    Neuropsychological analysis of anxiety and executive control of motor patterns in athletes and non-athletes.

    Introduction: Even simple tapping tasks require cognitive processes. Some variants of the Finger Tapping Test (FTT) may reveal cognitive aspects associated with frontal processing, including executive functions such as inhibition, or emotional aspects such as anxiety. A context of particular interest for the application of cognitive-motor-anxiety interactions is sports. Although athletes generally exhibit better anxiety levels, they may experience heightened anxiety before important competitions. The problem lies in determining whether the application of anxiety control techniques can be useful in pre-competition situations, given the lack of quick and easy methods to detect if an athlete is experiencing anxiety at a particular moment. Methods: This exploratory study evaluated anxiety using online versions of questionnaires (ISRA, the Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2, and STAI) and applied a variant of the FTT to 204 participants, both athletes and non-athletes. The scores were compared and correlated. Results: Athletes exhibited lower general anxiety and greater cognitive resistance to interference (better cognitive inhibition). Non-athletes displayed a particular parameter in the FTT variant that differed from the one obtained by athletes and exhibited higher anxiety levels. In the athletes’ group only, anxiety was correlated with a specific parameter of the FTT task. Discussion: Our conclusion is that this parameter holds potential relevance in elite sports performance to detect if an athlete is experiencing anxiety. It could be of particular interest in psychological interventions in sports. Further investigation is warranted to fully explore this potential

    El desarrollo de una sociedad cada vez más tecnológica y unos ciudadanos con mayor necesidad de interactuar a través de las TIC (Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación) está llevando a la comunidad científica a replantearse la forma de gestionar su trabajo y los medios para acceder a la investigación y a los sujetos investigados. Desde este planteamiento, el uso de plataformas virtuales para la evaluación e investigación facilita tanto el acceso de los individuos como la labor de los investigadores. En este documento presentamos la plataforma “MenPas”, desarrollada especialmente para el campo de la Psicología aunque abierta a otras disciplinas, en la que se desarrollan evaluaciones e investigaciones relativas a los diferentes cuestionarios y aplicaciones implementadas en la misma.     Background. To date, there is no customer service system that does not involve information and computer systems. One of the most important issues in ensuring the reliability and reliability of such systems is the task of dynamic scaling and providing the required amount of computing resources at any time. This study was focused on the planning and deployment of computing infrastructure that is able to respond to significantly increased volumes of request flows, changes in the dynamics of load intensity, strict requirements for the quality of their service, etc. Objective. The purpose of the paper is to create a concept of virtual computing space to meet the needs of distributed customer service system, which takes into account the peculiarities of service, the computing node load nature, service quality requirements, and provides energy efficient. Developed models, methods will control the performance of distributed computing infrastructure and flow maintenance processes, reduce downtime of computing resources and provide services to end users at a given level of quality. Methods. Analysis of the operation of the node load assessment mechanism, which consists in a dynamic change in the intensity of control of the state of function nodes, showed the effectiveness of planning for a group of computing nodes.. Results. The proposed approach to managing a heterogeneous computation environment to improve the efficiency of the service maintenance process in new generation systems is a unified solution for highly loaded distributed systems. The developed concept made it possible to avoid a decrease in the quality of service during surges of congestion and to maintain the indicators of the quality of service at a given level, provided that the resource utilization ratio is kept within the given limits Conclusions. In summary, a mathematical model of the problem of determining the maximum allowable load volume with a QoS level guarantee for a service node in a heterogeneous telecommunications environment was proposed.Проблематика. На сьогоднішній день не існує жодної системи обслуговування клієнтів, яка б не включала інформаційно-обчислювальні системи. Одним із найважливіших питань забезпечення надійності таких систем є завдання динамічного масштабування та забезпечення необхідного обсягу обчислювальних ресурсів у будь-який момент часу. Дане дослідження було зосереджено на плануванні та розгортанні обчислювальної інфраструктури, здатної реагувати на значно збільшені обсяги потоків запитів, зміни динаміки інтенсивності навантаження, жорсткі вимоги до якості їх обслуговування тощо. Мета досліджень. Створення концепції віртуального обчислювального простору для задоволення потреб розподіленої системи обслуговування споживачів, яка враховує особливості обслуговування, характер навантаження на обчислювальні вузли, вимоги до якості обслуговування та забезпечує енергоефективність. Розроблені моделі, методи дозволять контролювати продуктивність розподіленої обчислювальної інфраструктури та процеси обслуговування потоків, скорочувати час простою обчислювальних ресурсів і надавати послуги кінцевим користувачам на заданому рівні якості. Методика реалізації. Аналіз роботи механізму оцінки навантаження вузла, який полягає в динамічній зміні інтенсивності контролю стану функціональних вузлів, показав ефективність планування для групи обчислювальних вузлів. Результати досліджень. Запропонований підхід до управління гетерогенним обчислювальним середовищем для підвищення ефективності процесу обслуговування сервісів у системах нового покоління є уніфікованим рішенням для високонавантажених розподілених систем. Розроблена концепція дозволила уникнути зниження якості обслуговування під час сплесків заторів та підтримувати показники якості обслуговування на заданому рівні за умови збереження коефіцієнта використання ресурсів у заданих межах. Висновки. У підсумку запропоновано математичну модель задачі визначення максимально допустимого обсягу навантаження із забезпеченням рівня QoS для вузла обслуговування в неоднорідному телекомунікаційному середовищі

