Czech Republic contribution to reconstruction and development in Afghanistan, the process analysis and results

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na přínos České republiky k obnově a rozvoji Afghánistánu. Analyzuje českou rozvojovou pomoc v této válkou zničené zemi po svržení vlády Tálibánu (od roku 2002). Jedním z nástrojů české rozvojové pomoci v Afghánistánu byly projekty provinčního rekonstrukčního týmu v provincii Lógar (v letech 2008 ? 2013). Dlouhodobým nástrojem české rozvojové pomoci jsou rozvojové projekty v gesci České rozvojové agentury realizované mimo jiné neziskovou organizací Člověk v tísni. Práce analyzuje postupy a metody těchto rekonstrukčních a rozvojových projektů. Hodnotí, zda byla většina projektů řádně ukončena a předána do užívání. V práci je provedena komparace českého, maďarského a norského PRT. Srovnání je provedeno na základě předem stanovených ukazatelů a vypočítaných hodnot pro reálné porovnání a vyhodnocení, zda české PRT vynakládalo úsilí pro obnovu a rozvoj Afghánistánu srovnatelné s maďarským a norským PRT.The thesis is focused on the contribution of the Czech Republic to reconstruction and development in Afghanistan. This work analyses the Czech development assistance to the war-devastated country after the overthrow of the Taliban regime (since 2002). The provincial reconstruction team in the province of Logar (2008 ? 2013) was one of the Czech development assistance in Afghanistan. Development projects in the responsibility of the Czech Development Agency, which are among others implemented by the non-profit organization called People in need, are a long-term instrument of the Czech development assistance. The thesis analyzes process and methods of these reconstruction and developing projects. It evaluates whether the most of the projects were properly finished and put into the use. The study includes the comparison of the Czech, Hungarian and Norwegian PRT. The comparison is made based on predetermined indicators and calculated values to get a realistic comparison and evaluation whether the Czech PRT made every effort comparable to the Hungarian and Norwegian PRT to reconstruct and develop Afghanistan

Proposal for Project and Application of Project Management Methodology in the Company

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na praktické využití metod a nástrojů projektového managementu ve vybrané společnosti. V úvodní části této práce jsou popsány teoretické poznatky dané problematiky, které zahrnují fázi předprojektovou, projektovou a poprojektovou. Následuje část zabývající se analýzou současného stavu, která vysvětluje vznik projektu a oblasti jeho implementace. Na závěr je na základě těchto výstupů a specifik vytvořen samotný návrh řešení projektu.The diploma thesis focuses on the practical use of project management methods and tools in a selected company. The introductory part of this work describes the theoretical knowledge of the issue, which includes the pre-project, project and post-project phases. Following is the analysis of the current state, which explains the emergence of the project and its implementation in the company. In conclusion, based on these outputs and specifics, the project solution itself is emergenced.

Prague Municipal Clerks 1900-1950

Veronika Knotková, Prague Municipal Clerks 1900-1950 Abstract This work, based mainly on primary resources, deals with the issues of bureaucracy, i.e. with the elite group of officials/clerks of the legal category of the Prague Municipal Office in the first half of the 20th century. During this relatively long period, Prague reached a position of modern capital of a new state, Czechoslovakia, and one of Central European metropolises. The core of the thesis lays in explaining principles of functioning of the municipal bureaucracy, the development of its position, the course of its career and the factors that influenced them. Attention is paid to the mutual relations within this group and both to their individual and group strategies, with regard to other municipal officials of other than juristic previous university education within the Prague municipal office as well as to the relations of officials and representatives of municipal administration. It shows how the disciplinary rules were applied. Adequate attention is paid to the relationship/interventions of state administration into the self-government sphere.Veronika Knotková, Úředníci pražského magistrátu 1900-1950 Abstrakt Práce, založená zejména na primárních pramenech, se věnuje problematice byrokracie, konkrétně elitní skupině úředníků právnické kategorie pražského magistrátu v první polovině 20. století. Toto relativně dlouhé období, kdy je dovršen vývoj Prahy z provinčního hlavního města ke středoevropské moderní metropoli, je vysvětlen princip fungování municipální byrokracie, vývoj jejího postavení, průběh kariéry a faktory, které je ovlivňovaly. Pozornost je věnována vzájemným vztahům uvnitř této skupiny, jejich individuálním i skupinovým strategiím vzhledem k ostatním kategoriím pražských magistrátních úředníků a vztahům úředníků a představitelů obecní správy. Je ukázáno, jak byla uplatňována disciplinační pravidla. The Use of Methods of the Project Management in Company

