Dinamika Aliran Keagamaan Sempalan: Tinjauan Persepektif Sosiologi Agama

Abstract Currently, the efforts are focused on explaining fragment religious flows from social science approaches. The social sciences approaches are not only explain how a fragment religious flow appeared and developed but also can explain how to overcome religious conflict in the communities. In this case, The Religion colleges have important roles. In relation to the increasing of educational level of community, which is influenced by the role of religion colleges. The religion colleges support the civil society approach with universal values which existed in all religions such as democracy, tolerance, egalitarianism spirits, that is why the app roaches with social science basics are important to be intensified in understanding and responding towards the fragment religious flows phenomenon. This paper explains about the fragment religious flows from the sociological perspectives and initiates the strategic roles of religion colleges in solving the problem of developed religious conflicts. Pendekatan ilmu-ilmu sosial ini bukan hanya untuk menjelaskan bagaimana suatu aliran keagamaan sempalan muncul dan berkembang, tetapi dalam ranah praktis cukup efektif dalam meredam gejolak yang terjadi di masyarakat, bahkan dalam penyelesaian konflik keagamaan yang terjadi. Dalam konteks ini peran Perguruan Tinggi Agama menjadi penting. Perguruan Tinggi Agama, yang mendorong pendekatan civil society dengan mengedepankan nilai-nilai universal yang terdapat pada semua ajaran agama, seperti demokrasi, toleransi, semangat egalitarianisme, maka pendektan berbasis ilmu-ilmu sosial perlu semakin ditingkatkan. Tulisan ini menjelaskan dinamika aliran keagamaan sempalan dalam perspektif sosiologi dan menggagas peran strategis Perguruan Tinggi Agama dalam mengatasi konflik keagamaan yang berkembang. Abstract: This articleexaminesthe concept of patience in the thought of Buya Hamka, focusing on the integration between the Qur’an and hadith in Tafsir Al-Azhar. As a central theme in Islam, patience is not only understood as a passive reaction to adversity but as an active attitude reflecting spiritual strength and depth of faith. This article identifies how Buya Hamka interprets patience through the bial-ma’thūrmethod, using hadith as an explanatory tool to deepen the meaning of patience-related verses. With a qualitative analysis that emphasizes textual study, this articlepresents evidence that Buya Hamka relates patience to social and individual contexts and creates practical guidance for Muslims in facing the challenges of daily life. Through this approach, the author shows how patience can serve as a tool to achieve emotional balance and mental resilience. The contribution of this study lies in the emphasis on the relevance of Hamka’s tafsir in the modern context, as well as the functionalization of hadith in expressing the profound values of patience. The  Fiqh  of  Reject  Hadis  Group. Since  the  classic  time  up  to  nowdays,  the  Islamic fiqh form  always uses Qur’an and Hadis as normative sources. The appearance of community who denied the authority of Prophet Muhammad Saw. through his Hadis in deciding a law creates a new form in “fiqh” which is ephistemologically implies not only to the exixtance of a different Islam but also and odd Islamic fiqh. Epistemic Distortion in Qur’anic Interpretation: Hustle Culture and Digital Religious Narratives on Instagram

This study uses qualitative methods, combining textual and visual analyses, to investigate how Qur'anic verses are interpreted, manipulated, and circulated in frenzied cultural narratives on Instagram. This research focuses on the content of three Instagram accounts: @alqurancustomku, @lanternoflightofficial, and @ssheikh00, supported by secondary literature on Islamic epistemology and digital religion. The study finds that Qur’anic interpretations on these platforms often reflect selective reading and cherry-picking of verses that support entrepreneurial and motivational narratives, frequently detaching scriptural meaning from scholarly traditions. Authority over interpretation shifts from ulama to digital influencers, creating a fragmented epistemic environment that privileges virality over exegetical rigor. This research contributes to the growing field of digital religion by articulating how algorithm-driven content production facilitates new forms of textual reception, theological authority, and spiritual branding. It integrates insights from the theory of text reception and epistemic distortion to frame this trend as a reconfiguration of Qur’anic meaning under the pressures of digital capitalism. The findings call for greater literacy in Qur’anic hermeneutics within digital media spaces and encourage religious authorities, educators, and policymakers to develop guidelines for ethical and theologically sound online da'wah practice. This study focuses on a small number of Instagram accounts and does not fully explore platform-based variation (e.g., TikTok, YouTube) or broader demographic responses, such as youth and inter-sectarian interpretations. Beberapa di antaranya menggunakan ayat al-Qur’an untuk menampilkan sisi positif hustle culture, sementara yang lain menggunakan ayat al-Qur’an untuk menolak hustle culture karena dianggap bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana ayat-ayat al-Qur’an direfleksikan dalam konteks hustle culture di Instagram, dengan fokus pada bentuk pilihan ayat, pertimbangan makna ayat dan implikasi ayat dalam refleksi hustle culture. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis teks dan visual. Sumber data diperoleh dari unggahan akun Instagram @alqurancustomku, @lanternoflightofficial, dan @ssheikh00. Adapun sumber data sekunder diperoleh dari literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an dalam konteks hustle culture tidak selalu didasarkan oleh kajian tafsir yang mendalam, tetapi juga pada perubahan sosial yang berkembang di masyarakat. Islamic Feminists’ Rejection of the Textual Understanding of Misogynistic Hadiths for the Advancement of Gender Justice in Makassar, Indonesia

Islam is a religion that upholds the values of justice and equal rights between men and women, but the understanding of the Indonesian Muslim community is still wrong with the teachings of Islam. One of the reasons includes misunderstanding of misogynistic hadiths, namely hadiths that editorially seem to demean women. This study aims to explore Islamic feminists’ rejection of the textual understanding of misogynistic hadiths to uphold gender justice. This Islamic feminist stance needs to receive support so that gender justice is in line with Islamic law. This research uses empirical qualitative methods by analyzing the theory of understanding hadith and gender theory. The study obtained data from interviews and a literature review. The respondents interviewed were academics, NGO activists, and community leaders, while the literature included journal articles, books, and Islamic textbooks on Islamic law. The study took place in Makassar City, Indonesia from September 2022 to March 2023. Findings reveal that Islamic feminists in Makassar City criticize the textual interpretations of misogynistic hadiths as they demean women’s dignity and are not in accordance with the values of Islamic teachings. If analyzed from a gender perspective, Islamic feminists have played an important role in fighting for gender equality in a religious context. Meanwhile, in the context of hadith understanding theory, a contextual approach is needed to provide a comprehensive understanding of society so that gender justice is realized. The contribution of this study is that the Islamic feminist perspective that reviews misogynistic hadith through a contextual approach helps provide inspiration and direction for other efforts to encourage social change and gender justice
