Combined therapy of acute respiratory viral infections, including coronavirus infection, using a specialized mattress in the background
Background: Acute respiratory viruses are associated with lower respiratory tract diseases, providing an essential load on the public health system worldwide. Acute respiratory tract infections can be caused by many different viruses, and no approved vaccines or medicines exist for most of them. New approaches to respiratory infection treatment complement the molecular methods by focusing on improving the quality of daily life stages. One of the most important stages is sleep, which is associated with the overall organism restoration and, therefore, is critical to the recovery efficacy. We consider a specialized mattress with a bioactive vicuna cover as a facility improving the sleep quality and estimate its influence on the respiratory infection dynamics for patients under treatment by conventional medication.Methods: Data from 24 patients with the acute respiratory viral infection were collected in the 5 day period, during which they were treated with conventional medication and were sleeping either on the specialized mattresses or on regular mattresses. The patients were split into four groups depending on the mattress type and information that they had about that type, under the double-blind experiment setup. The data comprised the dynamics of several symptoms of the disease, including fever, headache, cough, mucosal hyperemia, and others.Results: Patients with the acute respiratory viral infection demonstrated faster recovery under conditions of sleeping on the specialized mattresses, as compared to the patients who were sleeping on regular mattresses. This difference in the recovery rate was observed for all considered symptoms of the disease, with the largest difference exhibited by nasal congestion (33% difference in the rate between the specialized and regular mattress groups), cough (25%), and rheum (25%). The control for the placebo effect did not reveal its essential influence for most symptoms.Conclusions: The specialized mattresses with the bioactive vicuna cover can effectively be used by patients with the acute respiratory viral infection in addition to conventional tools and medicine. Sleeping on these mattresses alleviate the dynamical state of patients with the disease and facilitates in relieving patients of the symptoms
The sleep quality of patients with insomnia under the influence of subtle energy fields
Background: The article evaluates the current state of insomnia treatment for patients without neurological, psychiatric, and somatic disorders. An important goal consists in developing non-drug therapies for insomnia, possessing no side effects. Following this research direction, we put a special emphasis on non-medicamental methods for correction of sleep disturbance in persons with psychophysiological insomnia.Methods: Authors propose a method of insomnia treatment in which patients sleep on the specialized Bio Velocity mattresses (the ‘activated mattress’ therapy). The conditions of patients before and after the treatment are assessed by clinical, psychophysiological, electroencephalographic methods, and by the Voll method, which studies the meridians of organs and systems, including the nervous system.Results: We show the effectiveness of the therapy by demonstrating improving psychological indicators, EEG data, and the Voll diagnostics data in a group of patients.Conclusions: The activated Bio Velocity mattresses can effectively be used by patients with the sleep disorders in addition to and, partially, as a replacement of conventional tools and medicine.
Discretization of a matrix in the problem of quadratic functional binary minimization
The capability of discretization of matrix elements in the problem of
quadratic functional minimization with linear member built on matrix in
N-dimensional configuration space with discrete coordinates is researched. It
is shown, that optimal procedure of replacement matrix elements by the integer
quantities with the limited number of gradations exist, and the efficient of
minimization does not reduce. Parameter depends on matrix properties, which
allows estimate the capability of using described procedure for given type of
matrix, is found. Computational complexities of algorithm and RAM requirements
are reduced by 16 times, correct using of integer elements allows increase

Breast state improvement by using the lymphatic drainage disposable bra pads
Background: The health and good esthetic conditions of the breast are important indicators of women’s life quality. One factor that negatively affects this quality is the breast ptosis, associated with the sagging of the mammary glands due to tissue stretching and the loss of tissue and skin elasticity. New tools and methods able to improve the shape and beautiful contour of the breast are highly desirable.Methods: We investigated how the disposable bra pads by BAE International Inc., having the lymphatic drainage effect for the breast, influenced the female breast state. We applied two methods, the ultrasound elasticity imaging and the pattern recognition of the nipples position, to monitor the breast state dynamics in two groups of females, the study and control ones.Results: Preliminary results showed that both the breast elasticity and the pattern of nipple positions improved for females wearing the bra pads as compared to females wearing regular bras without pads (P<0.05 for the difference between the two groups of females).Conclusions: Overall, the bra pads by BAE can be considered as an effective tool encouraging metabolism by improving the flow of blood circulation and lymph in the breast
Compliance of a rigid joint of a steel column of I-section on a rigid foundation
