When is Reputation Bad?
In traditional reputation theory, reputation is good for the long-run player. In “Bad Reputation,” Ely and Valimaki give an example in which reputation is unambiguously bad. This paper characterizes a more general class of games in which that insight holds, and presents some examples to illustrate when the bad reputation effect does and does not play a role. The key properties are that participation is optional for the short-run players, and that every action of the long-run player that makes the short-run players want to participate has a chance of being interpreted as a signal that the long-run player is “bad. ” We also broaden the set of commitment types, allowing many types, including the “Stackelberg type” used to prove positive results on reputation. Although reputation need not be bad if the probability of the Stackelberg type is too high, the relative probability of the Stackelberg type can be high when all commitment types are unlikely.

EFFECT OF VERBAL AND VISUAL FEEDBACK ON PEAK TORQUE DURING A KNEE JOINT ISOKINETIC TEST
The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of verbal and visual feedback on peak torque in male subjects. Thirty male subjects were tested on four separate occasions by executing a knee flexion/extension isokinetic set of four maximal repetitions, at velocities of 60, 120, 180, 240 and 300 deg/sec with a 60 second rest between each velocity set. The velocity order was randomized and visual and verbal feedback to subjects was randomly assigned. A 2 X 5 repeated measures ANOVA was used to analyze the data with α < 0.05. There were no significant differences in peak torque regardless of the presence or absence of feedback. The conclusion of this study was that feedback does not increase peak torque during concentric isokinetic testing

The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is influence of transformational leadership, job satisfaction, procedural fairness to employee performance with moderation variable that is Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Source of data is primer using the questionnaire taken on the object of research of Bank Syariah Batam with the number of samples as much as 150 respondents of Bank Syariah employees. The research used quantitative descriptive analysis and processed data with SPSS 22 that is regression analysis and path analysis. The results show that there is a positive influence of transformational leadership, job satisfaction, procedural justice on employee performance. Transformational leadership, job satisfaction affects OCB, but procedural justice has no effect on OCB. OCB mediates transformational leadership on employee performance, OCB also mediates job satisfaction on employee performance, but OCB does not mediate procedural justic
Just how hot are the Centauri extreme horizontal branch pulsators?
Past studies based on optical spectroscopy suggest that the five Cen
pulsators form a rather homogeneous group of hydrogen-rich subdwarf O stars
with effective temperatures of around 50 000 K. This places the stars below the
red edge of the theoretical instability strip in the log Teff diagram,
where no pulsation modes are predicted to be excited. Our goal is to determine
whether this temperature discrepancy is real, or whether the stars' effective
temperatures were simply underestimated. We present a spectral analysis of two
rapidly pulsating extreme horizontal branch (EHB) stars found in Cen.
We obtained Hubble Space Telescope/COS UV spectra of two Cen
pulsators, V1 and V5, and used the ionisation equilibrium of UV metallic lines
to better constrain their effective temperatures. As a by-product we also
obtained FUV lightcurves of the two pulsators. Using the relative strength of
the N IV and N V lines as a temperature indicator yields Teff values close to
60 000 K, significantly hotter than the temperatures previously derived. From
the FUV light curves we were able to confirm the main pulsation periods known
from optical data. With the UV spectra indicating higher effective temperatures
than previously assumed, the sdO stars would now be found within the predicted
instability strip. Such higher temperatures also provide consistent
spectroscopic masses for both the cool and hot EHB stars of our previously
