A search is presented for a Higgs-like boson with mass in the range 45 to 195 GeV/c2 decaying into a muon and a tau lepton. The dataset consists of proton-proton interactions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV , collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb-1 . The tau leptons are reconstructed in both leptonic and hadronic decay channels. An upper limit on the production cross-section multiplied by the branching fraction at 95% confidence level is set and ranges from 22 pb for a boson mass of 45 GeV/c2 to 4 pb for a mass of 195 GeV/c2

- Field of study
A study of Bc+→K+K−π+ decays is performed for the first time
using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb−1
collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies
of 7 and 8 TeV. Evidence for the decay Bc+→χc0(→K+K−)π+
is reported with a significance of 4.0 standard deviations, resulting in the
measurement of
σ(B+)σ(Bc+)×B(Bc+→χc0π+) to
be (9.8−3.0+3.4(stat)±0.8(syst))×10−6.
Here B denotes a branching fraction while σ(Bc+) and
σ(B+) are the production cross-sections for Bc+ and B+ mesons.
An indication of bˉc weak annihilation is found for the region
m(K−π+)<1.834GeV/c2, with a significance of

A search for decays of B c + mesons to two charm mesons is performed for the first time using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0fb −1 , collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The decays considered are B c + →D (s) (⁎)+ D‾ (⁎)0 and B c + →D (s) (⁎)+ D (⁎)0 , which are normalised to high-yield B + →D (s) + D‾ 0 decays. No evidence for a signal is found and limits are set on twelve B c + decay modes

Measurements of CP observables in B0→DK∗0 decays are presented,
where D represents a superposition of D0 and Dˉ0 states. The D
meson is reconstructed in the two-body final states K+π−, π+K−,
K+K− and π+π−, and, for the first time, in the four-body final
states K+π−π+π−, π+K−π+π− and π+π−π+π−.
The analysis uses a sample of neutral B mesons produced in proton-proton
collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0, 2.0 and 1.8 fb−1 collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of
s= 7, 8 and 13 TeV, respectively. First observations of the decays
B0→D(π+K−)K∗0 and B0→D(π+π−π+π−)K∗0 are
obtained. The measured observables are interpreted in terms of the
CP-violating weak phase γ

Abstract: A search for CP violation in charmless four-body decays of Λb0 and Ξb0 baryons with a proton and three charged mesons in the final state is performed. To cancel out production and detection charge-asymmetry effects, the search is carried out by measuring the difference between the CP asymmetries in a charmless decay and in a decay with an intermediate charmed baryon with the same particles in the final state. The data sample used was recorded in 2011 and 2012 with the LHCb detector and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3fb-1. A total of 18 CP asymmetries are considered, either accounting for the full phase space of the decays or exploring specific regions of the decay kinematics. No significant CP-violation effect is observed in any of the measurements

The decay-time-dependent CP asymmetry in Bs0→J/ψK+K−
decays is measured using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an
integrated luminosity of 1.9fb−1, collected with the LHCb
detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV in 2015 and 2016.
Using a sample of approximately 117\,000 signal decays with an invariant K+K− mass in the vicinity of the ϕ(1020) resonance, the CP-violating
phase ϕs is measured, along with the difference in decay widths of the
light and heavy mass eigenstates of the Bs0-Bˉs0 system,
ΔΓs. The difference of the average Bs0 and B0 meson
decay widths, Γs−Γd, is determined using in addition a sample of
B0→J/ψK+π− decays. The values obtained are ϕs=−0.083±0.041±0.006rad, ΔΓs=0.077±0.008±0.003ps−1 and Γs−Γd=−0.0041±0.0024±0.0015ps−1, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the
second systematic. These are the most precise single measurements of these
quantities to date and are consistent with expectations based on the Standard
Model and with a previous LHCb analysis of this decay using data recorded at
centre-of-mass energies 7 and 8 TeV. Finally, the results are combined with
recent results from Bs0→J/ψπ+π− decays obtained using
the same dataset as this analysis, and with previous independent LHCb results

Using proton-proton collision data, collected with the LHCb detector and
corresponding to 1.0, 2.0 and 1.9fb−1 of integrated luminosity at the
centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, respectively, the decay
Λb0→χc1(3872)pK− with χc1→J/ψπ+π− is
observed for the first time. The significance of the observed signal is in
excess of seven standard deviations. It is found that (58±15)% of the
decays proceed via the two-body intermediate state
χc1(3872)Λ(1520). The~branching fraction with respect to that of
the Λb→ψ(2S)pK− decay mode, where the
ψ(2S)~meson is reconstructed in the J/ψπ+π− final state, is
measured to be: \begin{equation*}
\frac{\Lambda_b^0\to\chi_{c1}(3872)pK^-}{\Lambda_b\to\psi(2S)p K^-} \times
\frac{\mathcal{B}(\chi_{c1} \to J/\psi \pi^+\pi^-)}{\mathcal{B}(\psi(2S)\to
J/\psi \pi^+\pi^-)} = \left(5.4 \pm 1.1 \pm 0.2\right)\times 10^{-2}\,,
\end{equation*} where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is
systematic

Using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb−1, collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, the effective lifetime in the Bs0→J/ψη decay mode, τeff, is measured to be
τeff=1.479±0.034 (stat)±0.011 (syst) ps. Assuming CP conservation, τeff corresponds to the lifetime of the light Bs0 mass eigenstate. This is the first measurement of the effective lifetime in this decay mode
