Heavy-flavour measurements in p-Pb collisions with ALICE at the LHC
The measurements of open heavy-flavours, i.e. D mesons at central rapidity
and leptons from charm and beauty decays at central and forward rapidity was
studied in p-Pb collisions at = 5.02 TeV using the ALICE
detector. The results are presented and compared to model predictions including
cold nuclear matter effects.Comment: Proceedings of XXII DAE-BRNS High Energy Physics Symposium 2016,

CONSTITUENT DIMENSIONS OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION: A STUDY OF NATIONALISED AND PRIVATE BANKS
Satisfaction of the customers is invaluable asset for the modern organizations, providing unmatched competitive edge. It helps in building long-term relationship as well as brand equity. The best approach to customer retention is to deliver high level of customer satisfaction that result in, strong customer loyalty. Satisfaction being a judgment, that a product or service feature or the product or service itself, provides a pleasurable level of consumption related fulfillment, is dynamic in nature. It is the result of interplay of a number of factors, which vary from one product/service category to another. Present study is aimed at exploring the determinant factors and hence developing dimensions of customer satisfaction for nationalized and private banks. Two-stage factor analysis was computed to arrive at the dimensions of customer satisfaction. The study revealed ten factors and five dimensions of customer satisfaction for nationalized and private banks respectively.customer satisfaction, private amd public banks.
Design Optimization of Photovoltaic System for Domestic Customers
In the present work, a comparison between different population based optimization methods are applied to design optimization of standalone Photovoltaic (SPV) system. The purpose of these methodologies is to obtain optimum values of the design parameters of SPV system, such that the overall economic profit is maximized throughout the PV system lifetime operational period. Out of many design parameters available for SPV system, in the present work only few parameters are taken. The optimal design parameters chosen here are PV modules optimum tilt angle, optimum number of PV module and optimal positioning of PV modules within the provided installation area. The objective function of the proposed evolutionary optimization algorithms implemented for design optimization of the SPV system is the total profit incurred during the lifetime operational period of SPV system, which has to be maximized. Simulation results of design optimization of SPV system by using Genetic Algorithm (GA),qParticle Swarm Optimization (PSO)qand Differential Evolutionq (DE) technique are obtained. Simulation results shows that DE and PSO have similar performance and both of them had performed better compared to GA when all algorithms are computed for equal iterations and population size
Free Flexural Vibration of Multiple Stepped Beams by Spectral Element Method
The free vibration analyses of multiple-stepped Bernoulli-Euler beam with various boundary conditions have been studied by many researchers using different methods of analysis such as Differential Quadrature Element Method (DQEM), Composite Element Method (CEM), Admonian Decomposition Method (ADM), Differential Quadrature Method (DQM), Local adaptive Differential Quadrature Method (LaDQM), Discrete Singular Convolution (DSC) algorithm etc., besides the conventional analytical methods and finite element methods. In this work the Spectral Element Method (SEM) for analysis of stepped-beams has been used. The second part of the work is concerned with the free flexural vibration of multiple-stepped Timoshenko beam with various boundary conditions using the Spectral Element Method (SEM). Accurate computation of even the higher modes of vibration frequencies with consideration of least number of degrees of freedom is possible using SEM thus promising very high computational efficiency. Validation of this method is performed with various numerical solutions. A comparison between application of both Euler-Bernoulli and Timoshenko beam theory to the same beam is carried out and various important physical parameters are also investigate
