New variables for brane-world gravity
Geometric variables naturally occurring in a time-like foliation of
brane-worlds are introduced. These consist of the induced metric and two sets
of lapse functions and shift vectors, supplemented by two sets of tensorial,
vectorial and scalar variables arising as projections of the two extrinsic
curvatures. A subset of these variables turn out to be dynamical. Brane-world
gravitational dynamics is given as the time evolution of these variables.Comment: 6 pages, to appear in the Proceedings of the Albert Einstein's

Accretion processes in magnetically and tidally perturbed Schwarzschild black holes
We study the accretion process in the region of the Preston-Poisson
space-time describing a Schwarzschild black hole perturbed by asymptotically
uniform magnetic field and axisymmetric tidal structures. We find that the
accretion disk shrinks and the marginally stable orbit shifts towards the black
hole with the perturbation. The radiation intensity of the accretion disk
increases, while the radius where radiation is maximal remains unchanged. The
spectrum is blue-shifted. Finally, the conversion efficiency of accreting mass
into radiation is decreased by both the magnetic and the tidal perturbations.Comment: to be published in Phys. Rev. D, 13 pages, 7 figures, 1 tabl
Beszámoló a X. Pedagógiai Értékelési Konferenciáról
A kulcsszavak vizsgálatával körvonalazzuk, mely területek voltak a konferencián hangsúlyosak. Ennek megfelelően választottunk ki, a plenáris előadásokon felül, néhány prezentációt, amelyeket röviden bemutatunk, ezzel érzékeltetve a konferencia gazdagságát és szakmai színvonalát
Examining some fields within human resources management
Human resources management is one of the management functions, dealing with people as the essential resource of the
organization. This function aims at the most efficient usage of employees in order to realize both organizational and individual goals.
Nowadays high significance is attributed to human resources management, since the human factor is the resource that determines the success
of an organization. The results of a company are in proportion with the knowledge and talent of the people on its payroll. Human talent and
knowledge can be utilized to the greatest extent in case management is able to motivate employees to meet not only the necessary
requirements but also to achieve the highest possible results.
Human resources management consists of several fields of activities, among which the following are the most important: analysis,
planning and assessment of the scope of activities, human resources planning, workforce supply, performance assessment, motivation,
developing human resources, labour relations, labour safety, HEM information system.
Our studies cover a few fields within human resources management. Our research has been carried out at organizations in Hajdú-Bihar
County. The study is based on questionnaires, which have been processed by computers and evaluated using statistical methods
