Simbol untuk Menunjang Sistem Informasi Desain Kemasan Makanan dan Minuman Plastik

The use of plastic as packaging food and beverages has increased along with the development of technological and cultural changes in society. But this change has not been followed by an adequate understanding of the various types of plastic and usefulness. Symbols and information system on packaging become important information for consumer and visual communication designer. Based on field research, literature research and desktop research, the author summarizes that the information in the form of significant symbols are important to be put on the design of plastic packaging for food or beverage. During this time, several foods and beverages in plastic packaging have included the plastic code. But generally consumers do not have enough knowledge about these codes. This is where the role of visual communication designers becomes an important. Symbols and information systems which prepared in well design will be more easily to understand. With easily understandable symbol and information systems, consumer certainly would be wiser to choose and avoid the negative impact during the bad use of food and beverage plastics packaging

Information Systems Design of Tourist Attraction in Bandar Lampung City

Tourism is one of the selling point that Bandar Lampung City has. The information about the location of tourist attraction and the supporting facility was given in booklet and tourism map. The information distribution through those media haven't use the technology that appropriate to the current development. Some research methods were used in this research such as, data collection methods and system design methods. The data collection methods were done in several ways such as interview with the respondents, literature study and observation. The system design methods use UML (Unified Modelling Language). The output from this research is a design of geographic information system that interactive with the user and able to attract the tourist attention to visit Bandar Lampung City and the tourist attraction. With this design hopefully can bring more information about a tourist attraction in Bandar Lampung City and gain more tourist to visit Bandar Lampung City. Validation of multi-machine and single-machine equivalent models for wind farm transient stability studies

    Get PDF
Stability study of power system with wind farm is challenging task due to collection of system data, computation burden in case of system order and long simulation time. An aggregated representation of fixed speed wind turbine generator (WTG) is proposed for an actual wind farm which is a part of the Indian utility system. The stability study of actual system and equivalent system are simulated in MATLAB software package. Multi-machine and single-machine equivalent wind farm models are developed based on simple aggregation technique. The transient stability responses of these two equivalent wind farm models that are compared with actual wind farm system at point of common coupling (PCC). The two equivalent wind farm models response provides a satisfactory accuracy with actual system response for the three phase fault and varying wind speed. Also equivalent wind farm model responses are validated with actual system response for different dynamic conditions.Â

Background: Surgical site infections are among the most common hospital acquired infections. They make upto 14-16% of inpatient infections. Objective of present study was to evaluate the risk factors associated with surgical site infections and the bacteria causing wound infections in obstetric operations and the antibiotic sensitivity and resistance pattern of the pathogens isolated. Methods: 100 women with wound infection during hospital stay or within 30 days following surgery. Pus samples were collected from the wound site with help of sterile swabs under aseptic precautions and immediately transported to microbiology laboratory for culture and sensitivity. Results: Most of the patients belonged to the age group of 21-25 years, contributing to 55% of the cases. Majority of the women are from rural areas (71%). 57% of the cases were unbooked. 90% of the SSI were seen in emergency surgeries. Anaemia (48%) was the most common medical risk factor followed by hypertensive disorders 25%. The risk of post operative infection has been shown to be proportional to volume of blood loss during cesarean section and duration of surgery. Staphylococcus aureus to be predominant organism of wound infection of which 21% were MRSA followed by Klebsiella and E.coli. The gram negative isolates were 100% resistant to ampicillin followed by 22.5% to third generation cephalosporins and aminoglycosides. Conclusions: Proper assessment of risk factors that predispose to SSI is critical for the development of strategies for reducing the incidence of SSI and for identifying high risk patients requiring intensive postoperative surveillance.
