Radio Broadcasting Experience and Development Prospects (European Scientific Dialogue)
The paper presents an analysis of various opinions concerning radio-industry development issues, given new IT processes implemented in mass media. The authors study the technological evolution of radio broadcasting in terms of analyzing its main development stages. They provide an assessment of listeners’ high confidence in radio broadcasts as compared to other mass media sources. Focus is placed on promoting sonic brands in the sphere of media-communication. The researchers also pay special attention to podcasting as a new way to listen to audio-content. The advantages and possible consequences of podcasting influence on radio-industry are assessed. The research is based on the expert discussion on radio broadcasting issues which took place at “Radiodays Europe 2019”
Convergência organizacional como a tendência do desenvolvimento moderno de mídia de mass
Convergence is а key problem of modern mass media development. It mediates changes in content policy, media products distribution, and economic activity of media. Organizational convergence is one of the types of this phenomenon. It acts to make structural changes both in the media market and within a certain media. The purpose of such changes is to expand the influence of the media on the media market, to reduce the cost of its maintenance and development, and to expand social audience by transmedia distributing of the content. The article is devoted to the problems of understanding the phenomenon of organizational convergence as one of the types of convergence in the modern media environment. It also studies the main ways of building new forms of media organization.La convergencia es un problema clave del desarrollo moderno de los medios de comunicación. Electrospun Produced 3D Matrices for Covering of Vascular Stents:Paclitaxel Release Depending on Fiber Structure and Composition of the External Environment
Paclitaxel is a natural, highly lipophilic anti proliferative drug widely used in medicine. We have studied the release of tritium-labeled paclitaxel (3H-PTX) from matrices destined for the coating of vascular stents and produced by the electrospinning method from the solutions of polycaprolactone (PCL) with paclitaxel (PTX) in hexafluoisopropanol (HFIP) and/or solutions of PCL with PTX and human serum albumin (HSA) in HFIP or HIFP-dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) blend. The release of PTX has been shown to depend on the composition of electrospinning solution, as well as the surrounding medium, particularly the concentration of free PTX and PTX-binding biomolecules present in human serum. It was shown that 3D matrices can completely release PTX without weight loss. Two-phase PTX release from optimized 3D matrices was obtained: ~27% of PTX was released in the first day, another 8% were released over the next 26 days. Wherein ~2.8%, ~2.3%, and ~0.25% of PTX was released on day 3, 9, and 27, respectively. Considering PTX toxicity, the rate of its diffusion through the arterial wall, and the data obtained the minimum cytostatic dose of the drug in the arterial wall will be maintained for at least three months. © 2018 by the authors
Omecamtiv mecarbil in chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, GALACTIC‐HF: baseline characteristics and comparison with contemporary clinical trials
Aims:
The safety and efficacy of the novel selective cardiac myosin activator, omecamtiv mecarbil, in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) is tested in the Global Approach to Lowering Adverse Cardiac outcomes Through Improving Contractility in Heart Failure (GALACTIC‐HF) trial. Here we describe the baseline characteristics of participants in GALACTIC‐HF and how these compare with other contemporary trials.
Methods and Results:
Adults with established HFrEF, New York Heart Association functional class (NYHA) ≥ II, EF ≤35%, elevated natriuretic peptides and either current hospitalization for HF or history of hospitalization/ emergency department visit for HF within a year were randomized to either placebo or omecamtiv mecarbil (pharmacokinetic‐guided dosing: 25, 37.5 or 50 mg bid). 8256 patients [male (79%), non‐white (22%), mean age 65 years] were enrolled with a mean EF 27%, ischemic etiology in 54%, NYHA II 53% and III/IV 47%, and median NT‐proBNP 1971 pg/mL. HF therapies at baseline were among the most effectively employed in contemporary HF trials. GALACTIC‐HF randomized patients representative of recent HF registries and trials with substantial numbers of patients also having characteristics understudied in previous trials including more from North America (n = 1386), enrolled as inpatients (n = 2084), systolic blood pressure < 100 mmHg (n = 1127), estimated glomerular filtration rate < 30 mL/min/1.73 m2 (n = 528), and treated with sacubitril‐valsartan at baseline (n = 1594).
Conclusions:
GALACTIC‐HF enrolled a well‐treated, high‐risk population from both inpatient and outpatient settings, which will provide a definitive evaluation of the efficacy and safety of this novel therapy, as well as informing its potential future implementation
ACTUAL MENTAL STATE OF STUDENTS IN PROCESS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES
The transformation of the education system is taking place in modern Russia. There is a transition to a flexible learning system, adapted to the educational needs of every person with any age, cultural, linguistic affiliation. Practical training disciplines are becoming increasingly important. Academic disciplines that form universal competencies are transferred to online learning. Physical Education is such disciplines. All theoretical training is translated online, and the share of classes in the gym is minimized. The purpose of this pilot study is to identify the actual mental state of students in the gym in the conditions of using game and competitive methods. In addition, an important task is to compare the well-being, activity and mood of students studying physical education in the gym and online. An adapted version of the Dembo-Rubinstein technique was used to diagnose such indicators of the current mental state as well-being, activity and mood. The dynamics of these indicators in the conditions of employment in the gym using game and competitive methods was studied using a formative experiment. It was established that real classes in the gym have a positive effect on the actual mental state of students. Most students have improved health, mood, and increased activity. At the same time, classes using the game method, in contrast to classes using the competitive method, are much more effective for activating students and improving their mood. Comparison of indicators of the actual mental state of students in real classes in the gym and online showed that classes in the gym are able to more effectively influence the mood and activity of students.