Bakalářská práce se zabývá projektovým managementem ve vybrané společnosti a následné implementaci zvolených metod a nástrojů, které hodnotí projekt z hlediska jeho předprojektové, projektové a poprojektové fáze. Do obsahu tohoto členění je zahrnuto stanovení cíle, logický rámec, zahájení, plánování, realizace, ukončení, hodnocení výstupů a zpracování návrhů. Použité metody a nástroje jsou teoreticky popsány a poté prakticky využity v analýze současného stavu a návrzích vlastního řešení.The bachelor thesis deals with project management in a selected company and subsequent implementation of chosen methods and tools that evaluate the project in terms of it spre project, project and post-project phase. The content of this breakdown includes target goal, logical framework, initiation, planning, implementation, project closeout, output evaluation and proposal processing. The methods and tools are theoretically described and then practically used in the analysis of the current state and the design of the solution.

Irish Neutrality in the Context of European Integration

Práce se věnovala tématu irské neutrality v kontextu evropské integrace a potvrdila hypotézu, že Irsko se do procesů evropské integrace zapojilo ve 21.století pouze takovým způsobem, který neohrožoval jeho politiku neutrality. Hlavní část práce se soustředí na tři konkrétní události, a to schvalování Lisabonské smlouvy, Smlouvy z Nice a Stálé strukturované spolupráce (PESCO). Jsou to tři nejzásadnější momenty evropské integrace 21.století, při kterých výrazně figurovala otázka irské neutrality. Na těchto případech práce dokazovala, že irské zapojení do evropských integračních struktur proběhlo v souladu s irskou politikou neutrality a bez jejího ohrožení. Strach o neutralitu plyne z hlubší spolupráce EU v oblasti SZBP a obav z vytvoření evropské armády, což se ukázalo ve všech sledovaných případech. Smlouvu z Nice Irové na první pokus neschválili a od irské vlády i ostatních členských států si vyžádaly potvrzení o tom, že Smlouva z Nice skutečně neohrožuje a neovlivňuje irskou politiku neutrality. Až poté ji v druhém referendu přijali. Podobný případ nastal i u Lisabonské smlouvy, která byla také schválen až ve druhém referendu poté, co Irsku bylo garantováno zachování neutrality prostřednictvím Irských záruk. Přijetí PESCO neprobíhalo formou referenda, ale zakládající dokumenty také obsahují...The thesis deals with the topic of Irish neutrality in the context of European integration and verifies the statement that Ireland participated in the processes of European integration in the 21st century only in a way that did not threaten its neutrality. The main part of the thesis focuses on three specific events, specifically the approval of the Lisbon Treaty, the Treaty of Nice and Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO). These are the three most crucial moments of the 21st century European integration, which involved the issue of Irish neutrality. The thesis uses these three cases to prove that Ireland's involvement in the European integration architecture was in line with Irish political neutrality and without posing any threat to it. Worries about neutrality in Ireland result from EU cooperation in the area of CFSP and concerns about the creation of a European army, searching in all the monitored ways. The Treaty of Nice was not approved in the first referendum and the public sought confirmation that the Treaty of Nice will not threat or affect Irish policy of neutrality from both Irish Government and other Member States. Only then did they accept the Treaty in the second referendum.