The article considers the compliance of a rigid assembly of a steel column of a typical I-section under the loads of an eccentric-compressive load with a random eccentricity. A simplified scheme of pinching a rigid hinge is considered as well as its detailed version in which the rigid part of the rod is elaborated as a basement, foundation plate, cross-arm and anchor bolts with plates. The authors carried out numerical studies of this site using a computer complex Abaqus 2017. Analysis of the results showed that the inclusion of compliance at a sufficiently accurate numerical simulation gives the same value for compressive forces. Thus, this node can be considered rigid, and the coefficient of buckling is almost equal to the theoretical value
Eigenfrequency spectrum of the reinforced concrete cantilever beam
For the calculation of building structures under the influence of external dynamic loads, it is necessary to know the eigen frequencies of the structures themselves in order to prevent such a phenomenon as resonance. Steel has distinctive properties from concrete, so its consideration is necessary to determine the eigen frequency of the whole structure. This article presents the calculation of the cantilever beam analytically and in the software package Abaqus for linear and volumetric problems with the interaction of concrete and reinforcement. Due to the reinforcement, the beam eigen frequencies differ from the eigen frequency of the conventional rigidly fixed rod, as evidenced by the results of the calculation
ОЦЕНКА СОСТАВЛЯЮЩИХ СОЦИАЛЬНОГО САМОЧУВСТВИЯ НАСЕЛЕНИЯ АРКТИЧЕСКОГО РЕГИОНА
In this study, the authors analyze the level of social well-being of residents of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, the whole of the Tyumen region and the average in Russia. Social well-being is calculated as the average of thrills challenges, dangers of social optimism (tactical and strategic), satisfaction with life in general. It is shown that social well-being of inhabitants of the Arctic region is not signifi cantly diff erent from the well-being of residents of neighboring, more southern districts (the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, south of the Tyumen region). In this study is shown the factorial structure of social well-being, as well as its dynamics over the eight years of observations.Проводится анализ уровня социального самочувствия жителей Ямало-Ненецкого автономного округа, всей Тюменской области, всреднем по России. Социальное самочувствие вычисляется как среднее от остроты ощущения проблем-опасностей, социального оптимизма (тактического и стратегического), удовлетворенности жизнью в целом. Показано, что социальное самочувствие жителей арктического региона существенно не отличается от самочувствия жителей соседних, более южных округов (ХМАО, юг Тюменской области). Показана факторная структура социального самочувствия, его динамика за восемь лет наблюдений

Влияние анксиолитика фабомотизола на временные параметры деполяризации предсердий в острейшую фазу инфаркта миокарда
The aim of the work is to study the effect of the anxiolytic fabomotizole (15 mg/kg, i.v.) on atrial depolarization in the acute phase of myocardial infarction using the method of synchronous multichannel cardioelectrochronotopography. Synchronous multichannel cardioelectrochronotopography was used to study the sequence of depolarization of the atrial epicardium in outbred rats during the acute phase of myocardial infarction caused by ligation of the anterior branch of the left coronary artery with simultaneous administration of the σ1-receptor agonist fabomotizole. Significant differences in the temporal characteristics of atrial depolarization in the acute phase of myocardial infarction were revealed in control animals and animals treated with fabomotizol. In rats against the background of fabomotizol, changes in the time of the onset of epicardial depolarization, the transition of the excitation wave from the right to the left atrium, and the end of depolarization, compared with the initial state, occur by the 5th minute after the ligation of the coronary vessel; in the process of further development of acute myocardial infarction, changes in time parameters are not observed .In animals of the control group, changes in the time parameters of atrial depolarization after coronary vessel ligation develop by 10 minutes after ligation and continue to change as acute myocardial infarction develops. Anxiolytic fabomotizol in the most acute phase of myocardial infarction changes the time parameters of atrial depolarization, preventing the development of atrial fibrillation.Цель работы – изучение методом синхронной многоканальной кардиоэлектрохронотопографии влияния анксиолитика фабомотизола (15 мг/кг, в/в) на деполяризацию предсердий в острейшую фазу инфаркта миокарда. Методом синхронной многоканальной кардиоэлектрохронотопографии исследована последовательность деполяризации эпикарда предсердий беспородных крыс в острейшую фазу инфаркта миокарда, вызванного перевязкой передней ветви левой коронарной артерии при одновременном введении агониста σ1-рецепторов фабомотизола. Выявлены существенные различия временных характеристик деполяризации предсердий в острейшую фазу инфаркта миокарда у контрольных животных и животных, получивших фабомотизол. У крыс на фоне фабомотизола изменения времени начала деполяризации эпикарда, перехода волны возбуждения от правого к левому предсердию и окончания деполяризации по сравнению с исходным состоянием происходят к 5-й минуте после перевязки коронарного сосуда, в процессе дальнейшего развития острого инфаркта миокарда изменения временных параметров не наблюдаются. У животных контрольной группы изменения временных параметров деполяризации предсердий после перевязки коронарного сосуда развиваются к 10-й минуте после перевязки и продолжают изменяться по мере развития острого инфаркта миокарда. Анксиолитик фабомотизол в острейшей фазе инфаркта миокарда изменяет временные параметры деполяризации предсердий, предотвращая развитие фибрилляции предсердий
