of the sports dynamic in the formative process. To understand this problem, a mixed methodology of investigation using questionnaires, interviews, social media follow up, and observation. This research was able to generate a communicational diagnosis in the sports department, creating a list of suggestions and recommendations to help improve the participation of students in secondary, and their teachers as well. To accomplish this, the investigation was supported by various communication theories including: Laswell, McLuchan, and Palo Alto School´s; which helped understand the 9 importance of a communication structure, the participation of those involved in the communication challenge and the influence of technological tools looking to integrate the learning process with the development of motor abilities that the sports dynamic gives the students, following was is now the global vision of education. La enseñanza universitaria en entornos virtuales

In this paper, we want to reflect about the impact that will have Information COmmunication Technologies in the formation of the labour capital. We present an analysis about the current situation about the development of the university education by virtual campus, concretely in the area of Social Sciences. In the second section we analyse how this new technology is changing the university teaching and the formation of workers. In the thrid section we show the main aspects that can define the application of these technologies in the teaching showing their problems and analysing the principal answers. In the fourth section we present the principal projects that now exist in Spain respect an one Degree of Social Sciences, Labour Science Degree. Finally, in the fifth section, we show the projects that Cordoba University have in this subject.En este trabajo pretendemos reflexionar sobre el impacto que tendrán( tienen) las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación en la formación del capital humano. Es este sentido, presentamos un análisis de la situación actual de la impartición de la enseñanza universitaria a través de campus virtuales, concretamente en el área de las Ciencias Sociales. Tras una breve introducción, en el segundo apartado expondremos de forma sucinta cómo están afectando las nuevas tecnologías en la docencia universitaria. En el tercer apartado plantearemos los principales aspectos que debe definir, para su correcta utilización, la aplicación de estas tecnologías en la docencia universitaria, exponiendo sus problemas y planteando las principales respuestas que se están dando. El turismo como motor de desarrollo económico en ciudades patrimonio de la humanidad

En los albores del siglo XXI el turismo se está convirtiendo en un importante motor económico en diversas áreas geográficas. En este trabajo analizamos la relación que existe entre turismo, cultura y economía, y de cómo cada uno de estos campos están íntimamente unidos en el concepto de turismo cultural. Asimismo, presentamos un análisis del impacto económico que dicho segmento turístico podría tener en las Ciudades Patrimonio de la Humanidad. A tal fin, diseñamos una metodología para realizar dicho análisis y presentamos un estudio empírico del impacto económico producido sobre una ciudad, Córdoba, así como una simulación a corto y medio plazo en el número de pernoctaciones en dicha ciudad que podría ser utilizado para planificar políticas públicas e iniciativas privadas.In the beginning of 21st century, tourism is one of the more important elments in the development of certain geographical areas. I this paper we analyse the relation between tourism, culture and economy, and how all of this subjects are linked to the concept of cultural tourism. Similarly, we present the analysis of the economic impact that this tourist sector culd have on the World Heritage Cities. With this objective, we design a methodology to accumplish this analysis and show an empirical study of the economic impact produced in a city, Córdoba. Furthermore, we plan to make a simulation to the short and medium term of the number of overnights in this city that could be used to plan public politics and private enterprises

SOCIOMETACOGNITIVE APPROACH FOR THE STRENGTHENING OF CRITICAL READING IN SECONDARY EDUCATION

Critical reading competence is one of the major problems in Colombian education. This article presents the results of an investigation that determined the impact of a program of socio-methodological strategies in strengthening critical reading in high school students. The research assumed a mixed approach with action research and pre-experimental research methods. A study and workgroup (GET) were created to determine the characteristics of the pedagogical strategy, and entrance and exit tests were applied to compare the students’ performance levels in critical reading before and after the intervention. The results showed that, from the sociometacognitive perspective, the teaching of critical reading contributes to strengthening the competences to identify the local contents of the text, to establish a relationship between the parts to account for the global content, as well as to reflect on a text and evaluate its content. In this way, the perspective favors understanding textual micro, macro and superstructures.&nbsp

Incorporating a systemic and foresight approach into smart city initiatives: The case of Spanish cities

Descripción de un enfoque sistémico que permite analizar las iniciativas Smart Cities de forma integrada y utilizando herramientas de prospectiva. At the dawn of the twenty-first century, cities face serious societal, economic, environmental, and governance challenges. Under the term “Smart City,” numerous technology-based initiatives are emerging to help cities face contemporary challenges while the concept itself is evolving towards a more holistic approach. Nevertheless, the capability of smart initiatives to provide an integrated vision of our cities is still very limited. Eventually, many of these initiatives do not fulfill satisfactorily their initial objectives because they fail to understand the complexity, diversity, and uncertainty that characterize contemporary cities. The purpose of this paper is twofold: to display an urban functional system, capable of interpreting the city in a more holistic way, and to incorporate foresight tools so as to formulate Smart City visions in a more participatory way with the involvement of local stakeholders

Beta2 adrenergic receptor silencing change intraocular pressure in New Zealand rabbits

Purpose/aim: Glaucoma consists of a group of progressive optic neuropathies that are characterized by degeneration of the optic nerve and irreversible visual filed loss. Elevated intraocular pressure is the only proven treatable risk factor and commercial products used for glaucoma treatment are focused in lowering intraocular pressure. These drugs can have various undesirable side effects and this invites to look for new strategies. The purpose of this work is to study the use of a siRNA (small interfering RNA) to selectively silence beta2 adrenergic receptors and to see whether it reduces IOP (intraocular pressure). Material and methods: Topical instillation of beta2 adrenergic receptors small-interfering RNA (siRNA, 25–250 μg) was applied and IOP was measured with a Tonopen XL up to 9 consecutive days. The effect of such siRNA was compared to commercial compounds such as Timoftlol, Trusopt and Xalatan, and it was also analyzed if some anatomical changes occurred by microscopy. Results: siRNA designed for beta2 adrenergic receptor induced a reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) of 30 ± 5%, compared to a control (scrambled siRNA). The results in terms of IOP decrease were similar to that found with commercial compounds but a long-lasting hypotensive action was shown by beta2 adrenergic receptor siRNA treatment as compared to commercial drugs. No apparent side effects were observed in the ocular structures. Conclusion: The use of siRNA against the beta2 adrenergic receptors could provide an interesting therapeutic strategy for glaucoma treatment
