A Java implementation of Coordination Rules as ECA Rules
This paper gives an insight in to the design and implementation of the coordination rules as ECA rules. The language specifications of the ECA rules were designed and the corresponding implementation of the same using JAVA as been partially done. The paper also hints about the future work in this area which deals with embedding this code in JXTA, thus enabling to form a P2P layer with JXTA as the back bone
Liouville numbers, Liouville sets and Liouville fields
Following earlier work by E.Maillet 100 years ago, we introduce the
definition of a Liouville set, which extends the definition of a Liouville
number. We also define a Liouville field, which is a field generated by a
Liouville set. Any Liouville number belongs to a Liouville set S having the
power of continuum and such that the union of S with the rational number field
is a Liouville field.Comment: Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society, to appea
Liouville Numbers and Schanuel's Conjecture
In this paper, using an argument of P. Erdos, K. Alniacik and E. Saias, we
extend earlier results on Liouville numbers, due to P. Erdos, G.J. Rieger, W.
Schwarz, K. Alniacik, E. Saias, E.B. Burger. We also produce new results of
algebraic independence related with Liouville numbers and Schanuel's
Conjecture, in the framework of G delta-subsets.Comment: Archiv der Math., to appea
SAMPLING AND ANALYSISING OF DISSOLVED OXYGEN IN WATER SAMPLES COLLECTED AT SUNDARAPURAM IN COIMBATORE DISTRICT
Maintenance of dissolved oxygen at saturated level will help the growth and reproduction of normal population of fish and other aquatic organisms1,2. Due to increase of industries, it is necessary to monitor the DO level of water resources. This will help us to understand the present condition of water at various resources that are connected to the industries. In this study the water is collected from various resources around Sundarapuram in coimbatore district and they were subjected to dissolved oxygen study. The DO results of various samples were compared with DO of demineralised water which is taken as reference. Parameters such as temperature, hardness and aeration time that will affect the saturation level of DO are also discussed 6,7,8.Â
EQUILIBRIUM AND KINETIC STUDY OF ADSORPTION OF NICKEL FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION ONTO BAEL TREE LEAF POWDER
The ability of bael tree (BT) leaf powder to adsorb nickel, Ni2+, from aqueous solutions has been investigated through batch experiments. The Ni2+ adsorption was found to be dependent on adsorbent dosage, initial concentration and contact time. All batch experiments were carried out at natural solution pH and at a constant temperature of 30°C using wrist-action shaker that operated at 120 rpm. The experimental isotherm data were analyzed using the Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin equations. The monolayer adsorption capacity is 1.527 mg Ni per g BT leaf powder. The experiments showed that highest removal rate was 60.21% for Ni2+ under optimal conditions. The kinetic processes of Ni2+ adsorption on BT leaf powder were described by applying pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order rate equations. The kinetic data for the adsorption process obeyed pseudo-second-order rate equations. The BT leaf powder investigated in this study exhibited a high potential for the removal of Ni2+ from aqueous solution
Modelling and Analysis of Real Time Power System With Cascaded Multilevel STATCOM Using Fuzzy Controller
Electric Power is a major concern that has generated more importance in electrical utilities and consumers. To assure a reliable and quality power system, all the bus are expected to maintain steady acceptable voltage before and after being subjected to any disturbance. Among the FACTs devices a static synchronous compensator(STATCOM) is analyzed to provide a reliable and feasible solution. The STATCOM has been developed using cascaded multilevel converter. A FUZZY based controller for Cascaded Multilevel STATCOM is developed which produces improved performance. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of CMC based STATCOM with fuzzy controller in real time power system concerning the problem of variable loading and losses. A real time substation with 20 bus are analyzed with power flow analysis with and without STATCOM. Without the connection of STATCOM, a observable changes in the system voltage, line flows and losses are in system behaviour. But this influences the quality of grid and hence the customers are affected badly, indicating the need of power flow analysis and location of STATCOM on the system to improve the voltage profile. It is demonstrated that the described model works to an excellent level in improving the substation performance
Trust Management for Secure Routing Forwarding Data Using Delay Tolerant Networks
Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) have established the connection to source and destination. For example this often faces disconnection and unreliable wireless connections. A delay tolerant network (DTNs) provides a network imposes disruption or delay. The delay tolerant networks operate in limited resources such as memory size, central processing unit. Trust management protocol uses a dynamic threshold updating which overcomes the problems .The dynamic threshold update reduces the false detection probability of the malicious nodes. The system proposes a secure routing management schemes to adopt information security principles successfully. It analyzes the basic security principles and operations for trust authentication which is applicable in delay tolerant networks (DTNs).For security the proposed system identifies the store and forward approach in network communications and analyzes the routing in cases like selfish contact and collaboration contact methods. The proposed method identifies ZRP protocol scheme and it enhances the scheme using methods namely distributed operation, mobility, delay analysis, security association and trust modules. This security scheme analyzes the performance analysis and proposed algorithm based on parameter time, authentication, security, and secure routing. From this analysis, this research work identifies the issues in DTNs secure routing and enhances ZRP (Zone Routing Protocol) by suggesting an authentication principle as a noted security principle for extremely information security concepts
A STUDY ON HYPERPHOSPHATEMIA AND EFFECT OF SEVELAMER ON CARDIAC ENZYME LEVELS IN CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE PATIENTS
Objective: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is characterized by progressive loss of kidney function over a period of time. Sevelamer hydrochloride is a phosphate binding agent used to control serum phosphate levels in End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients with hyperphosphatemia. Since hyperphosphatemia is associated with acute myocyte injury and elevation of cardiac biomarkers. ESRD patients treated with sevelamer hydrochloride display reduced cardiac biomarker levels due to a decrease in serum phosphate. Therefore, the study was designed to evaluate the effect of sevelamer hydrochloride on cardiac enzyme levels. Methods: This retrospective observational study was carried out in the nephrology department of a multispecialty hospital for a period of two months. Clinical and biochemistry reports of 30 ESRD patients were collected in designed case report forms. All statistical analysis was carried out using International Business Machines-Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 17 (IBM SPSS 17) Statistics package. Results: No significant difference in cardiac enzymes between sevelamer-treated and untreated groups was observed. Hence, further prospective studies on sevelamer hydrochloride are necessary to determine their activity in preventing hyperphosphatemia-induced acute myocyte injury. Conclusion: A direct correlation was observed between cardiac enzyme markers and phosphate levels. However, sevelamer at conventional doses was not found to be effective in reducing acute cardiomyocytes injury caused by hyperphosphatemia. Hence, higher doses sevelamer or other modalities achieving normal serum phosphorous levels are necessary for preventing cardiac damage due to hyperphosphatemia in ESRD patients. Keywords: ESRD, Hyperphosphatemia, Sevelamer, Cardiomyocytes injury