    El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar los datos obtenidos a través de una plataforma on-line, mediante diferentes técnicas de clasificación y aprendizaje orientadas al descubrimiento del conocimiento. Se aplican técnicas de minería de datos para obtener relaciones de fiabilidad que informen del interés de los usuarios por cumplimentar de manera rigurosa el cuestionario on-line atendiendo al modo de realizar el mismo. Aunque existen técnicas que nos permiten observar el comportamiento de los usuarios mientras realizan el cuestionario, en este caso se emplean Redes Neuronales Artificiales para predecir el comportamiento de aquellos, atendiendo a variables obtenidas al realizar el cuestionario. La muestra consta de 1.636 participantes de diferentes zonas geográficas y rangos de edad, obtenida al contestar de manera anónima o identificada al cuestionario Inventario Psicológico para el Seguimiento de Talentos Deportivos (IPSETA). Los resultados obtenidos mediante las diferentes técnicas de análisis informan que el género femenino pre#ere realizar el registro en la plataforma para cumplimentar el cuestionario, alcanzando un alto porcentaje de fiabilidad (70%).+e aim of this study is to analyse a set of data got through an on-line platform, using some ranking and knowledge oriented discovery rules techniques. Data mining techniques are applied to obtain a reliable relationship which can show the interest of the users in order to #ll rigorously the on-line questionnaire attending to the way they do. Although there are programming techniques which allows us to observe the behaviour of users while #lling the survey, current work uses arti#cial neural networks to predict their behaviour, based on variables obtained from the own survey. +e sample is made up of 1,636 participants from di;erent geographical areas and age ranges, obtained anonymously by answering the IPSETA questionnaire which is used for a psychological monitoring of sport talents. +e results obtained using the analysis techniques show that females prefer to register on the platform to #ll the survey, getting a high reliability (70%).O objetivo deste estudo é analisar um conjunto de dados através de uma plataforma on-line utilizando diferentes técnicas ou regras de descoberta de conhecimento orientado. The new literacies of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICTs) are influencing all areas of our personal and professional domains. The fact of people interacting everyday by the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) becomes an issue that makes the scientific community to reconsider the way it makes its work and the way it is gathering individual subjects in its researching. Therefore, virtual platforms for evaluating and researching will provide a useful tool to get individual subjects and gathering the whole information. This paper presents “Menpas”, a Psychosocial Evaluation virtual platform which is developed in the field of Sports Psychology, but it is open to other researching fields where researching and evaluation are taken related to several surveys and applications developed in the platform.For example, descriptive data related to IPSETA, IPED, PID surveys, available in the platform, are used in order to set significant differences between anonymous and identified evaluation.Resumo: O desenvolvimento de uma sociedade cada vez mais tecnológica e de cidadãos com maior necessidade de interagir por meio das TIC (Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação) está a conduzir a comunidade científica a repensar a forma de gerir o seu trabalho e os meios de acesso à investigação, bem como aos sujeitos que são analisados. A partir desta abordagem, o uso de plataformas virtuais para avaliação e investigação facilita tanto o acesso dos indivíduos, como o trabalho dos investigadores. No presente trabalho apresentamos a plataforma de Avaliação Psicossocial "MenPas", desenvolvida especialmente para o campo da Psicologia do desporto, embora seja também possível a sua utilização em outras disciplinas, que desenvolvem avaliação e investigação através de diversos questionários, , nas quais avaliações e investigações são desenvolvidas com relação aos diferentes questionários e aplicações nela implementadas.     SGAT: Programa informático para análisis de generalizabilidad

