Real hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians with commuting restricted Jacobi operators

In this paper, we have considered a new commuting condition, that is, $(R_\xi\phi) S = S (R_\xi\phi)$ \big(resp. (\Bar{R}_N\phi) S = S (\Bar{R}_N\phi)\big) between the restricted Jacobi operator~$R_\xi\phi$ (resp. \Bar{R}_N\phi), and the Ricci tensor $S$ for real hypersurfaces $M$ in $G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2})$. In terms of this condition we give a complete classification for Hopf hypersurfaces $M$ in $G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2})$

다산 정약용의『목민심서(牧民心書)』에 나타난 자(慈) 개념과 의료윤리

Traditional medical ethics which underpins its basis on ‘four principles’ is not sufficient for guiding doctors in complex medical situation. This paper explores Dasan (茶山) Jeong Yakyong’s thought about the concept of Mercy (慈) in Mokminsimseo (牧民心書) that may work as a guidance for modern medi-cine. Firstly, we try to understand Dasan``s thought and the keynote of Mokminsimseo (牧民心書). Nextly, this paper explain the meaning of what is Dasan (茶山) Jeong Yakyong’s the concept of Mercy (慈). Final-ly, we emphasize that Jeong Yakyong’s the concept of Mercy (慈) can be the principle of doctor``s profes-sionalism.ope

Natural Supersymmetry and b -> s gamma constraints

We investigate constraints from the observed branching ratio for b -> s gamma and fine-tuning in the framework of natural supersymmetry. The natural supersymmetry requires the large trilinear coupling of the stop sector, light higgsinos (a small mu parameter) and light stops, in order to reduce the fine-tuning in the Higgs sector while avoiding the LEP constraint. It is found that in such a scenario 5% (10%) level of fine-tuning is inevitable due to the b -> s gamma constraint even if the messenger scale is as low as 10^5 GeV (10^4 GeV), provided that the gaugino masses satisfy the GUT relation.Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures; version to be published in PL

Philosophical Interactions between "East and West": China, Korea, Europe and the Case of Dasan (Jeong Yak-yong, 1762–1836)

Though the Confucian system of thought, society, and government has a long history in Korea, Chinese Confucian scholars, preoccupied with the urgency of “saving the Confucian essence” used only Japan as a reference in Asia. Therefore, the present article aims to introduce Dasan 茶山 (Jeong Yak-yong 정약용, 1762–1836), who was one of the main representatives of Korean Confucian philosophy. It exposes his significance for the full-range understanding of the landscape of this important traditional East Asian stream of thought as well as for the intellectual syntheses between Confucian teachings and the Christian religion. The author analyses Dasan’s thought from the Sinological perspective and exposes several elements which represent an elaboration and an upgrading of traditional Chinese Neo-Confucian philosophy.  Ne glede na dejstvo, da ima konfucijanski idejni, družbeni in politični sistem v Koreji že dolgo zgodovino, so kitajski konfucijanski teoretiki v svojih prizadevanjih za »reševanje esence konfucijanstva« kot azijsko referenco običajno upoštevali zgolj Japonsko. Zato namerava pričujoči članek predstaviti Dasana 茶山 (Jeong Yak-yonga 정약용, 1762–1836), ki sodi h glavnim predstavnikom korejske konfucijanske filozofije. Izpostavlja njegov pomen za celovitejše razumevanje širokega spektra te pomembne vzhodnoazijske idejne struje in za vzpostavljanje miselnih sintez med konfucijanskimi nauki in krščansko religijo. Avtorica analizira Dasanovo miselnost iz sinološke perspektive in v njej izpostavi vrsto elementov, ki predstavljajo nadgradnjo tradicionalne kitajske neokonfucijanske filozofije.

Cytotoxicity Study Of Mezzetiaparviflorabecc. Woodbark

The cytotoxic activity of acetone insoluble extract of MezzetiaparvifloraBecc. Wood bark was evaluated on HeLa cell line and it was compared with normal vero cell line to confirming the use of the plant as a traditional medicine for tumor. The experiment with normal vero cell line using MTT assay showed a percentage of cell viability of 96.8% at1000 µg of concentration which was not increase with the increase of concentration of the extract. Whereas, the experiment on HeLa cell line showed a low cytotoxic activity with the viability percentage was found to be 87.4% at1000μg/ml. Therefore the extract was categorized as non-toxic and the next studies is necessary to explore the mechanism liable of the using of the plant extract as anticancer traditional