    This paper describes a new software application for generalizability analysis. The characteristics of this software overcome the limitations of existing programs (GENOVA, GT and EduG) at both the numerical and graphical level, as well as in relation to data import/export. Its environment is also more user-friendly. The effectiveness of the new software is illustrated by analysing data and evaluating results from an intervention programme whose aim was to reduce gender discrimination in physical education classes. This part of the study used an observational design and a partially-nested orthogonal generalizability design with six facets. The intervention programme lasted six months and involved 100 children aged 10-12 years (51 girls and 49 boys) who were distributed across four classes in primary year five. The results of the generalizability analysis indicated that the observation instrument was a reliable, valid and precise tool, and also that observers were highly reliable (k = 0.73-0.81, G = 1). The ANOVA carried out indicated that the intervention programme had been effective. The SAGT software was likewise shown to be effective and user-friendly.Ele apresenta um novo software para análise de generalização. Suas características superar as limitações dos programas anteriores (Génova, ou EDUG TG), tanto em termos de processamento numérico e gráfico e dados de importação/exportação. O ambiente do programa é mais amigável. Para demonstrar a sua eficácia utilizados na análise e avaliação dos resultados de um programa de intervenção para reduzir a discriminação de gênero em aulas de educação física (EF). Um projeto observacional e generalização projeto ortogonal 6 facetas aninhados parcialmente utilizado. O programa é executado por seis meses. A amostra é constituída por 100 alunos (51 meninas e 49 meninos) com idade entre 10 e 12 anos que estavam no Ensino Primário e 5 foram divididos em quatro grupos. Os resultados da análise indicam que a generalização da ferramenta de observação é fiável, preciso e válidos e que os observadores são altamente fiáveis (k = 0.73 para 0.81, G = 1). A ANOVA realizada indica que o programa de intervenção tem sido eficaz. Também demonstrou a eficácia ea usabilidade do programa sagt.Se presenta un nuevo software para realizar análisis de generalizabilidad.     Physical activity is related to mood states, anxiety state and self-rated health in COVID-19 lockdown

    The main goal of this research is to study the relationships between physical activity, mood states and self-rated health in the Spanish lockdown (March 2020–April 2020) due to the state of alarm caused by COVID-19. The participants were 328 people aged between 19 and 59 years (M = 37.06; SD = 10.82). Females comprised 63.70% of the participants, and 36.30% were male. An associative, comparative and predictive design was used in this research. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), the Profile of Mood State (POMS), the state anxiety scale of the State-Trait Anxiety Questionnaire (STAI) and the General Health Questionnaire GHQ−12 were applied in order to measure the study variables. Both correlation and linear regression analyses were performed, showing that physical activity is positively related to health perception and mood. Similarly, data have shown that moderate physical practice predicts better health perceptions and positive mood states than vigorous physical activity. Specifically, moderate physical activity is the only variable that predicts the anxiety state (R = 0.22; R 2 adjusted = 0.05; F = 15.51; p < 0.001). In addition, it has been detected that mood is related to the perception of the state of health. Outcomes suggest that practicing moderate physical activity during these types of situations could amortize its negative effects on psychological health and benefit a more positive mental state. Future studies should consider the employment status of the sample to detect possible differences based on this variable

    Attentional Span Is Determined by Sport Discipline

    Many studies have highlighted the impact of sport on cognitive functioning. However, more evidence is needed to explain which type of sport is more relevant. The main purpose of this study was to determine the level of attention span based on the type of sport practiced (open vs. closed). In addition, this problem was also analyzed based on gender and training hours. The study sample consisted of 547 participants (27.20% male; 72.80% female), aged between 19 and 35 years old (M = 24.19; SD = 3.74). The “Modrian Images” computerized test, hosted in MenPas Cell software(MenPas 1.0), was used to assess the attention span. The results showed that athletes playing open sports have a better attentional span than others playing closed sports. Moreover, this was also replicated when assessing by gender. Likewise, a greater number of hours in a week participating in sports is related to a better level of attentional span, being less determinant than the type of sport practiced. Data obtained suggest that playing open sports would be more related to the greater development of attention span than playing more closed sports
